Can we agree that this is the happiest and the best choreography we have seen from Rylee on the show?
She has grown so much since the first season and so happy for her:)

Having Shirley Ballas on the show highlights the contrast between her judging style and that of the US judges. As a former Latin champion, she brings a level of technical expertise and constructive criticism that I feel is sorely lacking on DWTS.
To me, it's highlighted just how much the US judges tend to coddle contestants rather than provide genuinely useful feedback. It's also made me question how much value Bruno, in particular, actually adds to the judging panel. I did not like how he referred to her as "The Queen of Mean", after she delivered her comments and found that to be demeaning.
I'd genuinely love to see an overhaul of the judges. I understand they've been there for years, and there's understandably a sentimental attachment for long-time viewers. But I think the quality of judging should ultimately take precedence over nostalgia.
My biggest issue is that poor judging actually limits the contestants' ability to reach their full potential. If you're competing on a dance show and genuinely want to improve, you need specific, constructive criticism that tells you what you're doing wrong and how to get better. Constant praise and inflated scores might feel good in the moment, but they're not necessarily helping anyone grow.Ultimately, I think having more technically rigorous judges would actually benefit the contestants, not just the quality of the show.
Curious to hear what others think. Does anyone else feel Shirley's appearance has exposed some of the weaknesses in the current judging panel?

Have all the Pros/ex Pros gone insane like what is going on why is everyone yapping publicly the craziest things that should stay inside thoughts

(Edit to add: *CONNOR! I forgot to actually put his name lol my bad)
I have loved his personality all season, and hoped for him to get better because his dancing has been fairly mediocre to me and I donât want him to outlast significantly better dancers and all that, and then TONIGHT happens?!
Itâs like he became a different person as a dancer! Like he suddenly connected with how to get his body to move how he wants it to. And it was so good! Graceful, athletic, smooth, lyrical⊠I hope it translates to his next style!

Kinda funny that for the past 3 seasons, someoneâs had a birthday on October 28.
I only know this because Iâve randomly looked up their birthdays before, and I only remembered because itâs also mine đ

Welcome to the live discussion thread for Horror Movie Night on Dancing With The Stars
In no particular order, here are the songs and dance styles for tonight:
Fans will be able to vote during the live simulcast of the show in the ET/CT time zones. During this time, online voting will be available to fans in any time zone in the U.S., its territories and Canada via dwtsvote.abc.com, and fans on participating U.S. wireless carriers can also vote via SMS/text (fans in Canada cannot vote via SMS/text). Live viewer votes from Dedication Night and Horror Movie Night will be combined with the judgesâ scores from both nights to determine which couples will be eliminated after two weeks of dancing.
As usual, RULES APPLY. Let me make this clear: DO NOT post spoilers before the West Coast airing is over.
Enjoy!

I love lurking and commenting but something that I find frustrating with the fanbase (often on this sub, too) is the way people feel comfortable making broad generalizations about the content of someoneâs character.
Not at all defending or a Jenna J /Val Stan by any means (I donât vote for either couple). but I do find it weird and parasocial when people say how âobviousâ it is that certain pros or stars are cocky or that they âknow they have it in the bag.â I would argue theyâre acting no differently than they have in years past.
I know Iâm asking to be downvoted here and donât condone any of Valâs actual recorded behavior (cultural appropriation + CAI), but I donât get how people have been so definitive about them being more âoverconfidentâ this year (since before premiere even) from a TV show where the packages are less than 2 minutes long without some level of projection.
Same with Carrie Ann. She can come off as a lot, but she has barely 10 seconds to talk, Iâm sure itâs not easy to perfectly curate what youâre saying in that time.
Also, performance in ballroom and Latin has a level of confidence that could be perceived as arrogance if thatâs what you want it to be. Mark talked about this on call her daddy with Whitney last year - he described her ability to perform as a âget someâ quality that you canât really teach.
People called Whitney and mark egotistical all last year and I never understood where that came from either. Itâs TV. Theyâre hamming it up for a camera. How could you know how nice or grateful someone is just from existing.
Anyways TLDR, please consider that youâre talking about real people you donât know. Feel free to love or hate their work, but ask yourself why you feel confident commenting on someoneâs character so freely.
Please understand Iâm coming at this in good faith, I really want everyone to have a good time and enjoy the show đ

This photo was taken 30minutes after the episode. Itâs not confirmed but I wouldnât be surprised if this is the team dance with Alfonso next week. Tatyana would pick one side and Connor for the other side since they had the lowest combines judges scores.
Tatyana, Amber, Maura, and Julia
Connor, Ezra, Harry, and Jenna
(Not confirmed just speculation)

Seriously. As a viewer, I become devastated for the next 24 hours over eliminations.Â
Knowing the blood, sweat, and tears put into the dances, the relationships building off camera, the luxurious treatment, I cannot even begin to understand how they go back to life as scheduled, ESPECIALLY when your time is cut shorter than you anticipated.Â
