I am reposting this with better visuals for comparison. I recently gathered some advice from the community on what they think of this typography that i made which is to serve as the logo for my series.
I was really going for this sort of arabic/scripture-ish feel, which i think really captured the whole tone of the series.
There were lots of valid opinions, and most of them centered on one main concern which is clarity.
So decided to have two versions of it, one STYLIZED which i plan to use for the front covers. And a SIMPLIFIED one which will be for thumbnails and whenever i need to shrink.
What do you guys think?

I have a character for a comic i'm working on. She is a Cupid themed assassin. And I don't know which motivation to choose for her. 1. She does what she does out of trauma, involving a boy when they were teens and punishes all the bad partners and even the nice ones sometimes. I worry this one is bland and there are many Cupid themed characters out there who have a motivation linked to love. And 2. She does what she does for money and just has a fascination for Cupid. But this may not be interesting enough. In any case she will hear or find a deep motivation throughout the book

Hello. I got a 4 chapters of the prototype version of my comic done. Most pages are uncolored and the story is not fully finished, I just wanted to ask for feedback on this.
You also should have a synopsis of the comic in the link. (Other link in comments)

This is something that's been mind-boggling to me after reading many food/cooking inspired Manga like Crazy Food Truck, Food Wars, and Dungeon Meshi. Is there any Comics similar to something like this genre of sorts?
If not, tell me (respectfully) and why?

Honestamente me divertí mucho haciéndola.

Hey guys, here's a sampler for my graphic novel. I had to grind my ass off to get to a place where I can draw well enough to at least be able to tell my story. This is from chapter 4 so obviously context is missing. I just want to know if it reads easily and flows cleanly. What you think of the draftsmanship (pretty insecure about this)
I'd appreciate any feedback and hope you guys enjoy.

I took some critique from my last few pages and decided to try and add them into the latest page of mine
As always, please let me know what I could do better

I'm teaching myself how to make comics, and I'd like to know if my comic is easy to understand, if anything is confusing, and what story you get from it.
Spoiler: Don't read the story below until you've looked at the comic!
After finishing work, someone discovers that their bicycle is missing. They find the cut bike lock on the ground. Then they hear a noise behind them and try to figure out where it's coming from.
Does the story come across clearly? Is there anything you would improve to make it easier to follow? Do you have any advice that could help me learn and improve?

So I'm making comics (mostly for fun). They are all made on paper rather than scanned. On paper, they look ok (I don't know if it's the texture or the white that is not bright on paper, but I feel something is off once on screen. So I tried making this shade/color variant to get different results and I would like to get someone else's opinion on these attempts.
The last panel is the original,
Thank you

this is my first time using reddit and i didn't know where to post this, but i wanted to ask a community what they'd like to see in a zombie story. i wanted to know what to consider while writing it(like do people want realism of the zombies decay and be dead in a couple weeks?). are people fine if the story later forgets about the zombies? what style would people like it drawn: comic or anime? any bases i should cover when i create my zombies?

Hey everyone!
I'm an aspiring comic book writer currently developing an original comic book universe, and I'm looking for a talented, passionate illustrator who would be interested in becoming a 50/50 creative and ownership partner on the project.
My ultimate goal is to develop a professional-quality comic series and submit it to Image Comics for potential publication.
About the Project:
The first series is a dark, psychological, supernatural crime thriller centered around a homicide detective. It explores themes of morality, nihilism, free will, grief, religion, and the nature of good and evil.
I'm approaching this as a serious, long-term project, with an overarching story planned across multiple volumes and the potential to expand into a larger interconnected comic universe.
I'm heavily inspired by mature, character-driven storytelling and want to create something that feels cinematic, philosophical, disturbing, and emotionally compelling.
What I'm Looking For:
I'm searching for an illustrator who genuinely loves comics and wants to help build something from the ground up. Ideally, someone who:
\- Has a strong passion for comic book storytelling.
\- Is comfortable illustrating darker, mature subject matter.
\- Wants creative input rather than simply being handed a script.
\- Is interested in building a long-term creative partnership.
\- Has ambitions of eventually seeing their work professionally published.
Compensation & Ownership:
I want to be completely transparent: this is not a paid position.
I'm not looking to hire someone for free labor. I'm looking for an equal creative partner who believes in the potential of the project as much as I do.
My proposal is 50/50 ownership of the comic project, with any future profits split equally, subject to a mutually agreed written partnership agreement.
We would work together to develop the artwork, characters, visual identity, and submission materials needed to approach publishers like Image Comics.
Obviously, publication isn't guaranteed, and I don't want to pretend otherwise. But I'm serious about putting in the work necessary to give this project a legitimate chance.
Interested?
Feel free to comment or send me a DM with examples of your artwork, your experience, and what kind of comics you're passionate about.
I'd love to connect with someone who shares the ambition of creating something we're both genuinely proud to put our names on.
Thanks for reading!
