Forever This subreddit would trade fun racials for 0.5% DPS.
Plainsrunning is the single coolest racial in the entire game, and all people want to do is complain that Tauren don't also get a racial that will give them a tiny bit more DPS in PvE.
All this complaining is just going to result in all the fun racials being stripped away so everyone can have identical DPS numbers in PvE. As a human player, I would HAPPILY give up 1% crit for any fun racial. 1% crit is boring. Hell, Blizzard could replace Will to Survive with something fun, and I wouldn't care. This is a GAME.
Enjoy the fun, flavorful racials; a minuscule amount of DPS is not worth losing them. Please, Blizzard, don't listen to the whiners.

Forever The naming restrictions are too much
The word "Con" is restricted, because of this I can't even name my character Connor, which is my fucking name. Thanks Claude.

Forever I'm not angry about missing out on names. I'm angry about wasting time on it.
I didn't expect everything to go off without a hitch. I was here back in 2005 when we were trying to raid MC and server lag was so persistent during primetime hours that it often made the content unplayable (for those who didn't experience it - the rubberbanding was so intense that you literally could not manage large trash pulls. Every time you tried to do it, the raid would wipe. And it's not like we had the content on farm or something during that era).
So yeah, Blizzard has an established history going back to the beginning of just outright... muffing it; having technical issues.
But all I wanted to do was spend 5 minutes reserving three damned names. And I know that by the time I get in - whenever that might be - that they'll be gone. Because they're common.
It's just frustrating. I'm more mad at myself than anything - I, once again, was taken for a ride; I thought that this time, perhaps, I could actually do XYZ involving Blizzard Entertainment and not wind up with a clusterfuck.
Silly. Me.

Forever (EU) If your play button is still greyed out for name reservation
Click your profile name and check if it says you're connected to "Americas". If it is, log out and click Switch Accounts. In the top right should now be a cog wheel you can click to select Europe. Log back in. Play button shouldn't be greyed out anymore.
Of course this doesn't fix servers not being up yet, but might at least fix that.

Forever What's one thing from Cataclysm you'd like to avoid seeing this time?
It's stupid but... I hate the Forsaken architecture. To me, one of the coolest thing about the undead was that they were essentially ghosts residing in the ruins of their old homes. It was haunting; it added to their creepiness, and also helped to tie them to their old lives - constantly reminding them of what they were, what they had become, and driving them to wrath and sorrow. When you think about what that torment must have meant to experience day to day, it helps explain a lot about how the Forsaken think and behave.
By bulldozing all of that infrastructure, that was lost. Not only did the new undead architecture feel cartoonish and almost Halloween-y, but it implied the undead having outgrown some of the lonesome and unsettling nature that had made them so frightening in the first place. That might be a service to the undead, but to us as players, who want that grit and (let's face it) horror, it was a change for the worse.
The Forsaken shouldn't be living in a theme park - it was the wrong choice to make, and I hope they don't repeat it.
