Got 20% ceramic tint on sides & back, 70% on the windshield and a 5% visor, black Honda badges coming in soon and likely a duckbill spoiler. Couldn’t be happier, absolutely in love with this car

Back with another update! 🤓

Threw on these parts over the weekend and I’m genuinely surprised how much different the car looks compared to when I drove it off the lot… (last pic for reference).

I absolutely love how it turned out, it feels like a complete car now. The only other thing I’d like to change in the future is the wheels (maybe gunmetal or gloss black?).

Other than that, my focus now is going to be the interior. I’ve got some upcoming plans to install SYNTH Carbon’s interior lighting kit and Billetworkz automatic shift knob!

New Purchase Never Had Such a Nice Car

Post image

I've spent my whole life buying just about the cheapest used cars I could find and the last 7 years in a 2018 Chevy Cruze with extensive hail damage.

This 2026 Sport Touring Hybrid is my first brand new, undamaged car where I didn't fuss about budget, and I'm obsessed. Put some all-weather tires on her and I actually feel pretty good about getting safely and comfortably through this winter. Plus mileage, damn.

I bought a gas engine civic for durability, and so I could keep the car as long as possible. but if I had a lot more disposable income I would have gone hybrid. I dont regret my choice but… still a little envious of the hybrid.

Civic Hybrid owners- Which driving mode do you use most?

I use Sport mode in my ‘25 Civic HST all the time. It’s the first thing I do after pressing the start button. The throttle response is the primary reason. I tried Normal for a few weeks after I got the car to establish a baseline MPG. The difference using Sport mode is negligible (less than 1mpg).

Just curious about other owned experiences.

New 2026 Civic - Unusual Paint Sealing

Post image
9 Upvotes

Recently purchased a new Civic Hatchback, and located this on the sealing just above the fixed window on one side. It looks like paint was applied over the seal, causing it to curl up into a crack/separation. I worry that this could cause moisture to invade between the paint and the seal. Anyone come across something like this on their new Civic? Is this something I should be concerned about?

Advice Request Auto-off Seat Warmer? 11th Gen

I want the seat warmers to automatically turn off either when the car turns off or right at start up. I know there is a module you can install to disable the engine auto-start idling feature right when the car turns on, and I’m wondering if there’s something like that for the seats too.

I’d like to have to manually turn on the seat warmers each time they’re used instead of them remembering their status. I keep noticing the passenger seat is at full blast when I’m driving alone since my partner uses it every trip.

Civic LX Clutch

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey All,

I really need some input, I have a 2018 Honda Civic LX hatchback, 1.5 turbo, six-speed manual, with 110,000 miles. It’s at a Honda service center, and they quoted $6,600 for an OEM clutch and flywheel. I shopped around a little but got quotes all around the $5,000-$6,000 mark and my understanding is that it's because the flywheel is dual-mass and stupid expensive. Are there any clutch-kits with flywheels that you know would fit/ have used? I'm thinking aftermarket is my only hope here. I know it's only an LX level, but I do like this car a lot and would love to keep it going.

Thanks in advance.

Advice Request Need tips for dailying my Ek3

Thumbnail

So i got a Honda Civic Ek3 with 290k km or 180k miles and decided to daily it from now on instead of having it as a project/hobby car.

Main reason basically is because i found some bad rust (as you can see) and i dont know if it’s worth having it welded anymore and put any more money into it so that’s why i decided to just drive it until the rust becomes too bad or something else happens i guess.

I did buy some maintenance stuff like 10w40 high mileage oil, hamp oil filter, Honda coolant, thermostat, timing belt, waterpump and lastly an valve cover gasket. I’m planning on having all these things installed in the hopes of having it reliable and having a new starting point since the previous maintenance history is unknown and i dont know if the car was driven hard (it probably was since it used to be lowered and had a strut brace in the trunk etc…).

So my question to you guys, will the car be ok after having all that maintenance stuff put in the car? Any other important preventive stuff that i might’ve missed?

Thanks

Honda civic sport MPG

I’ve recently bought a 2018 1.5 V-tec Honda civic sport hatchback in the Uk. I’m used to my work horse ford fiesta 1.6 diesel wich gets me 55+mpg and still use it. I can’t help but be bothered by only getting 24mpg in eco mode on the Honda. It’s a sport and it’s a petrol I get it’s not the most economical but I’m trying to find out weather or not it’s an issue with the car or I’m just being pedantic. I do like to put my foot down and enjoy the sportiness off it but not all of the time.
