During Sharon Verma's live show someone from the audience made a cheap remark saying "Steal something when the show ends" just bcz she's from Bihar.

Her comeback?

She replied,I kept the ticket prices high so that people like you couldn't afford to get in.

Honestly she ate and left no crumbs! Some people need to be reminded that disrespecting someone based on where they come from says far more about their own character than theirs.

✈️ Travel / यात्रा Sampoorna Kranti Express 12393: 3AC feels like GENERAL COACH

Post image
115 Upvotes

Guys, is this becoming normal in Sampoorna Kranti Express (12393)?

I’ve been travelling on this train since my college days in 2015, and in nearly 90% of my journeys, I’ve preferred Sampoorna Kranti. But since last month, I’ve noticed an unusually heavy crowd in the 3AC coaches. I can’t comment on 2AC.

In my last five journeys, whenever I reached my reserved seat, I found several unauthorised passengers sitting there. They ask you to adjust as if it’s a general coach. Sometimes, 4–5 people are sitting on a single berth, even though they don’t have reserved seats.

Most of them seem to be travelling from Patna to Ara, and I haven’t seen the TT checking tickets or taking any action. What’s even more surprising is that everyone seems to have accepted this as normal.

Is 3AC slowly becoming a general coach? Is the same thing happening on Tejas Rajdhani, or is this problem limited to Sampoorna Kranti?

And if you’re one of those passengers, I genuinely want to understand why you think it’s okay to inconvenience someone who has paid for a confirmed reservation, waited months for a ticket, or even paid extra for Tatkal or through an agent.

Why should someone who has paid for their seat be forced to adjust with unauthorised passengers?

I’d really like to hear other passengers’ experiences and understand why the railway authorities aren’t addressing this.

🗣 Discussion / चर्चा Bihari yahan Bihari ko hi loot-ta hai: painful realization after what a cab driver did to my relative battling cancer.

Living in Mumbai, I’ve often heard the phrase, "Bihari yahan Bihari ko hi loot-ta hai."
I never took it seriously, though I’d occasionally notice that vendors from UP/Bihar would quote higher prices without room for negotiation the moment they realized we shared the same native region—while we naively thought we were supporting our own people. I usually ignored it.
A recent incident, however, showed me how predatory some people can be.

My relative traveled from Muzaffarpur to Mumbai for cancer treatment. I usually handle pick-ups and drop-offs, but this time his 21-year-old son accompanied him. While heading back, they insisted I stay home rather than make the 25 km trip from Navi Mumbai to LTT.
My nephew booked a Rapido cab to LTT. The driver was also from Bihar. As they conversed, the driver realized they were out-of-towners returning after hospital treatment. My nephew trusted him and didn't monitor the GPS.( I would say careless but yeah 21 year old these things happen) The driver exploited that trust and deliberately drove them toward Navi Mumbai Airport instead.

Once they reached the airport area, the driver blatantly lied: "Aapne airport ka hi booking daala tha." They argued, but with train departure time ticking down, filing an app complaint and waiting around wasn't an option. The driver then held them to ransom: he demanded an extra ₹1,400 to take them to LTT. They had already paid around ₹600 for the original trip. Rattled, racing against time, and slightly embarrassed to disturb me at the last minute, my nephew bargained it down to ₹1,200–₹1,300 and paid up just to make sure my ailing relative caught the train.

Once they boarded safely, my nephew called and explained what happened. I immediately contacted Rapido support. Support claimed that the booking showed LTT, but suggested the passenger might have requested a reroute. I pushed back: the app route was never altered; the driver deliberately hijacked the destination knowing a cancer patient was on board. Rapido confirmed the passenger's safety, promised an internal probe, and refunded the base fare plus a meager ₹300 credit toward the extorted amount.

Later, my relative told me over the phone: "Babu, ye Bihari hi Bihari ko thag leta hai... Jaane dijiye, hum sakushal train mein baith toh gaye." (Son, it's our own people who exploit us... let it go, at least we made it onto the train safely.)
His words hit hard. Had the driver tried this stunt on a local Mumbaikar, he’d have faced immediate consequences on the spot. Instead, he chose to prey on a vulnerable patient and an anxious kid from his own home state.
Stereotypes don't appear out of thin air—they stick because unscrupulous people actively choose to validate them.

🗣 Discussion / चर्चा Puppy severely neglected and chained near Bhootnath Road, Patna. Need an NGO/Volunteer to step in.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello everyone,

I am writing this because I desperately need the help of a local animal rescue NGO or an independent volunteer in Patna.

A neighbor in my area is severely neglecting a puppy (a Golden Retriever/Lab mix). This owner previously had two dogs, one died of neglect, and the other ran away. Now, this new puppy is facing the exact same cruelty.

I recently saw the puppy, and it broke my heart:

• He is permanently chained to a wall with less than 2 feet of space to move.

• He is forced to sit in his own urine and feces.

• His water bowl is completely muddy and dirty, and he is only given stale roti.

• When anyone goes near him, the poor guy just starts crying.

I cannot intervene directly or confront the neighbor myself because I am a minor and my parents will get very angry if they find out I reported this. Can an adult volunteer or NGO team please do a welfare check or rescue him?. I am looking for an adult volunteer or an NGO team who can physically visit this location, handle the situation, and rescue this pup.

The location is near Bhootnath Road, Patna. If you are a volunteer or know an active rescue group who can take this up immediately, please comment here or DM me. I will share the exact landmark/location privately via DM to protect privacy.

Please help. I cannot watch this puppy suffer like this anymore.

🗣 Discussion / चर्चा The Double Standards We Need to Reflect On as Indians

I think there is a broader issue we need to reflect on as Indians. We often object when people stereotype our state or community because of the actions of a few individuals, but sometimes we end up doing the same to others.

For example, when a crime is committed by a Bihari, it is unfair to assume that all Biharis share the same traits. The same logic should apply when a crime is committed by a Muslim, a Hindu, or anyone belonging to a particular community.

In cases like the reported killing of Ankita Kumari by her Muslim husband, the crime deserves serious attention, and the accused should be held accountable according to the law. Recognising the seriousness of a crime does not require us to blame an entire religious community for it.

We can condemn a crime, demand justice for the victim and discuss the circumstances surrounding the incident without turning it into a judgement about millions of people who had nothing to do with it.

This is not just a Bihar issue. Across India, we sometimes apply different standards depending on which community is involved. We ask others not to judge us collectively, yet we may find ourselves doing exactly that when someone from another community is accused of wrongdoing.

Perhaps we should reflect on this inconsistency. If we believe that individuals should be held responsible for their own actions, that principle should remain the same regardless of their religion, caste or state.

🙋‍♀️ Individual query / व्यक्तिगत प्रश्न Need recommendations for a eye doctor in Bihar for my kid

My daughter has been sitting really close to Tv lately and sometimes

complains that she can't see what's written on the board at school.

I am thinking of getting her eyes properly checked from ASG hospital which is near us.

We have also checked Laxmi Netralaya and shree balaji but we have heard more reviews about asg

Has anyone taken their child there? How was the consultation, and did the doctor explain things properly? Just want to make sure I choose a good doctor for her.

✋ AskBihar / बिहार से पूछो Anyone in Hyderabad preparing for BPSC along with a corporate job?

Hi everyone!

I’m currently living in Hyderabad and working a corporate job in HITEC City. Alongside work, I’m seriously preparing for the BPSC exam in English medium.

I’m looking to connect with someone who is also preparing for BPSC, JPSC, UPSC, or another State PSC while working in Hyderabad. It would be great to have a like-minded person to discuss preparation strategies, revise topics, and stay motivated.

If things work out, we could also explore sharing a flat or PG, preferably somewhere around HITEC City or nearby areas.

If you’re in a similar situation, feel free to comment or send me a DM. Also, if you know someone who might be interested, please let me know.

Thanks!

🙋‍♀️ Individual query / व्यक्तिगत प्रश्न Can't we have a start-up culture in Bihar

I have heard many of us working outside bihar and having some ideas for startups, while the others are willing to stay in Bihar and invest their time/money in building things from scratch.

So it means, if we have ideas and investment and opportunities then why isn't it coming up in Bihar?

I am genuinely curious to know the reason as to what's stopping us build something big and bring us to some competition with all the other states.

💁‍♂️ Opinion / राय Are women actually becoming feminists

As in fellow years we all have seen a sudden surge of feminism on sm and we all know there are alot of girls who goes on saying all day abt how women are suppressed they should be treated better n all. Which is actually a good thing but then you'd look at her partner who actually jokes on sensitive topics bully feminist guys n girls says he wants her partner to be like her mother so I want to ask all the people who're into feminism why there is this duality

Another perspective where I'll draw some refrence from divija (awkward goat)

I'm sure we all know her pretty well now look at her guy he's not best infect he doesn't look much good on standard patriarchal standards but when u see ur own feminist friend her expectations are sure hinting patriarchal behaviours so please guys I need ur opinion as is it performative
