Baby Sleep - all input welcomed The difference between high sleep needs and low sleep needs babies...

My baby loves to sleep. 10 months old and naps 2-3 times a day for 3-4 hours total and then gives us about 11 hours over night. I was looking at sleep info and it says the range is 12-15 hours a day. I'm on the higher end of that and I was doing the math and that means a lower sleep needs parent has to be an active parent for 3 extra hours a day! 21 hours a week! that's like a whole extra day of parenting!! nearly 3 work shifts more than me. seriously, god bless any of you with low sleep needs babies. i have no idea how you do it 😭😭😭

My 9 month old takes one nap a day, usually 30 minutes. We’re lucky if we get an hour. Then she sleeps from ~10pm to ~9 am and wakes up at least 2 times every night, usually 3-4.

As someone who needs sleep *and* alone time, it’s taking a massive toll on me and is the worse part of being a parent.

My daughter is a horrible sleeper. 13 months old only naps for an hour during the day and is still up every 2 hours at night. She also is super high energy and NEVER sits still. I’m EXHAUSTED

Thank you. I needed to hear this lol

My baby is 7.5 months old and does 2 THIRTY MINUTE naps a day and sleeps 9-10.5 hours overnight.

If he does more daytime sleep, the nighttime drops to 7.5-8.5 hours which often results in a 4:30am wakeup.

If he has lesser daytime sleep aka 30 min naps we get the honor to wake up after 5:30am ...most of the time πŸ™ƒ

He has hit all milestones early. All of them. He got 7 teeth in 8 weeks starting right about 6 months old. And he is extremely active.

My #1 thing I hear when people meet him other than how cute his eyes are is "wow he is SO alert". Yes yes I know lolol

He is super super cute and really fun and an absolute joy but I'm gonna need to start training for a marathon soon to keep up with this kiddo πŸ˜‚

Oh and I'm a full time stay at home mom. Send help πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
