As you probably know if you live in Berlin, every year that passes more and more music and alternative venues have to close. Watergate, Griessmühle, Johnny Knüppel, RAW and Renate (saved for the moment), Tacheles back in the day...

Some friends and I have started a collective to organize events/concerts in places that are struggling so we can fundraise and support them 🫶🏼 The next one is this Friday 30th in BLO Ateliers, a former Deutsche Bahn warehouse complex near Ostkreuz that is facing closure in a few months. It's a huge complex with 60+ workshops and a Kantine where they do concerts.

The event will be 5 hours of live music and DJs, plus good homemade tapas. It's all non-profit and all the proceeds go to the artists and the venue! We would love to see you there!

I heard horror stories about moving to berlin but when i moved with my ex we got the first apartment we saw. So i thought it cant be too difficult. Now im single and looking for an apartment, my current apartment ends 31st dec and im giving up hope of ever finding anything. Any tips?
Im looking for 2 room 1100 euro warm (3x income). Looking outside the ring too. Uptill now i always got acceptances so really dont know what the issue is.

an der Professur für Psychotherapie der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin suchen wir aktuell Teilnehmende für die GAIN-Studie.

Untersucht wird ein sogenanntes Blended-Care-Angebot: eine kurze Gruppenintervention (5 Termine) kombiniert mit einer digitalen Intervention über einen Chatbot.

Teilnehmen können Erwachsene, die aktuell nicht in Psychotherapie sind und unter einer oder mehreren der folgenden Belastungen leiden:

• Niedergeschlagenheit
• Antriebslosigkeit
• Ängste
• Schlafprobleme

Die fünf Gruppensitzungen beschäftigen sich jeweils mit einem der folgenden Themen:

• Schlaf
• Angst
• Sorgen & Grübeln
• Depression
• Ressourcen

Die Teilnahme ist kostenfrei. Das Angebot wird aus Studienmitteln finanziert, es erfolgt keine Abrechnung über die Krankenkasse.

Für die Studie werden Teilnehmende zufällig einer von zwei Gruppen zugeteilt: Entweder startet die Teilnahme direkt mit der nächsten Gruppe oder etwa vier Monate später.

Ablauf der Studie:

• Online-Screening (ca. 5 Minuten)
• Kurzes Telefongespräch (ca. 15 Minuten)
• Drei Online-Fragebögen (vor der Gruppe, direkt nach der Gruppe und 12 Wochen später; jeweils ca. 20–30 Minuten)

Die Gruppentermine finden in Berlin-Mitte in der Nähe des Alexanderplatzes statt.

I think the title says it all. I’ve had problems since I was 16 (I’m 33 now). Growing worse each year. Already have a mouthguard I did here in Berlin and use it and it helps but not enough. I did botox to ease the pain and strength and it helped but now that it faded away everything is worse. I’m developing tinnitus because of it. I honestly don’t know the right approach so if anyone has recommendations/dentists I would appreciate it.

just wondering which job platforms are best to look for a part-time cook/line cook/Küchehilfe job? Im trying to land some where like a Cafe, Bistro... type of kitchens, small and chill team. But most big platforms like stepstone etc. are filled with hotels, catering services etc. I've been using craigslist. The posts there are very relevant, and real, but just very limited options. Kleinanzeige is fine ig, just very chaotic. I really have to dig real posts out.
So I wanna ask, Is there any any good job platform you can recommend? THX A LOT!

Planning to have some fun this Saturday with my partner and saw the type of music this party plays is what we are looking for.

So, curious how it actually is?

- too crowded for the small-ish venue or tickets are sold accordingly?
- too sweaty or enough ventilation?
- mostly tourists or 50/50 ish?

Don’t really care about the tourists, but was told to ask.

We plan to spend at least a few hours there, but if it sucks we prob go to another place. Not really into techno, just for the fun of dressing and drinking for the day :)

Last year I was at this playground that had this large wooden pillar with 4 swings attached to it that spins like a carrousel. The thing is I don't remember where in Berlin it is at all as I was very drunk. I tried searching on the internet and found nothing. Has anyone come across this playground and can help me find it?
