my two snow bengal babies will be 4 months old (20 weeks) when I go on a trip to see family. i’m sooo nervous to leave them so young. I plan on interviewing cat sitters, and requesting someone to come 3x a day with 30 min visits. I’m hoping I’ll feel less anxious about it once I meet & find a good sitter, but I’m just so anxious that this is still too long for them to be alone. I’m also scared it’ll affect their bond with me since they’re so little.
I got two bengals because i had only one before, and she was super attached and anxious when I left for just a few hours so I was hoping to avoid that with two, but I didn’t plan on having to leave them so young & so soon!!
Do I need to drop money on a full time house/overnight sitter? Or will 3x a day, 30 mins a day be enough?

Hi everyone!
I'd like to share a problem that's been going on for quite some time, and that I'm really hoping to solve.
I live in Italy, in an apartment, with my two Bengal cats: Rufy, a two-and-a-half-year-old male who is absolutely enormous, incredibly energetic and extremely curious (even more than the average Bengal, according to the vets who have seen him), and Lily, a one-and-a-half-year-old female who joined us about a year ago. Lily is very independent and perfectly capable of playing and entertaining herself, while Rufy has significantly more energy and usually needs me to actively play with him. Just to clarify, Rufy and Lily are not from the same litter.
The main issue is that Rufy, especially in the evening when he's full of energy, becomes particularly fixated on Lily. He constantly stalks her, even when she's simply minding her own business, like looking out of the window. He watches her closely, then sometimes ambushes her or follows her around, occasionally being extremely persistent. I should mention that until recently, this behavior was actually much worse. Rufy wouldn't just stalk her, he would actively chase her down and pin her, causing Lily to scream and growl. Thankfully, he doesn't do that anymore. Now, when he ambushes or chases her, he eventually stops or changes direction (perhaps my timeouts in another room and rewarding him when he chased correctly without blocking her had the desired effect?). However, he can still be incredibly persistent at times. I also want to point out that Rufy never behaves this way when Lily is going to eat, drink, or use the litter box.
There's another behavior I'd like to describe.
Sometimes, Rufy tries to invite Lily to wrestle by rolling onto his back and rubbing himself against the carpet. Lily then jumps on him, and they start wrestling. But at some point, Rufy suddenly rolls over, stands up, arches his back, and starts making a strange snorting or puffing sound through his nose. At that moment, Lily backs away and tries to keep him at a distance by putting her paws against his head. These interactions usually end with a short chase, which Lily stops by jumping onto a higher surface.
Now, here's what makes the whole situation so confusing.
I want to make something very clear: Lily isn't generally afraid of Rufy, and Rufy doesn't hate Lily. I often find them sleeping close to each other in the same room, or grooming each other. Sometimes, when Lily walks past Rufy, she rubs herself against him. Other times, if they spot each other from different rooms or from different heights, they'll actually approach each other, touch noses, exchange a couple of little licks or kisses, and then simply go back to whatever they were doing. I also notice that sometimes Lily herself initiates play, chasing Rufy or ambushing him.
And that's exactly what's driving me crazy. I genuinely don't understand how two cats can go from cuddling and grooming each other on the couch to having the kinds of interactions I described earlier, all within the same day. I really want to correct this behavior because I don't think it's fair to Lily. I've noticed that when Rufy is particularly active, Lily adjusts her behavior to avoid getting too close to him. For example, she'll choose elevated routes instead of walking on the floor, and that bothers me.
Lily deserves to go about her day peacefully, without having to constantly think about what Rufy might do. She loves looking out of the window and is very independent when it comes to playing. Rufy, on the other hand, rarely plays by himself. He usually needs me to engage him in play, and he has considerably more energy than Lily. The thing that makes me sad the most is that I took Lily just to keep Rufy company and now I'm making her life difficult with this situation.
I've already consulted a veterinary behaviorist. During our first appointment, she recommended improving the environmental enrichment in my apartment, which I've been gradually working on. Unfortunately, she has since become largely unresponsive, so I haven't been able to get much further guidance.
Has anyone here experienced a similar situation with their Bengals? I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who have dealt with one Bengal being overly fixated on another, despite the two cats otherwise having a good relationship. Were you able to improve or resolve the behavior? If so, what actually worked for you?
I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this!
I'll also attach a few pictures of my two beasts.

We have two beautiful littermates with contrasting temperaments: one is relentless chaos and always stirring trouble, while the other is calm and peaceful, often asleep.
Our mischievous cat has just this week broken a candle and nearly pulled the tv down. I recognise this is typical Bengal behaviour, yet its constantly keeping me on edge when I’m at home because he’s so destructive. I know it can link to boredom but when I say I play fetch with this boy for hours every day!!! And it’s still not enough. 😭
Does anyone have any guidance on helping him feel more settled and less destructive? I feel I am penalising our well-behaved cat by confining them in a room away from hazards.

We finally got rain here but Yeti wanted to go out on the leash anyway. And he didn’t care that he sat in wet bushes or got dripped on. He could have gone on the porch at any time, but he sat in his favorite squirrel-watching spots even though it was wet. Then when we finished our outdoor project, I brought him in with me and he slept so hard on the couch. He’s so funny.
A couple pics in there of my 3 cats altogether. Yeti, lynx point bengal, about 1.5 years; Voya, brown rosetted bengal, 4.5 years, and Jackie, queen of the household, domestic shorthair torby with a classic tabby pattern, 7 years old. Yeti holding hands with me. He extends his claws to hold my finger but he doesn’t claw me. He just holds my finger. It’s cute!
Share pics of your babies looking cute!!

Does anyone else's bengal/cat do something silly like this?? Ion is 4 and for four years this has been a daily thing for breakfast. Comes into his room, falls down like a fainting goat, and is just the cutest lil guy ever. 🥰🩵

Mochi is a talkative snow bengal, currently 4 months old at 4.3lbs, the best decision I’ve ever made considering I work from home. Very smart and well-behaved. She understands several human words so far and I taught her how to sit in 2 short sessions. 100% prefers being in her tote bag than her carrier to the vet. She is an ultra-spoiled little princess— say hello!
Her brother who became my friend’s baby turned out batshit crazy somehow— still a sweetie.
For anyone with cat allergies: in MY experience, my runny nose, itchy eyes, and sneezing completely disappeared over a month into having her, which was a minor concern I had. The short fur and minimal shedding helps a lot.
Side note: she started drowning specific toys (squirrel and catnip corn) into her water. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

I have to say this all combined was easier than teaching a pug I fostered for a bit how to sit.

My bengal turned 1 about a week ago and she weighs 9.3 lbs, and i have her on a good spaced out auto feeding schedule. To the point when the feeder goes off she bolts to it lol. But she looks... chubby. Am I overreacting?

What is your alls views on laser pointers? It is thoroughly engaging, but in the end, they will never catch the little red dot. Is it fun or is it cruel? I haven’t used it yet, but I’ve accidentally introduced the reflection off my watch or phone. Please give me some pros and cons……

I’ve been reading steel boxes are best at eliminating odors. I have the plastic ones and they smell so bad shortly after fulling cleaning. I use arm and hammer multicat litter which worked well at first but doesn’t seem to be cutting it anymore. Any recommendations on boxes and litter? I have 2 cats. One bengal and a bengal/siamese mix.

I purchased and picked up a Bengal kitten from Foreign Bengals in Miami on October 22, 2026. After bringing him home, I noticed diarrhea, blood in his stool, and unusually low activity.
I contacted the breeder and was told these symptoms were normal. I requested help and a refund. The breeder asked me to bring the kitten back, which would require approximately five hours of driving. Given his symptoms, I was concerned about making that trip.
As of this post, the breeder has declined my refund request, and my latest messages have gone unanswered. I have not reached a satisfactory resolution.
I am sharing photographs of what I observed and screenshots of our communications, with personal information removed. I cannot confirm the cause of the symptoms and will update this post with veterinary findings when available.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation after purchasing a kitten? What steps helped you document the concerns and reach a resolution with the breeder?
