Hey everyone! With Halloween just around the corner, we’re doing our first ever AquaJail Art Contest. Draw, paint or do whatever you want to make the best original Halloween themed Aqua Teen Hunger Force Art. If you win, then your art will be featured on a shirt and stickers that will be given away on the Aquajail subreddit. And, of course, the winner gets a shirt and stickers too!

10/02 - 10/18 - Open Submission Period

Note: All submissions must be submitted on the AquaJail Discord server, in the #art-submission channel. The deadline is October 18th, at 11:59pm CDT.

Format: Submissions must be submitted as images on Discord, and the smallest dimension must be at least 2000 pixels. Please try to make them fit roughly within a square aspect ratio, so your art can be put on shirts and stickers!

10/19 - 10/25 - First Round of Voting

All submitted art that meets the rules will be voted on, on the AquaJail Discord server channel #art-voting. First round voting ends October 25h, at 11:59pm CDT

10/26 - 10/30 - Second Round of Voting

The 4 highest voted art pieces will move on to the final round of voting. This voting will also be on the AquaJail Discord server, in #art-voting.

10/31 - Winner announced

Voting ends at 9pm CDT on October 31st and the winner will be announced.

Theme

The theme is “an Aqua Teen Hunger Force Halloween”. You must include both ATHF and Halloween elements in your art. Please keep it focused on Aqua Teen, and don’t include characters from other shows.

Prizes

The winner will get their art put on a shirt and stickers that will be given away on both the the AquaJail subreddit and Discord server. The winner will also receive a shirt and set of stickers. You may even see some familiar faces wearing your art ;)

Rules

1. NO AI ART. This is a contest for HUMAN artists only. If you use AI to create your art, entirely or in part, you will be banned from this art contest and all future ones with no chance of appeal. Your name will also be added to the Wall of Shame, and you will be ineligible to receive any giveaway prizes that result from this contest or any future ones.

2. NO NSFW ART. Please do not submit art that is extremely sexual, gross or that you otherwise wouldn’t want to wear on a shirt in public. Since this is a Halloween themed contest violence and gore are expected, but as a general guideline please don’t push it any farther than the actual show would. (which is still pretty far. Just look at the attic Willie Nelson lives in for reference)

3. NO POLITICS OR HATEFUL THEMES. Politics seem to be discussed everywhere right now, so we don’t need them in the art contest too. Please, avoid any political themes. Hateful themes such as racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and other types of hate are never allowed in the community and they’re not allowed in this art contest.

4. PLEASE SUBMIT ORIGINAL ART. Any art you submit should be original art, made solely by you. It also must be made specifically for this contest, although it’s fine if you reuse parts of previous original art that you’ve created. You may share any art made for this contest freely, during or after the contest. It’s still your art and you can do whatever you want with it.

5. SUBMISSION FORMAT. All submissions must be made on the AquaJail Discord server, in the #art-submission channel. Please try to fit your art into a square aspect ratio, with a minimum size of 2000px by 2000px. This is to ensure that it will fit on shirts (8”x8” final size) and stickers (3”x”3” final size). You may post your art directly, or share a link to your art if it’s too large to be uploaded to Discord. Transparent elements are fine. Over-compressed images may be rejected even if they fit the size requirements, so please use PNG or a similar uncompressed format if possible.

6. ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS. To participate in this contest, you must have a Reddit or Discord account that is at least 90 days old. This account must have posted a comment or post on the AquaJail subreddit or a message on AquaJail Discord server at least once before the start of this contest. Since this is a community art contest, we want to limit submissions to artists from the Aquajail community. You do not have to meet these requirements to vote or win the giveaway.

5. ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS. By submitting art to this contest, you agree to follow the rules as written here and any additional rules or requirements posted on the AquaJail subreddit or Discord server. These rules may be updated without notice to maintain the fairness of the contest. You also agree to allow your art to be used on shirts, stickers and other items distributed, for free, by the AquaJail mod team, in perpetuity. You retain all other rights to your art and may use it as you want. We will never monetize or profit from art submitted in this contest. The AquaJail mod team may disqualify any participant if we believe they have broken any rule, these terms and conditions, or otherwise compromised the fairness or integrity of the contest. Additionally, the mod team may rerun any vote if we believe it was manipulated or unfair to the participants.
