Can't read anything you're saying bro. Maybe next time use the international language all of us know.

But this is a beautiful built. Respect!

French is an international language. Most of the international organisations and their names were founded by french people and are in french.

That said, if you use Reddit on your phone everything automatically is translated to your preffered language. So if you are not careful, you could think everyone on Reddit speaks Urdu, Arabic or Korean for example.

I'm not saying french isnt an international language. Spoken in parts of NA, a shitload of Africa, and ofcourse france. Spanish is even bigger tho, and I'd tell a spanish person speaking spanish in an international subreddit the same.

Since as we're all pretty aware, almost all of us non-native english speakers at least in europe(and this sub is mainly europeans) get taught english in school. But apart from the natives, french isnt. Hence why most of us europeans know our native language and english. Not our native language and french.

I wasn't hating. Just pointing out that some of us including myself dont know french, and that the post would be more accessible if OP had chosen english. And I fully stand by my compliment considering the built, OP made an amazing piece of art island.

Statistically speaking, the average internet person is more likely to speak Chinese than English. There are 1 500 000 000 speakers in China and plenty more around South East Asia as well. Yet you do not see Chinese speakers making such comments.

French is taught in plenty of schools in Europe and not only in countries that border France.
The EU is slowly but steadily moving to use mainly German, French and Polish as their main languages in the future. Naturally all languages will be supported, but French is steadily making a come back.

You aren't hating, just assuming that most of us are English speakers. French is my second language nowadays, English is my third. I actually prefer conversing in French whenever possible even if French is not my native language.
