First of all, I hope this is the right place to be filing such a request due to how the world has been losing a lot of famous people such as Eric Bauza and Tim Curry.

Basically what I am looking for in particular are moe anime with an innocuous nature to them where the show is a cozy laidback kind of series to see as again I am so hurt by all the news about losing people that I needed a healing touch show.

I've tried Demon Slayer, and what it's about interests me a lot. The problem however is that it feels like no one ever had a conversation with each other, they all just shout the plot at each other, like it's a Zack Snyder movie. It really takes me out of the experience.

Wanna watch some dumpsterfire romance anime where its so bad yet funny/addictive (kinda like domestic girlfriend). Must be kinda new (2010ish), and must have a trainwrecky progression. Aside from domestic girlfriend, the most recent anime that scratcher this itch was ramparts of ice (although not trash, it has a lot of misunderstandings which makes it funny addicting). Cheers

I want fantasy manga that's:

-Completed

-fast paced with no big gaps where it flounder

-under 250 chapters.

-No sexual violence tag

-not in some wierd nicha sub-genre, like slice of life/isekai/in a video game like world etc.

-not something that's out to disturb or disgust, nor is the main point the fanservice. Come on, please stop flooding my responses with these. Can I please get a break from these?

Yes I've read Frieren, looking for something faster paced and completed.

I just finished Shiki and I'm struggling to find my next anime.

My top 2 anime are:

1. Monster
2. Shiki

I loved the psychological depth, morally complex characters, dark atmosphere, slow-burn storytelling, paranoia, and the way both shows make you think about the characters' actions and motivations.

I'm also into gothic aesthetics, vampires, horror, mysteries, intelligent villains, and darker stories with meaningful character development.

I'm looking for something that could genuinely compete with Monster or Shiki for me. Preferably 24+ episodes, or even 50+, with a coherent story rather than something that relies on constant action.

I've already watched Death Note, Evangelion, Perfect Blue, Akira, Hellsing Ultimate, and several other well-known dark anime.

What would you recommend based on these preferences? I'm especially interested in hidden gems and older anime, not just the usual mainstream recommendations.

I tend to enjoy series that are darker in nature, especially if they can really make me feel something. Be that fear, sadness, or just "what the hell am I watching" I just really appreciate when a series is able to evoke strong emotions. I would love some recommendations if that's okay. I'll give anything a try, but a couple of my favourite things in anime tends to be psychological themes, dark or depressing universes and religious imagery. Thank you if you're able to provide any suggestions!

A couple of series I've watched so far:

- Castlevania

- Cyberpunk edgerunners

- Evangelion

- Devilman crybaby

I'm looking for recommendations on good shows with maybe some good action.

I've seen samurai champloo

cowboy bebop

yuyu hakusho

fullmetal alchemist (both)

attack on titan

solo leveling

deathnote

chainsaw man

dragon ball z and super

probably others, but i cant remember.

Anyway, anyone that has a show that's easy to binge, and has a good amount of action in it would be appreciated.

Like the title says, what is a manga, light novel, etc you would like to get an anime adaptation? And can you tell me a little about it? If not that's fine too :)

I have watched all of Bocchi the Rock! and K-ON! season 1 (currently I am in K-ON! season 2), so I am wondering, is there any other gorgeous musical anime just like K-ON! and Bocchi the Rock! which feature good music, fun characters and a cool story? Please suggest down below.

First of all: I havent finishend AoT yet. Im at the Last episodes, so please dont Talk to much about AoTs ending.

AoT is my first anime ever. Ive never watched animes. They just werent my Thing. But AoT always had my interest because of the Titans and the mysterious Flair.

And I have to was it really is a good Show. I didnt quite Like how heavily it turned towards "At the end, everything Bad is because of Humans".

I really liked the First season for establishing such interesting and weird villains. It got even cooler with more Titans but it heavily turned into Humans being the cause.

Altough I have to say you can really See how the maker of AoT really had planned the whole Show in advance and didnt Go from season to season. It really all feels Like a well thought Story.

I will watch the extra episodes of AoT. And I will probably watch AoT again. With everything I now know.

But still: Which Animes are worth to watch which also Go into the mysterious and non-human Like aesthetic of Season 1 AoT? Prefereably on CrunchyRoll.

Extra question: Are the AoT Video Games worth it? Especially AoT3 coming Out in December?

Thank you.

Edit: I guess a part of why I liked AoT so much is because of the setting? If I can call it that. As a German, I really liked the place where it was set. A lot of German names, the architecture was European and so on. Idk of that helps.

So, i have only seen Death Note couple of years ago since everyone told me to give it a go, never seen anything other than Pokemons and Dragon Ball Z as a kid, tho i'm familiar with couple of them.

I need your recommendations on what to watch that is not like 9000 episodes, something i can finish and move on to the next one, doesn't need to be short, just not super long.

I'm M 35y so shoot. I will be here a bit later and will check everything you suggest.

Thanks in advance for your time.

I just finished all seasons of Blue Exorcist. Absolute cinema. I know many don't like it but I enjoyed every second. Now that it's over I kinda feel that void after you watch a series you were very emotionally invested in.

Other than Blue Exorcist, my favourite anime are Steins;Gate, 86, Death Note, Dororo, Devilman Crybaby, Ergo Proxy. I also enjoyed Noragami, Apothecary Diaries, Yatagarasu, Jigokuraku and Tengoku Daimakyou. I am a huge fan of Berserk but mostly of the manga, the anime was just too short.

I like any genre but prefer something along the lines of fantasy, urban fantasy, and sci fi. I mostly care about well-thought out plots and memorable characters.

Please suggest. I'm all ears.

ive only watched 2 animes with a child as one of the main characters, being spy x family and buddy daddies.

are there any other animes with beloved child characters like anya?

I was sitting on the bus in Tokyo today, and in front of me it was a guy streaming an anime (I think he watched it on YouTube). I need to see that episode and serie, I have asked AI but I cannot find it... Can you please help me? Here is the details I know:

Setting: Medieval Europe style (it seems like they lived in a "fancy courtyard"/big white house with a big garden, there was some horse carriages, standard medieval fashion), but drawn in Japanese anime style.

Characters:

• A male character
• A young girl/child with brown animal ears and a brown tail
• A girl in a black and white French maid outfit (think she got dark/brown hair)

- A girl with blond long hair

• A white dog
• Specific Scene: At one point, they pay for something using a card that looks like a modern credit card (like American Express).

It is NOT: The Eminence in Shadow, Chillin' in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers, In Another World with My Smartphone, The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, Farming Life in Another World, Am I Actually the Strongest?

I have discussed at length with other users About the fact that what I am looking for could be cataloged as romantic anime or could not be or could be considered a mix of genres, So please do not focus on the genre but suggest me any anime that fits all my criteria, thank you

1) there must be a love story and it must be important for the plot, moreover such story must possibly be full of strong emotions, not necessarily insanely dramatic but still emotional

2) besides the development of the romantic plot, the series must also show me a bit of the characters' lives and also have some other important thread.

Example: "Touch" (and obviously its sequel "Mix: Meisei Story"), "H2" and "Cross Game" (that is: there is a love story but we also have to win the Koshien), or "Dusk Maiden of Amnesia" (that is: we have romantic tension but you are a ghost and I want to try to understand how you died), or "Legend of Hikari" (that is: there is a love triangle but two of us have to get into the Olympic team and the other has to become a rockstar clashing against the rottenness of the show business world), or "Orange" (that is: you are clearly the man of my life but I just received a letter from my future self telling me that you will come to a bad end and I have to prevent it).

3) it must be set in our world (the supernatural element can also be there, but it is not necessary). I love Fantasy, it's my favorite genre, but I'm looking for something set in our world

4) absolutely no series with episodic plot or strong slice of life elements (Nagatoro, Takagi san, Uzaki chan, Shikimori, etc) or where everything revolves only and exclusively around the development of the characters' emotions with rivers of reflections and inner monologues (Fragrant Flower, for example)

Examples of series I have already seen and that represent what I'm looking for (besides those I have already mentioned): Toradora, Clannad, Blue Box, Maison Ikkoku, Tokimeki Tonight, H2, Love me Knight, Your Name, Weathering with You

Thank you so much for the help you will want to give me 🫂

I’ve been getting a lot of Harry Potter x female Malfoy content on my phone lately and I like the idea / premise of a romance with a tsundere female character but want suggestions

I like anime like Afro Samurai, Berserk, Hellsing Ultimate.

Dark tone, No kids/ teens

Edit: preferably with swords ⚔️

Ty for suggestions

I have watched Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, and loved it, especially the battles, so I do wonder, is there an epic, battle shonen anime that is basically "What if Frieren: Beyond Journey's End was just another epic battle shonen anime"? More like a Frieren-type story, but with a full-on emphasis on action, or like "The Most dangerous threat has been finally defeated, but now an even more dangerous threat has come up and the heroes have been called back" type of story. If there is any, please suggest it down below.

Title: Pitch: Altered Beast (2005) Anime Adaptation Concept - "The Chimera Protocol"

Hey everyone! Since SEGA is currently reviving many of its classic IPs, I’ve been thinking about the 2005 PS2 reboot of Altered Beast. With its dark, sci-fi, bio-horror theme, it has the perfect foundation for a gritty, high-octane anime adaptation.

Here is my concept/pitch for a 6-episode limited series. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Tone & Visual Style

• Genre: Sci-Fi / Bio-Horror / Action / Seinen.Aesthetics: Visually dark and visceral, similar to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Devilman Crybaby. High-energy battles accompanied by heavy industrial rock and metal soundtracks.

The Core Plot

In a near-future setting, a special forces soldier named Luke Caster awakens in the ruins of a destroyed genetic facility. Suffering from amnesia, he discovers his DNA has been fused with the genetic chips of extinct predators and mythical beasts under a clandestine project known as "The Jyuouki Project." To hunt down the rogue organization responsible for his transformation, Luke must master his unstable mutations while fighting monstrous bio-weapons sent to eliminate him.

Episode Guide & Monster Forms

◦ Episode 1: The Wolf WithinPlot: Stripped of his memories, Luke is cornered by heavily armed corporate security. Under intense trauma, his dormant predator DNA triggers for the first time.Transformation: The Werewolf. A savage, close-quarters beast utilizing blinding speed and razor-sharp claws to shred the facility's security forces and escape into the rain-slicked cyberpunk neon city.Episode 2: Deep Blue TerrorPlot: Escaping through the city’s vast subterranean aqueducts, Luke is ambushed by amphibian bio-weapons designed for aquatic hunting, rendering his wolf form useless.Transformation: The Merman. Luke mutates into a terrifying aquatic predator with gills, razor fins, and the ability to fire high-pressure water blasts, resulting in a brutal underwater survival battle.Episode 3: Wings of RetributionPlot: Trapped at the top of a abandoned skyscraper, the organization pins Luke down using heavy gunships and military drones.Transformation: The Dragon. Leaping off the building, Luke morphs mid-air into a soaring, armored mythical dragon, turning the tide by unleashing devastating lightning storms from his jaws to obliterate the aerial fleet.Episode 4: The White TigerPlot: After the aerial crash, Luke lands in a dense forest perimeter. He encounters another rogue mutant who has managed to retain his human consciousness but serves as an assassin.Transformation: The White Tiger. A high-speed, electro-kinetic duel takes place in the woods. Luke defeats his opponent, who, in his dying breaths, respects Luke's strength and reveals the coordinates of the main headquarters.Episode 5: The Unstoppable TitanPlot: Luke arrives at the heavily fortified fortress, guarded by heavy artillery, barricades, and laser grids. Speed and agility won't cut it here.Transformation: The Minotaur/Grizzly. Shifting into a massive, heavily armored stone-and-iron colossus, Luke becomes completely impervious to gunfire and shells, physically ramming through defensive walls and crushing tanks with bare hands.Episode 6: Altered Beast (Season Finale)Plot: Deep within the core laboratory, Luke confronts the mad scientist behind the project, who injects himself with an omni-DNA cocktail to become the "Ultimate Chimera."Transformation: The Golden Werewolf. To match the overwhelming threat, Luke forces all his genetic chips to synchronize, unlocking his final, radiant form. An apocalyptic battle ensues, completely destroying the facility. The series ends with Luke standing amidst the rubble, watching the sunrise—no longer entirely human, but a protector from the shadows.

Bonus points if there's a bit of fan-service but its not my priority, i would rather watch a good isekai than a bad isekai with fan service. (no farming)

-An exemple for commerce: Some times ago i read the manga "Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World" thinking it would just be a bordeline ecchi isekai (the anime is) but its actually a boderline ecchi iskai way deeper than this (in the manga), its mainly about learning culture, commerce, understanding the system and basicly learning how to live in another world without all this "im so Op, lets beat the demon king" stuff and the cherry on top is the BIG fan service if you like that.

-An exempe for a Doctor anime: a good example of a good doctor anime i saw would be the Monster Musume Doctor anime (I know its only boobies isekais but its because most of the other popular isekais are about fighting)

Long story short i loved how "realistic" this manga was and i want to live that again but in an anime, a dude that drop in an isekai with an op power for commerce/treating wounds and do his little life there.

overpowered mother, like Maggot from Isekai Tensei Soudoki

I'm in a mood to see more anime from before 2000, with a vintage feeling. I want things that'll evoke a feeling of nostalgia in me, with their artstyle and music. Here's what I've enjoyed from these decades.
