I have been hearing people say itās better to take ACCT 327 in the fall rather than the spring. Iāve been thinking about adding it to my schedule next semester, can someone explain why fall is better?

Howdy everyone!
I am planning on taking PHYS 222 next semester, and I checked that the only available section for this course next semester is at 8 am with Teizer. I read that this class is very difficult and requires a lot of work but I do not know much about the prof. Can anyone help me out with some advice? How should I prepare for the course? Does the prof teach well, have good reviews, and in general helpful?

This is just a warning to those planning to sign a lease at The Barracks Townhomes, specifically with The Arena Group. During move-in, I completed their inventory condition form, which was simply a sticky note. I noted that that the carpet was somewhat sticky but otherwise the apartment was in good condition. I also documented my own images and videos of the apartment.
During move-out, I complied with all of their cleaning protocols and requests and completed their lengthy condition documentation of the unit. After several months, I received less than $400 back frmo my $1,000 security deposit. Looking at their invoice, they had charged me $400 to replace the carpet in my room, and another $200 for paint-touch up and cleaning charges. Their condition form, however, did not note any issues with the carpet, and in fact marked the carpet as being in "good" condition. Their images also did not reveal any issues with the carpet or paint. In fact, before move-out, we went to the leasing office to confirm the exact paint color we should use to cover up any minor nail holes from paintings, etc. The condition form also did not specify why additional cleaning charges were required, as we had already deep-cleaned the unit ourselves and hired a professional cleaner too.
They released an option to file a dispute if you had any issues with these charges, which of course I did. I referenced various legal codes, including the fact that landlords cannot charge for minor/normal wear-and-tear, and also attached move-in photos, move-out photos, and referenced their own move-out report, explicitly stating that they had never even made the claim that the carpet was in need of being replaced.
They finally replied to the dispute multiple weeks after they claimed they would reply by, noting that the cleaning charges would be refunded (which amounted to less than $50), but that the rest of the charges would be upheld, with no additional reasoning other than several unrelated photos attached to the reply, some of which showed the carpet in good condition as usual.
Several weeks later, I have still not received any refund of the cleaning charge.
If I DID damage the carpet, or anything else, I would be happy to pay for it. But no, I made sure to keep the house in good condition and cleaned on a regular basis.
On another note, they also charge you $30 per month for a "resident benefits" package each month which in reality just gives you access to a pool that is only open a few months each year. They also threatened to evict me for not paying a duplicate water bill on time which I had already paid.
I would love to pursue legal action at this point, but I am a broke college student and I hardly have the time or money for that right now.
Hopefully this helps someone; I am sure others have had a positive experience at the barracks, but it seems like the consensus is more negative than positive at this point.

Im a freshman and I have been on a downward trend with the chem 107 quizzes (I got a 60% today). Idek what to do anymore. Im studying (though with distractions, but still, it shldnt be this bad). When I do practice questions I get most of them right I think, so I dont know why it gets so bad (I feel like I can/should get a 75-80 with the work I put in.) Obv Im doing something wrong, but does anyone have suggestions ? Im already locked into getting a B in engr102 cuz I bombed exam 1 and I still wanna try auto admitting (Aero dreams) so I wanna do the best I can (cuz I need a high ass gpa even if i want holistic anyway)

Howdy yāall! Iām currently living in a dorm for the first time and the amount of bugs Iāve been seeing is ridiculous. A few weeks ago there was a fire ant infestation and now iāve been seeing random bugs appear in the bathroom and main room, few of which have been ants again. I submitted a second Aggieworks order at the start of this week (Last time i submitted one was for the infestation and they dealt with that in about 4-5 days). I eat in my dorm, but I keep the place clean regularly and store all food in sealed containers. Iāve also never seen any of these bugs appear/go close to food sources.
Iām just terribly afraid of bugs and this is genuinely affecting how I feel in my dorm. I feel unsafe and anxious almost all the time, especially when iām alone in my dorm. Itās also been affecting my sleep. I understand that seeing bugs once in a while is normal but I feel like this is getting out of hand. I also live on the highest floor in my dorm so seeing this many bugs is still insane to me.
For people who have dealt with similar issues, do yāall have any advice? Iām genuinely fed up and just want to feel safe in my dorm again.

I went today (it's at the mall) and it was awesome! The food was solid surprisingly and they're doing like an introductory thing where you can play as many games as you want for an entire day for $55 (and one card can be shared among friends) it was super fun and I spent basically the whole day there lol

Spring registration is coming up! If youāre tired of juggling 20+ tabs of anex and Rate My Professors, I built AggieSB+, a free extension that adds one button to College Scheduler and brings everything to you:
It shows up on course sections, Build Schedule, Shopping Cart and Current Schedule. When you install it, a quick 2-minute tour walks you through everything on a practice page.
Iām a student and built this myself, so feedback and feature requests are very welcome. Drop them in the comments.
Thanks & Gig āem! š

Hey y'all. I'm a freshman currently in my first semester at Texas A&M and I am struggling really badly with homesickness. My hometown is about 2 hours away, and up until now, I've been going home almost every single weekend because being here has been so overwhelming.
I'm staying on campus this weekend because I have to, and I feel incredibly isolated.
To make matters worse, I'm dealing with a bad bug problem in my dorm which is making me feel totally unsafe and anxious in my own room. (Yes I keep my dorm as clean as possible and bugs come from places you wouldnāt even expect, and iāve submitted work orders) I also am not a fan of the dining hall food and miss having my own place to cook (dorm kitchen is gross), so my eating habits have been terrible, which is tanking my energy and mood. I know all this might just make me sound like a complainer, but iām someone who tends to get super worried and I have bad anxiety, so everything tends to seem a lot worse than it is to me.
I've been seriously considering transferring to UH for the spring or next fall just to commute from home and be back with my family. I would also be avoiding all the ET@M stress that is eating me away (even though engineering will be difficult no matter where I go). But the thing is, I don't necessarily hate A&M. I actually like my professors, and I've already made a few acquaintances and friends here. Iām also a part of some orgs as well.
Another huge thing holding me back is that I'm terrified of the ridicule or judgment I might face if I leave TAMU. Everyone talks about how amazing it is here and how hard it is to get in, and I'm really scared of people back home or here looking down on me or thinking I couldn't handle it if I choose to transfer to UH.
I feel stuck. I don't know if I should push through, try to fix my dorm/food situation, and give A&M a real chance, or if needing to go home this much is a sign that I should just transfer closer to home.
Has anyone else dealt with severe homesickness or dorm issues freshman year? How did you handle the food and learning to live on your own? Is the Aggie network worth staying for, or did anyone transfer out and find that it was the best decision for their mental health?
Any advice or encouragement would mean a lot right now. Thanks.

Considering dropping FINP 436.
I am a financial planning major with 20hr left in my degree.
My current TAMU GPA is a 3.857, and I'm looking at finishing with a B in FINP 436 (Insurance Planning). I've been considering Q-dropping it and retaking it online next summer, assuming it's offered.
I've mapped out my remaining classes, and assuming I make all A's from here on out, my projected graduation GPA would be:
Both would qualify for Summa Cum Laude, but obviously the 3.95 would give me a little more breathing room if I end up with another B before graduation.
I would like to keep my options open post grad. I plan on applying for airlines in 1-2 years so have no aspiration to be a financial planner. I might consider grad school or anything else that will put more notches on my belt. That is, if i can get some help with university scholarship...
For those who have graduated or been in a similar situation, would you take the B and move on, or Q-drop and retake it for a shot at a higher GPA?

Howdy, Iām currently a junior EE and Iāve honestly lost most of my passion and joy for engineering and donāt know if I wanna continue it in the future. Ik industry is completely different than school but it just doesnāt intrigue me anymore. After some research I decided to look at engineering more broadly and discovered patent law and it seems really interesting to me. Iām trying to get some perspective and honestly advice on if the career is worth it or not? Is it worth jumping straight into it from undergrad? I feel like waiting after a few years will just keep me from ever getting into it.

The vibes are good in Austin after Texas beat Ole Miss on Saturday and earned its second victory against a top-10 team. Winning typically cures all, but that doesnāt change the fact that Manning turned in yet another up-and-down performance.
Saturdayās win was the first in a four-game stretch that also includes games vs. Mississippi State, at No. 23 Missouri and at No. 15 LSU. Just last week, we were all asking about Manningās future. Should he stay at Texas? Where would be the best transfer destination? Is there any chance he could still declare for the NFL Draft?
Manning could turn the corner and close the season strong, as he did last year. But if he doesnāt, his future will be a scorching hot topic in about a month.
Reed produced some real positive moments last season, particularly against Notre Dame and South Carolina, but struggled down the stretch in losses to rival Texas and in the first round of the College Football Playoff against Miami.
He has regressed this season. After throwing 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2025, Reed has thrown eight touchdowns and eight interceptions through eight games in 2026. His completion percentage, yards per attempt and passing efficiency rating are down as well.
Meanwhile, former AggieĀ Conner Weigman is thriving at Houston. Texas A&M coach Mike Elko essentially chose Reed over Weigman ā who has thrown 20 touchdown passes and rushed for six scores this season ā two years ago.
Reed is eligible to return to college in 2027, but it feels as though his time at Texas A&M (4-4, 1-4 SEC) has run its course.
The Golden Bears made retaining Sagapolutele their No. 1 priority last offseason. Thatās what makes how coach Tosh Lupoi has operated over the past few weeks so interesting.
Sagapolutele suffered a concussion against UNLV on Oct. 3 and was cleared to return two weeks later against Wake Forest. But he didnāt play until the second half when the game was out of reach, and Lupoi wouldnāt publicly commit to JKS as his starter. Sagapolutele did start in Calās 59-20 loss at SMU on Saturday after he competed during the week with Jackson Brousseau, who led the program to a win over Virginia Tech two weeks earlier.
Lupoiās first stint as a head coach has been a mess. Heās made a change at play caller, replacing Jordan Somerville with passing game coordinator Pat McCann.
Sagapolutele has not played up to the potential he showed last season, but all of the drama has not helped.
Ever since he debuted last season, thereās been talk of where Sagapolutele would play in the future. That discourse will only get louder in the next month.

I need some alterations made to my suit jacket. Who's recommended that isn't expensive?
