Hello everyone! Just some weeks ago I managed to port Zoo Tycoon 2 into my modern Windows 11 PC, via DAEMON Tools.

The thing is that I can't seem to mod the game, as a message asking me to make for more space keeps popping up. I'm not sure if it's because of DAEMON tools itself, ( since I currently haven't paid for any more advanced functions ), or the fact the game CD files were of the ISO type and it's by default not compatible with mods.

Any advice you could give me, please?

Hello friends! i recently got my PC up and running and man all I want to do is play Zoo Tycoon 2. I understand i can download it from Myabandonware, but I need someone to explain to me like I'm a five year old how to get it to run, I have no idea what mounting a disc image to a virtual drive means. It's like a foreign language lol. I'd really appreciate the help!

I'm trying to figure what else I can mod myself but for now, while the tools / scripts could be better, I'm really looking forward to see what other people can do.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong? It's campaign mode.

So I started playing again some days ago and discovered that while some easter eggs worked, I could not unlock the yellow brick road. I though maybe the game wasnt ok... but now I was playing the second to last scenario (where the map has the ybr) i put the lion-tiger-bear in and... it worked!

Im trying to do it again in a freeform game... no luck. And just to try it I played the scenario game again and now it wont work.

Ive tried puttin all males, getting them in order, etc but nothings doing the trick... does anybody have the same problem?

Ps: I am using a male african lion, bengal tiger and grizzly bear.

UPDATE: It worked now! I closed the game completely, turned it on and tried the trick.

World of Zoo is turning 17 on the 26th!

While not that deep as the Zoo Tycoon series, it's always held a especial place in my heart since I was a kid. And of course, even as an adult I kept wanting to see ALL the animals on PC one day...

...And now they're actually here!

Looking to get more people to see this, try it, and maybe help find any bug that managed to sneak in!

What bridge shall I use for the animals to use to cross the islands for the jungle exhibit? As you can see it's being used.

Has anyone else seen that both Archaeopteryx and Iguanodon have been spelled incorrectly? Would this be fixed before the final release or are these typos set in stone now?

I was gifted my grandpas old laptop and I still have my old copy of zoo tycoon complete collection and some of the mods I want to use are only on zooteks website, I emailed them last night so im not impatient im just wondering if they are still active

PZ2 lets you stack fences, so you can put a glass fence in the same place as a rock fence without replacing it, creating a unique barrier.

Would this be possible to mod into ZT2? Or too complex for the engine?

I recently had to reset my pc, and thus reinstall Zoo Tycoon. When I tried reinstalling the bonus content, though, I just can't get it to work. I've read guides saying that I should place them in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2\downloads\zootycoon_com_zt2_1033, which is what I have done, but it doesn't seem to work either. Any clue as to what's causing this?

I feel like I've tried most everything at this point.

-Making the exhibit 10x10

-limiting how visible they are to guests so they don't feel overwhelmed.

-Did everything to make their habitat suitable for them.

-Only used their favourite trees

-Put a climbing tree in, the jaguars ignored it.

-Used the first one to figure out what they needed, sold him and then adopted two more after - male and female.

No matter what, they're always miserable. I mean, I can't say I blame them, captivity sucks especially if they're just being gawked at. But is there something else I'm missing?

I saw a post with a theme like this someday and decided to make a whole new post. The Rule Explanations from me

- No New Fictional Animals

- The Post would hypothetically explain the Name, Biome, Star Rating, and the Conservation Status of the Animals

- No " Place the Animals we eventually got later in the line-up earlier in the timeline "

- Nothing for Dino Danger; all of its features were later used in EA, so this could potentially cause the disturbance of the first rule

- No Straight Up Flying Animals.

Just a teaser for the upcoming reimplementation of ZT Friends, a lost media game that has been rediscovered (yours truly) in April 2026. This game was shut down by Microsoft in April 2015 for unknown reasons.

I gave the right animals all the toys I could get but this metric doesn't need to move up an inch. I only added most of the enrichment in the last 2 months, so maybe it takes time? The only animal not perfectly visible was the ostrich, which was only visible through the safari ride except for a small part of the enclosure. What should I do to win the "get to 5 stars in a year" challenge? Get rarer animals? Dig out exctinct ones? You start with 20000 cash and a few animals, and I could pump up all the metrics except the species diversity and entertaining animals.
