I’m sorry but Kearsarge might be my favorite ship in the game. I love it. I consistently do pretty decent for me in it, which is good because I suck, and then I love the history behind the design and the name.

However I think it’s one of the ugliest hybrids in the game, and so I keep playing the other ones in hopes they will finally just click and feel good so I can play one that isn’t as ugly, but none of them do it. They just don’t feel as good to play.

So what about Kearsarge is so different that makes it feel so much better?

Its been my 'favorite'(most wanted) ship since I first seen it play a couple years back and I finally had enough dubloons with my supercontainers (and holiday convoy) this fall. Was really hoping to add it to my port this year but its cash only? Why is a years old ship that most people dont seem to care about cash only?

Is it just me or has anyone else's priority cargo updated back to the exact same 3 ships that were offered the first time?

Honestly I don’t know what am I expecting out of WEE GEE at this point. Is it just me that keeps running into bugs like these? (Each photo are more than 8 hours apart)

Hello everyone! So since a while now, here and there, I see people in the chat, sometimes right at the beginning of a match writing : player X or Y is a noob because he has WR of what ever %.

And I have observed, that these people then will not support that "noob".

I know there is a program or something which show you player stats etc, but I am really wondering, why is that even important in random games? I did check my own stats, and I have 57% WR. And I don't see me as a pro or sometimes I don't even think I am doin everything with skill... Sometimes just luck. So does that WR actually say something about a players skill?? I mean I guess I won many games not because I was so good, but because my team was just the better one..

As the post says. I've pretty much given up on randoms. No more subs. Still gotta deal with CVs and planes but they aren't nearly as bad.

And frankly it's more fun and relaxing to play.

And at this point can we get a dozen more or so operations.

i got the ship and i missed 2 days. Man....i really hate that game. Never really know how it works.

I really hope to stop playing it. Not sure if there will be other rewards or stuff in later update.

I've been playing since 2016 and every time I have a big break it's because I lose the ability to enjoy the game as a result of carriers.

Why do WG refuse to listen to the player base about how disgustingly unbalanced that class has become and how it pushes people out of the game? And then continue to nerf everything else and buff them further.

No one likes a class you cannot counter. The recent removal of Def AA was just the icing on the cake. Everyone knew it was a Nerf to surface ships. Again. CV gameplay used to be at least respectable in RTS days even though it was horrible to be cross dropped because you could be deplaned and it required skill.

But now, it doesn't even require a single brain cell. It's infuriating to sit there being focused, with team mates around you and just get spotted for eternity and die to the enemy, while your AA shoots fluffy tennis balls at the planes.

I just played a game in Mogami... Against a tier 6 ryujo. All he did was permaspot me the entire time, wait for that stupid new excuse of a def aa mechanic to expire and then drop me when it ran out. I had a fighter up, used the now non-selectable priority sector, wasd'd my way against his drops. Didn't matter. He was getting at least 2 drops off every single time before his planes died.

I really don't know what to say anymore. It's completely indefensible. I don't hate people for playing carriers, they are just playing the game. But what people fail to understand is that it's infinitely more infuriating when you die to a mechanic that you are absolutely powerless against. Any other class I can sit there and go okay I messed up or you played well, nice one. Yes even subs to an extent.

But this carrier gameplay isn't okay. It's just beyond a joke at this point. I don't think the games in a very good state, and it just blows my mind how WG seem to listen to the CV players themselves rather than anyone playing surface ships.

"Just leave then!??" All the people say. I might have to, which is a shame because I want to love this game like I used to.

Please do comment and enlighten me if you disagree and have a genuine argument against this because I can't see how even CV players can enjoy this anymore. There's not even any challenge for them playing it.

I would love to see a graph that showed the reasons for players leaving the game permanently over the years if a survey was done. I bet how carriers have changed over time would be high up in the list.

In that game I was an NPC, against a carrier two tiers lower than me, that I could do absolutely nothing about. If that isn't a broken system I don't know what is.

So I watched the video ARMORY TIERLIST X | G4ngB4r3ng special - YouTube and decided to make a list for myself because there is no way I will be going back to it every time I make a decision on a new purchase. I have also made one extra table that combines the two from G4ng. I thought I could share them here if you are also interested in G4ng's take but the length of the video and the lack of names or timestamps put you off.

It's important to note that G4ng admits he is a DD main so he is biased in terms of their gameplay, but it's fair to say that DDs have the greatest impact on the battle.

Normally, I (in Sydney) get a stable ~110 ping to the WoWs NA servers hosted in Virginia.

Recently (past few days, probably longer) my ping has been fluctuating wildly from ~180 to ~700+.

I have fiber to the home (FTTP) with Telstra and normally the service is flawless (e.g. I have stable ~5 ping to the local Battlefield 6 servers)

Are there other Australian players having similar problems?

I connected via NordVPN to San Francisco which gave me a more stable ping of ~180-220+, still not great, and would indicate the problem lies in Australian routes.

My traceroute (below) (without NordVPN) is strange, if I am interpreting it correctly. The route seems to go to Perth before bouncing back to Sydney and then out to Hong Kong.

None of the currently available tier 10's really light my fire, but looking at the tier 9's I have available - Tromp, Groningen, Azuma,Tulsa, Carnot, oh and the Z-44. I'm an Okay gunboat dd player, and can do fair in torp boats. I prefer Cruisers, both light heavy, but I'll play my BB's too. I'm thinking Halford, Azuma, or Carnot.. what are your thoughts on these ships?

Ive seen some cruiers beeing called breakfast cruisers, it does not make any sense to me, why are they breakfast?

Hey guys, I’m pretty new to World of Warships and have been playing Cachalot lately. I’d say I’m doing pretty decent in Operations so far, getting 7 kills in each of my last 3 Ops.

I’m still learning the game, so I’d appreciate any general tips that could help me improve. Things like positioning, aiming, reading the map, choosing ships, or just getting better at the game in general.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
