Question In your Opinion, which of these three Super Carrier has a best appearance alone?
Which is it? The United States, Eagle, or the Sekiryu?

As the post says. I've pretty much given up on randoms. No more subs. Still gotta deal with CVs and planes but they aren't nearly as bad.
And frankly it's more fun and relaxing to play.
And at this point can we get a dozen more or so operations.
Some naval bombardment missions like Omaha beach or the battle of Jutland or Surigao straight?

I've been playing since 2016 and every time I have a big break it's because I lose the ability to enjoy the game as a result of carriers.
Why do WG refuse to listen to the player base about how disgustingly unbalanced that class has become and how it pushes people out of the game? And then continue to nerf everything else and buff them further.
No one likes a class you cannot counter. The recent removal of Def AA was just the icing on the cake. Everyone knew it was a Nerf to surface ships. Again. CV gameplay used to be at least respectable in RTS days even though it was horrible to be cross dropped because you could be deplaned and it required skill.
But now, it doesn't even require a single brain cell. It's infuriating to sit there being focused, with team mates around you and just get spotted for eternity and die to the enemy, while your AA shoots fluffy tennis balls at the planes.
I just played a game in Mogami... Against a tier 6 ryujo. All he did was permaspot me the entire time, wait for that stupid new excuse of a def aa mechanic to expire and then drop me when it ran out. I had a fighter up, used the now non-selectable priority sector, wasd'd my way against his drops. Didn't matter. He was getting at least 2 drops off every single time before his planes died.
I really don't know what to say anymore. It's completely indefensible. I don't hate people for playing carriers, they are just playing the game. But what people fail to understand is that it's infinitely more infuriating when you die to a mechanic that you are absolutely powerless against. Any other class I can sit there and go okay I messed up or you played well, nice one. Yes even subs to an extent.
But this carrier gameplay isn't okay. It's just beyond a joke at this point. I don't think the games in a very good state, and it just blows my mind how WG seem to listen to the CV players themselves rather than anyone playing surface ships.
"Just leave then!??" All the people say. I might have to, which is a shame because I want to love this game like I used to.
Please do comment and enlighten me if you disagree and have a genuine argument against this because I can't see how even CV players can enjoy this anymore. There's not even any challenge for them playing it.
I would love to see a graph that showed the reasons for players leaving the game permanently over the years if a survey was done. I bet how carriers have changed over time would be high up in the list.
In that game I was an NPC, against a carrier two tiers lower than me, that I could do absolutely nothing about. If that isn't a broken system I don't know what is.

I really hope to stop playing it. Not sure if there will be other rewards or stuff in later update.

Hello everyone! So since a while now, here and there, I see people in the chat, sometimes right at the beginning of a match writing : player X or Y is a noob because he has WR of what ever %.
And I have observed, that these people then will not support that "noob".
I know there is a program or something which show you player stats etc, but I am really wondering, why is that even important in random games? I did check my own stats, and I have 57% WR. And I don't see me as a pro or sometimes I don't even think I am doin everything with skill... Sometimes just luck. So does that WR actually say something about a players skill?? I mean I guess I won many games not because I was so good, but because my team was just the better one..

So I watched the video ARMORY TIERLIST X | G4ngB4r3ng special - YouTube and decided to make a list for myself because there is no way I will be going back to it every time I make a decision on a new purchase. I have also made one extra table that combines the two from G4ng. I thought I could share them here if you are also interested in G4ng's take but the length of the video and the lack of names or timestamps put you off.
It's important to note that G4ng admits he is a DD main so he is biased in terms of their gameplay, but it's fair to say that DDs have the greatest impact on the battle.

None of the currently available tier 10's really light my fire, but looking at the tier 9's I have available - Tromp, Groningen, Azuma,Tulsa, Carnot, oh and the Z-44. I'm an Okay gunboat dd player, and can do fair in torp boats. I prefer Cruisers, both light heavy, but I'll play my BB's too. I'm thinking Halford, Azuma, or Carnot.. what are your thoughts on these ships?

Hey guys, I’m pretty new to World of Warships and have been playing Cachalot lately. I’d say I’m doing pretty decent in Operations so far, getting 7 kills in each of my last 3 Ops.
I’m still learning the game, so I’d appreciate any general tips that could help me improve. Things like positioning, aiming, reading the map, choosing ships, or just getting better at the game in general.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
PS:i have USS Colorado too

In her voicelines, when you are hit, she says something that sounds like "hull vacsitized/vaxitized"? What is the second word? I have tried google and AI with no luck. It has been driving me crazy.

I probably should have reversed and instantly used dcp but I panicked. But the fact that this is possible is completely crazy. Very fair and balanced game design. Three minutes into the game btw.
A minute and a half later the sub is behind our DDs and nukes Marseille, because subs are allowed to pull this shit off for free.

This is the front page of mine. Big up for the Twitch streamer Clydeplays (I got the suggestion from one of his streams) because over the last year or so this has made working out what I might want to play so much easier, especially when min-maxing mission chains for things like Dockyards. Any ship line that you can't see here is already at T10 BTW, and a year ago this thing was over twice as long.
I update the ship's entry after each game (I tend to play any given ship only once or twice per session to maximise the first win bonuses), and the general economics of credits/FXP/ECXP at the end of a session. There's some bits out of shot on this grab that are things like an overview of my Economics boosters (updated weekly if it's lucky) and a tracker for the next Salvage for Victory.

If you're in a destroyer, these subs can just disrespect you and surface spot you while you spot them back, and you can't do anything about it because your depth charges are stuck to your ship and when you try to shoot them, they have obscenely small hitboxes, they all have 3 second rudders with sub-500 meter turning circles, and some of them also go 40 knots
If you're a privileged class like a battleship then your shells get a big explosion radius to hit the sub for some reason even if you miss, but if you're a destroyer then your radius to hit them is extremely small, not to mention because subs can just dive in 10 seconds no matter where they are, alpha strike matters way more than DPM against them, which really screws over these destroyers and light cruisers even more
For some reason the subs just don't take the full damage from your shells, it feels like you have to hit twice as many shells to sink a sub than a destroyer with the same HP which is really fucking stupid, and that's not to mention it's really weird how a lot of these very small submarines have more HP than same tier destroyers that are clearly much larger, but fuck you I guess
This isn't just a "subs are OP" post, if the sub gets spotted around the enemy team the sub will get dropped by 50 depth charges and often dies, my problem is that against a destroyer without a team and no airstrike ASW, the sub can just disrespect you and surface spot you and spam pings at you and you can't do anything about it, I'm fine with destroyers not getting airstrike ASW, but their ship ASW should have the bigger splash radius since you can presumably carry larger charges on a ship compared to an airplane, and they shouldn't have absurd saturation when shot at by ships with small caliber guns because I think subs should take damage from that sort of thing
Honestly I think the subs can have their shotgunning back specifically for their non homing torps, that was never the issue and it mostly affected a class that was disproportionately resistant to BS mechanics anyway, and also the torpedoes should home in at the same rate regardless of the ship's class, sure destroyers are more maneuverable but they're also more likely to be in the front where subs can get them and they have low HP and torpedo protection, I think it's fair that they would be harder for a sub to hit compared to a battleship that's often too far in the back to target and even then has way more HP and healing if it does get hit

Title essentially. Currently playing CV / Essex mainly. have a winrate of 56% over about 250 games. im fairly happy with it, but looking at wownumbers a lot of player obviously dwarf that.
What do you all consider a strong winrate for solo play?
