Any gunsmiths in the King County area that come recommended? The guy I normally go to moved out of state and I'd like to cut an AR-10 handguard to swap my gas block for a riflespeed.

I am relatively new to shooting and want to become a better marksman. Especially long range rifle shooting (I have a .270) for big game hunting. I have a pretty good understanding of safety and firearm mechanics, but I want to become proficient in basic marksmanship.

Is there anyone in the Tacoma/Olympia area that does rifle and pistol marskmanship classes for beginner/intermediate shooters?

This is a future looking question: If I drive to Idaho to get a long gun that is not banned in Washington, will the clerks there deny me because of the permit?

How will that work?

If the permit is over one hundred anyway, maybe spending that on gas is worth it.

This 22WMR pistol holds more than 10 rounds in the mag so I probably can’t buy it right? Or since it’s 22 it’s ok?

I’m moving up to Washington on active duty military orders and I’m having a hard time finding black and white instructions on if I can purchase a handgun with my out of state ID. I have seen that if I have my orders and my military ID I am good to purchase but I was just wanting some more clarification if anyone could provide it

Dumb question, but when the PTP goes into effect May 1, is your waiver of your privacy of medical records permanent, or only until they issue the permit?

I loved building guns out and it was a huge hobby of mine not just ARs but hand guns too like upgrading stock firearms with after market parts down to stripping them 100% and polishing/ upgrading them and shooting, lots and lots of shooting but this states killed the damn hobby for me.

I have so many safe queens now just from not me not going hard into the hobby anymore. I don't shoot like I used to and I'm not even looking to buy firearms I'm missing like I did mags. The funs just gone. At least I have money for other hobbies.....

Sorry for the depression post it just sucks but feels like diminishing returns the way we are going. I'm still vocal on fighting it but damn.... I'm sure this is the goal of the rich owned fake grassroots orgs that pushed the antigun campaigns. A whole sport being wiped out. Recent acquisitions are a Ruger Super Wrangler, Henry H1 lever rifle in 22lr, Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol (needed a good tactical semi auto shotgun).

I understand we don’t know much about what the upcoming permit to purchase classes will look like. Will there be anything stopping me from showing up in full revolutionary militia regalia and taking the class with my Kentucky rifle? I can be ridiculous and my pettiness knows no bounds.

It was probably a year or so ago and there were a handful that were right on the fence. Dissent I think was one, Foxtrot Mike or as something was another. I feel like 'there were a couple more.

Did any of those rifles end up panning out and actually being transferrable? and any good?

Hey guys, I know this has been picked through quite a few times here before, but I’m wondering on the legality of keeping parts stocked for mags I already own.

I’ve owned the magazines I have for ~15 years now. So I don’t really understand if this is even something I’m worried about.

I’ve wanted to have spare parts in stock in the case of manufacturing going haywire or god knows what else, but not aiming to get in anyone’s crosshairs just from having them shipped here.

Going to start this process and wondering if anyone has done it as a WA resident. Will make some calls tomorrow but thought I'd ask.

Anyone know of a smith in and around south sound (Oly, Tacoma, etc) that does a good job with threading a 10/22 for a suppressor? After years of not spending money on guns, I'm considering dipping a toe into suppressors, and have no idea where to start. Alternatively, would anyone recommend buying a pre-threaded barrel instead? Total suppressor newb here.

Can anybody recommend something really good like that or has anybody made their own that they can send me thanks everyone.

Question. I inherited the remains of a Sears model 1 break action. It has no stock or grip and is just a reciever. There is no serial anywhere on the gun or anything marking it as a "shotgun", this was bought over the counter by my father in law in the waaaaaay back. Since this isn't registered as a shotgun and as far as I know it never had a stock, could I form 1 this as an AOW? Technically checks all the boxes right?
