DoreScore

Hey everyone! I’m a Vandy student and got tired of Brightspace showing me a list of scores but never my actual grade, especially in classes where homework, quizzes and exams are all weighted differently and the lowest quiz gets dropped.

So I built DoreScore, a free Chrome extension. It reads your grades from Brightspace and:
•    works out your real grade in each class using that class’s syllabus weights (dropped scores included)
•    tells you what you need on the final or remaining work for an A, B+, etc.
•    shows how much each assignment is actually worth and your projected GPA

A bunch of big classes are already set up (CHEM 1601, MATH 1300/2300, ECON 1500 and more). If yours isn’t, it can read the syllabus for you, and you check the grading rules before they’re saved.

Privacy, since I know people will ask: your grades stay on your laptop. There’s no account, and I never see your grades or password. The only thing that can leave your computer is a syllabus, and only if you use the AI reading (you can set it to read on your device instead). The full privacy page is on the site.

It’s an independent project, not affiliated with Vanderbilt. Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc on a laptop.

About 90 people are using it so far. I’d love feedback, bug reports, or requests for which classes to add next. And if you have a syllabus for a big class, sending it in helps everyone in that class.
