Financials How expensive is UT, and is worth it?
Hi y'all! The question in the post is what I'm asking. I'm an autoaccept with a non-competitive major, so I am waiting to hear back. UT is one of my top schools (other than maybe Rice or any other prestigious school), but it is the most appealing to me because I know I will get in. I applied as a history major, but I might change it to government or sociology (I want to go to law school). I don't qualify for financial aid, but my family is NOT rich enough to pay for that. In good news, i've completed two years of college at cc as a dual credit student, and about 40 out of 60 will transfer. I want to attend; the academics are great, the community, culture, and campus, and a study abroad program. I applied for all the UT-specific scholarships along with a few others. Still it probably won't pay for everything... so I need to know if the debt is worth it. Or should I go to Texas AM and stay cheap?
