This is quite literal to the flair, I’m in the Davenport bathroom fighting for my life, absolutely destroying the toilet, and the girl in the next stall is crying. Hope you’re doing better cuz my stomach is not 😭😭😭

What are these November 3rd midterms I keep hearing about? I checked my schedule and I don't see any exams scheduled for that date.

Slightly overproofed, I think. The crust turned out really well though. Maybe soon I will find the wherewithal to start making levain breads.
Also I remembered to edit the title this week yay

I assume these places no longer exist, but for anybody around about a decade ago:
Cheers to Brothers, the bar up 25 narrow stairs getting underage kids absolutely trashed on long island iced teas, before they had to descend those same 25 stairs back down onto Green Street to go back to the frat houses and smoke.
And cheers to Second Story Pizza, up 30 even narrower stairs, where everybody stood next to 600 degree ovens cooking (delicious?) pizza before pushing and shoving to get back down those same narrow stairs, this time delicately holding pizza on paper plates trying to not drop it.
Any 2012-2015 ish grads hit me up and we can reminisce about other things too!

Hi! I'm an exchange student coming next spring, and I am having trouble setting up my illinois email in Outlook.
Whenever I try to log in with my password, I get a page that says:
[ Use the following link to open this mailbox with the best performance: https://webmail.illinois.edu/owa/"my email account" ]
If I click the link, it just leads me to the same page, over and over again.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Any help would be appreciated!

It’s easy to change when what you’re doing isn’t working, but what Illinois was doing was definitely working. Last season, the Illini scored 1.25 points per possession. Ken Pomeroy has the oldest database in college basketball for tracking scoring on a per-possession basis; it goes back to the 1996-97 season, and the Illini’s points per possession was the highest in that time. Because modern basketball has embraced the 3-point shot, it has produced the most efficient offenses. So it’s pretty safe to say that the most efficient offense ever was the Illini’s last year, and that offense propelled the program to its first Final Four since 2005.
Illinois finished possessions with a pick-and-roll nearly 40 percent of the time, per Synergy’s tracking. The Illini returned five of their eight leading scorers and, ranked No. 3 in the preseason AP Top 25, are on the short list of national title contenders.
So when Tyler Underwood brought the possibility of scrapping last year’s offense and trying something totally different to his father, head coach Brad Underwood…
“I’m always skeptical,” Underwood says. “I think head coaches have to be.”
Brad Underwood has never been hesitant to change. Defensively, he’s evolved as much as any coach in the country. So for his 40th year as a coach, he decided to embrace what is essentially a hands-off approach once the ball is tossed in the air.

I moved out of Orchard Downs on early October, but I’m still required to pay rent until July 2027 unless University Housing finds a new tenant.
The frustrating part is that I can’t find a replacement myself. Housing controls the entire reassignment process, even though I know people who are on the waitlist.
It’s been over two weeks, and Housing says they have no updates or estimated timeline.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there any way to speed up the process or avoid paying rent indefinitely while the unit sits empty?
Any advice would be appreciated!

Any one know what the extra credit opportunities are and how many points they are worth? Asking just in case since the syllabus says u can only get like 20 something points of in total or end with an A.

I made CanvasGradesPro a while ago because I got tired of calculating my grades manually. Some of my courses didn't have assignment weights set up in Canvas, and others hid the overall grade entirely, so it was hard to tell where I stood.
It works with Canvas at all universities (to my knowledge), so I thought I'd share it here.
The extension adds a few things to Canvas:
If you run into any bugs or have suggestions, let me know!

Question for people who have taken CHEM 104 with Dr. Ray. Does anyone know if he curves at the end of the semester? If so, how much?
I genuinely like him but been struggling a little bit with some of the exams lately. Just curious if I should withdraw from the course or try to bank on a good curve.

I'm a freshman with junior standing and I want to take classes next semester that don't have many seats. The prerequisites are at most the honors session of MATH 314; I'm currently taking the regular session but my professor said he would vouch for me to override the honors-prerequisite. I was looking at the override permission form and it looks like it can take a while after initial registration to be approved. Based on my classes, what are the chances I'll actually be able to register for them?
Here are the classes (I'm not taking all of these at the same time, I just have backups in case I don't get the classes I want):
416H: Honors Abstract Linear Algebra
424: Honors Real Analysis
441: Differential Equations
453: Number Theory
461: Probability Theory
