I got this postcard in the mail but don't know who it could be from. I don't know anyone who has been to Seattle recently & I am a little worried as whoever mailed it obviously has my address. Context, 'tatting' is the name of a craft I do.
This is what I can make out:
Hello from Seattle! (IL?) (I forgot to send this in Seattle) I am now a citizen of Seattle! I speak in Seattlese and eat oysters everyday. I had coffee! I only had a carryon and didnt have the room to bring any back to you but I wanted to! I hope you. are doing well and tatting it up! I miss you Everyday I [care?] for you. -- Bejen? Bifen?
I would really appreciate help figuring out the name! Thank you!

Hi all, me and a classmate in a SLIS program have been doing a close reading of this rare book, “The Gardener’s Labyrinth," and there is a lot of handwriting in the margins. We were particularly drawn to a note on the back of one of the pages, but have had trouble deciphering any meaningful amount of the text (and have been unable to find an online transcription thus far). Here is the page. Does anyone here have tips for deciphering such writing, online tools we could use, or would otherwise be open to aiding us in its transcription? It was first printed in the 16th century in London, if that helps.

I recently came across a family tree my great-grandfather had created of his predecessors. He likely created somewhere between the early 1900s to late 1950s. But as you can see the handwriting is hard to interpret. It's either written in shahmukhi script (punjabi) or urdu script. We're based in Pakistan Punjab. But if someone understands Arabic, that'll also help since some names are Islamic (like how Muhammad is written. the only one I can clearly interpret 🥲)
If anyone of you can interpret even a slight part of this tree, we would be very grateful. Thank you!

I recently thrifted this bag with an embroidered cat design coupled with an unintelligible (to me, and to every text recognition tool I've tried) text. Can you help me make sense of it? The bag was bought in a thrift store in Finland. There is no brand/material label inside.
Image search returns results pointing at a pretty popular design called "Matilda" or "Matilda-san" by the Japanese brand Kusuguru. However, in practically every result I've found on the internet, the text clearly reads "MATILDA", usually in upper case. I would like to find out whether mine is off-brand, some limited edition, or even a custom/handmade design.

You can label the images 1, 2, 3. The 4th image is presented to show that the 1st image is not the character eth.
I know pi and sigma but I’m not sure what the squiggly line in image 3 is (maybe Latin esh?) Also in image 3, the cross looks like a cross fouchée? And the N may be lowercase kappa? But I’m unsure.
In image 2 I don’t know what the combined top and bottom parenthesis is.

I have a Dutch watercolour painting and have taken it to a few art dealers and auctioneers and no one can find this artist in all the databases. I’ve been told this is “S.A. van Doort” but I think it’s a different name. Perhaps the first word could even be the title of the painting?

Along the bottom of this satirical watercolour is a very faded title, caption, signature and/or date. I think I can make out around half of it: "A quoi penses-tu?" but I am completely stuck regarding the rest. Can any of you make it out?
