Since there is this thing of what do you hate about a character, I’m doing what do you love about a character!

The title says it all, but I'm going to be as kind as I can. I stuck with this show for six seasons and watched some clips of Season 7. Mostly for the sexy Aaravos pin up calendar moment.

But that aside. I feel this deep depression regarding it, and seeing everything and everyone trying to support it.

No, I'll be honest too, the creators don't deserve my support anymore, they had seven seasons, they knew the Netflix limit and could tell a cohesive story in that time.

They didn't.

They wasted too much time on stupid jokes when they could have been building the characters and improving everything. Then after they fuck up everything, they beg for money because Netflix gave up on them? That's a sign my friends.

That the creators/writers are incompetent. They are likely given a hard limit and the information on the number of episodes they can do.

THEY HAVE THAT INFORMATION.

So, it's on their competency levels to make decisions and know what parts of the lore and script to limit and keep quick.

Yet, they spent time on stupid jokes and moments when they were likely given hard limits.

As an author myself, I understand restrictions and pushing yourself, but really, if you're given a limit/deadline/restriction you need to follow it.

They are incompetent and made poor decisions.

What do you hate about him?

What would happen?

Season 5 already??!!

Season 5 next!!

What do you think would happen?

✨the drama king✨

Create new memes NOW! make it super edgy too!

Light shone through a gap in the ceiling as the shapeshifter lounged lazily on his throne of boulders.

“Patience is weakness.” His voice echoed harshly through the cave. “It's nothing but self-denial, masquerading as virtue.” He continued, anger seeping into his words as he leaned forward. “Aaravos is a fool.”

Oh really? Claudia sucked her teeth and took a step back.

“Go on, walk away from me!” Devorans said. “I don't care—I've done nothing but speak my truth. How dare you punish me for that?!” He smacked his fists against his legs, scoffing before leaning back again. “You mistreat me.”

Claudia tipped her head to the side and turned around. Devorans suddenly jumped to his feet.

Shocker.

“Wait! Please. I-I've gone too far again. I know. I am sorry. My tongue is a dagger. I must not let it lash in the presence of my beloved.” He started moving towards her across the cave. “Please, darling. So much anger rages within me. But it's not for you.”

Despite hating it, a shiver ran through her body at his words and she paused.

“It's the usurper, the thief of my honour and my title. It's him whom I hate.” Devorans wrung his hands. “But you know the truth. You know who I am.”

Bold suggestion.

“I am Luna Devorans, archdragon of the moon, the rightful heir. I am the Dragon King.” He enunciated each word, his wings splaying out. “But as I am the moon, you are my sun.” Devorans dropped to the floor. “Without your light, I am nothing. I am darkness. I am lost.”

Pushing it now. Claudia ran a thumb over her staff, keeping quiet.

He reached towards her. “I am begging you. Look at me. Let your love shine upon me, and I shall be full…!”

Chains suddenly grasped Luna Devorans by the neck, yanking him back into the darkness of his cage and forcing him to crawl upwards.

“Please, please—break this cruel silence!”

She turned towards the exit.

“Tell me who you want me to be!” Devorans got onto his knees. “Your lover? Your king?” He bowed down. “Your slave?”

“...All three.” Claudia smirked, her eyes barely giving him a second glance as she left.

This is a draft, trying to fit it in with the ongoing fanfic I am writing is really hard because we have no plot!!!

Ok, So I am assuming most of us have seen the trailer and It is my guess that based on the way the characters are behaving, they both want something.

Luna Devorans wants to be the Dragon King, believes he is the rightful ruler, and maybe he needs an heir to get into a better place for that? As has happened in Earth history, when there is a fight over who should be ruler, whoever has an heir has an advantage. Maybe he is using Claudia for that.

And then Claudia, he said, "What do you want me to be? Your king? Your lover? Your slave?" And she responded with "All three." I don't know exactly what she wants from him, and I really hope I see more people come up with an idea because I really want to add it into my fanfic, and I have no idea what to do. 😂

Any Ideas?

It’s one of the scenes I’m looking forward to the most, I wanna see if they invert/corrupt the Star Nexus in preparation for Aaravos’s arrival or if she takes a staff from them and the blood Visions.

I also wonder if Claudia will work with or free Kim Dael, since she and Luna might have ties especially if they both did blood moon magic. I wonder if she’ll return to the moon Nexus again since she kept the moon staff or if she’ll just make due with the first since I’m pretty sure based in the hidden communities and the blood shrine being there that the moonshadow forest is the place with the 2nd most moon energy (it makes since why the Moonshadow eleves migrated there) and she could definitely hide easily similar to Rayla’s Silvergrove. We know based on Lunanje there are other communities in there too.

It’d be cool if they foiled Rayla with Kim as the story continued, maybe she’ll have to make a difficult choice and use blood moon magic at some point.

Love to hear y’all’s opinions and I apologize for grammatical errors

The whole Dragon Prince in a nutshell

What do you hate about him?

Alright, hear me out.

We know three things:

1. Aaravos says he'll return in exactly 7 years and 19 days.
2. Sarai II is born on that exact day.
3. Startouch Elves aren't ordinary physical beings. They manifest mortal vessels when their stars align with Xadia.

What if humans and elves can't actually reproduce naturally? How many natural elf-human hybrids have we been presented with in the series?

Imagine Callum and Rayla spending years trying to have a child, but Rayla just can't get pregnant.

Then, miraculously, she does.

Except the baby isn't theirs. And this is why it took 7 years and 19 days.

Aaravos magically creates a vessel inside Rayla's womb, giving it a mixture of human and Moonshadow Elf characteristics so that they believe it's their biological daughter.

Callum and Rayla would love, protect and raise their greatest enemy without ever suspecting a thing.

What do you think?

Alright, so the Luna Devorans trailer dropped. I’m here for it, and here to break it down and analyze it.

We finally get to see Luna brought to life, and it was…something.

What new and exciting details did we learn about The Dragon King in this trailer? Plotwise…not much. We already knew that Luna wanted the throne based on his character synopsis posted last year, and we all knew he and Claudia were gonna have some sort of alliance or relationship. So not much to talk about there.

But we do get a much better picture of what kind of character Luna is. What can we tell based on this scene?

First, Claudia and Luna Devorans already know each other. He calls her darling, and his beloved. Clearly, they have an existing dynamic at this point. So, when Luna tells Claudia that she knows who he is, that he is Luna Devorans, there is zero real reason for him to announce himself this way. Dude, she knows. Of course, these words are not meant for Claudia, they are meant for the audience.

This is Luna’s big introduction as a new character. Announcing himself like this to someone he already knows is almost self-aware fourth wall breaking. I’m wondering if this is an intentional  meta element at work in this scene.

Staging the scene this way makes the whole thing feel like an actor chewing the scenery. It feels like a performance. A show within a show. Luna is exaggerated in the way that an actor in a stage-play is exaggerated. I wonder if this staging is purposeful to stress the themes behind the character. Is Luna putting on a show, or is he being truthful?

In the previous Silver Queen trailer, the theme of truth vs illusion was central. Throughout the series, self-truth has been a defining struggle across most of the character’s arcs, so I expect that to still be at work here.

So, what is Luna’s truth? Who is he really? We know that he is a shapeshifter. We can see that Luna is theatrical. It feels like he is performing a role. His language is flowery, his motions draw attention, he’s flamboyant, and frankly a bit over-the-top. Seems like a natural thespian to me.

One line caught my attention, when Luna says:

“But as I am the moon, you are my sun. Without your light, I am nothing. I am darkness.”

Given the theatrical elements at work, and that we have the sun and moon at play here, it reminded me of this bit from Romeo and Juliet:

But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks?

It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,

Who is already sick and pale with grief,

That thou, her maid, art far more fair than she.

Two star-crossed lovers from warring families? Sounds a bit like a Dark Mage getting involved with a Dragon King to me. Romeo is a fiery guy, much like Luna seems to be. I would not be surprised at all to learn that Romeo’s soliloquy was the inspiration behind this part of Luna’s monologue.

In the final season of the Dragon Prince, there was a direct reference to another Shakespeare work (Hamlet) in the promotional material, and if you ask me, Hamlet was very much in the blood of the Aaravos/Claudia plot. Going back to the Bard for notes gets a thumbs up from me.

So, with that idea of performance in mind, we come to the closing lines:

“Tell me who you want me to be! Your lover? Your king? Your slave?”

“All three.”

Occupying all three of those roles at once seems contradictory. The difference between these roles is the power dynamic between the parties involved. A King has more power than his subjects, lovers (if in a healthy relationship) share power, and a slave has no power over their master.

So, what is Claudia asking of him really? With the lens of performance in mind, I think she’s asking him to assume whatever role the situation calls for. To play the part to achieve their aims.

But do they really have the same aims? It’s difficult to say anything with certainty about Luna. He seems sincere in his desire for the throne, but is anything he is telling Claudia true? Does he really care about her?

Throughout the series, the men in Claudia’s life have manipulated her. First Viren and then Aaravos. Heck, even Terry went along with manipulating her when truth would have mattered more than ever before.

Let’s take that throughline and examine Luna’s words. If we look beyond the flowery language and the passion in his voice, what is Luna’s message? He’s telling Claudia that whatever he did is not because of her. He’s asking her to look beyond it and forgive him because she knows who he really is. If he is indeed a manipulator, he’s basically saying:

“I didn’t mean to hurt you! You know I’m not like that, baby! I love you! Please take me back!”

He’s even getting heated as he tries to apologize. Red flag, girl. To me, it comes off as a very cringe faux apology from a guy who treats his partner poorly. With someone like that it is always the last time…until the next time.

I think Claudia is going to find herself in far less control over this guy as it might appear in the trailer. I think this relationship is going to be ripe with lies, half-truths, illusion and manipulation. A dangerous dynamic to be sure. But I am looking forward to seeing it unfold.

I know there is a HUGE amount of hate over the fact that the season 4 time skip was dealt with a graphic novel. (And some short stories, I have linked them in order to read below)

But would people like it if the creators did make it into an animated series? (Obviously it wont happen, this is theoretical)
