Hi! I'm not a native english speaker, and I've been watching the show for years now. I love it and love how we can have a glimpse into yet another aspect of english culture.
So, my question is, do a lot of people really speak the way Keeley does? I understand that she has an accent as everybody does, seems like in England you have dozens of accents, bur her way of speaking is really particular (i find it funny on the show though). What region is she supposed to be from?
Thanks!

It took me wayyyy too long to realise that Rebecca’s mum was also Kendall, Roman and Shivs mother in Succession , I knew I knew her from somewhere! All 4 are billionaires ( although Rebecca is a much better person than any of the Roys🤣) and all 4 won Emmys for playing her children, crazy.

Why didn’t they hook our boy Ted up with the stage manager? What was even the point of introducing her? Rarely does our boy proactively make a move for himself, and even when he does, the writers still find a way to disappoint us 😭

I was curious about just how many F bombs Roy drops per episode. So of course that called for a rewatch and keeping track of F bombs.
Here's all by episode for season 1

In the larger scheme of things, there was really no need to add her this season. Or, at the very least, the writers did not do a good job of building any real tension around why Richmond’s stakeholders were selling their shares.
Because of that, the eventual reveal that she was behind it all was not surprising at all. Honestly, the shabby, over the top character design practically gave it away from the start.
Another thing about Ted Lasso is that it has always operated on a fairly simple moral logic: good things happen to good people. I never expected the show to take things in a direction where the club could slip out of Rebecca’s hands, at least not in terms of her being the major shareholder. It just did not feel like the right direction for her arc or for the show’s overall tone.

Did anybody go or know about this?

Right before the meeting of the Diamond Dogs and Cat People, Ted and co. ask Nate about how he and Jade are doing etc. and he says "things are great, we LOVE little Athena."
It took me just a split second but I realized they named their daughter Athena because they met at a restaurant called Taste of Athens 🥺❤️ I thought that was an incredibly sweet minor detail to include.

Hi everyone,
The mods gave me permission to post this. My name is Chris Hadley and I am the host/producer of The Viewfinder Podcast, an interview show dedicated to covering indie film, web series, film music and the people who use those art forms - actors, filmmakers, composers - to tell powerful and entertaining stories.
Recent guests have included Justin Kirk (WEEDS, THE VAMPIRE LESTAT, Peacock's THE 'BURBS, Adult Swim's GET JIRO!) and Gopal Divan (INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE and THE VAMPIRE LESTAT).
This week's episode focuses on the "coming of middle-age" road trip comedy WELCOME TO THE FISHBOWL, co-starring Jeremy Swift (who co-stars in TED LASSO as AFC Richmond's Director of Communications and Football Operations Leslie Higgins) as Natalie Gold (SUCCESSION), Sendhil Ramamurthy (HEROES) and Marin Hinkle (THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL).
Swift plays a narcissistic author driven cross-country by his agent's assistant (played by Gold) to receive a literary award, and along the way, they get into a zany series of misadventures that tests their patience with each other and ultimately leads to self-discovery for them both.
Swift, Gold and director/co-writer Sheryl Glubok joined me to talk about the film. Here's the link to listen to our interview on Spotify. Like and subscribe, and please feel free to check out past episodes, too!

My wife and I are watching the entire series for the umpteenth time though this time we’re obviously ending it with our second viewing of Season 4.
Whether we watch the subject episode is always hit-or-miss as it’s not my favorite (lots of differing thought on that, I know).
However, I discovered again this evening that one of my favorite scenes of the entire series is from this episode, when Beard has Renee let PBJ onto the Nelson Rd pitch. The beauty of that sheer joy shown by Paul, Bas, and Jeremy feels great and always makes me smile, no matter what my mood is.
Great scene … will always love it ❤️🩹!

Went to visit Richmond the other day, a queue of people formed for a photo on the phone box bench, one dude sat there for over an hour with a shit-eating grin on his face knowing full well he was ruining it for everyone else. Don’t be a tool.

I don't know why, but one of my favorite things in this show is when beard dances. I just want to be loose like him and feel the music in my soul.
