On a completely different note - does anybody have any useful tips/tricks for the polyend tracker mini?

550 watts for the 210, 440 on the 112, each has a 1 inch "compression driver" (tweeter, horn?)... Clearly knocking off the Fender amp design aesthetic.
The weirdest thing is that they're specifically advertising "zero perceptible latency"... I guess buzzwords sell? because I have never used an amp or PA that had "latency". I have never heard someone complain about amp latency. Just... of all the things you could choose to brag about, one is bringing up an absolute non-issue. Its like selling a car and advertising that the doors never accidentally open on their own while its being driven. Its not something I've heard of happening, and the fact that you draw attention to it makes me worry.

I spent an afternoon building out some shelves for this $50 double keyboard stand that I bought on FBMP. I'm a painter and handyman by trade so the material and hardware were scrap or next to free. I recently bought the Akai MPC 261 also on FBMP for $100. (I never pay full price) Once i got it on the stand I knew i wanted something for my Minilogue right above it. So I made one. The angles were a bit tricky but we got it nailed or rather screwed and glued down. I also needed a permanent home for the Bass Station ii which has a wonderful external input that you can latch open and filter so I added an extra large shelf for an extra noise maker to run through the BSii. Currently it has a Yamaha PSS-460 from 1985 connected to it which sounds absolutely filthy through the BSii. Lofo delight fo sho. Be well everyone. Hope you are having an amazing day.

If you guys have any cool tips or tricks I should know about this synth, let me know! I’m excited to finally own a synth

I bought a Korg minilogue xd a few months ago, and while it is by far the coolest thing I have ever owned, I don’t really play it much. I’ve been trying to learn, but I don’t really care to tweak patches. I want to just sit down, discover sounds, and layer/loop them live into a moody soundtrack or song.
I’m not too interested in making recordings and tweaking in software, I just want a machine that helps me express in real time.
So I’m reconsidering where that $600 could go.
A YouTube comment suggested I focus on groove boxes. I’d likely use that more, but I don’t want to lose the tactile press keys get sound that an analog synth provides. So maybe a mixture would be better?
I almost bought the volka keys in the first place, and with that money saved, I could get a groove box to connect to it. But which do you like for it? Or maybe I’m off base and another option would be better? Open to all suggestions under $600!

hey y’all. I really want to pick up a TEO-5 but since we’re so close to black friday I figure I might as well hold out in hopes of a deal. thing is, I haven’t seen any black friday “deals” worth a shit in what feels like years.
What do you guys think? is it even possible I could find one of these for a couple hundred bucks off? is it even worth waiting? any tips/tricks/strats?

Behringer just shared a GitHub repository for their groovebox. They let the community do the homework regarding the software. The whole thing looking nearly identical to the MPC One.

In the title. There have to be hundreds, maybe over a thousand different firmwares at this point? I have no idea where to even start. Ideally, I'd like something that turns the device into something similar to the Elektron Model:Cycles, as that's what I want right now but can't afford.
Any other shout-outs or favored firmwares? I make dark ambient/noise, occasionally some techno on the harder edge of the spectrum. I like gear with generative/randomization options and unique/weird-sounding stuff. Currently using a Trogotronics Antidote, Bastl Kastle 1.5 and SOMA RoAT to make textured drones/noise.

In the context of synthesizers, you often hear phrases like "looking for an inspiring synth" or "This synth didn't inspire me", often treated as quality indicators for a certain piece of gear, despite the vagueness and subjectivity around the word.
"Inspiring" could be (with some cynicism, admitted) interpreted as:
...and a bunch of definitions like that.
So I'm curious:
What does "inspiring" mean to you, in the context of synths?
And do you consider it a useful, somewhat objective criteria, or rather just a somewhat empty phrase to state "This synth clicked with me"?

Hey everyone!
I recently got myself a Berhinger 2600 (Blue Marvin) and have been loving it so far.
Today though I noticed, that when I have every single slider at zero and turn the reverb up, I start hearing considerable noise at 20%+ and even a pitched sound, which I can control with my MIDI keyboard.
Does anybody have an idea, what might be going on here?
Edit: I have noticed that not only can I control the pitch via MIDI, but also directly influence it via the tuning of all 3 oscillators.
Edit 2: I have just checked recordings and video from the last few days and the noise and pitch was NOT noticable back then. Again, I have everything else set to zero. Wth is going on
Edit 3: I have noticed that I can produce that noise/pitch even if I have EVERYTHING turned off, even the reverb.

All the sounds are coming from FM1, running a simple drum sequencer to channel 8, and a dual lane Shift Register sequencer, one lane to 303 bass line on channel 2 and the second lane to a pluck on channel 4, recorded by iPhone Duo over USB-C.

I got a Udo super 6 keyboard a year ago (new), but recently noticed that the bottom A flat note on the keyboard feels lighter to press and easier to trigger than the others, which have more resistance when pressing down. It also moves around a bit more when I wiggle it side to side. All the other keys are fine.
What might cause this? It's a little off-putting because I might trigger that note accidentally when playing just by lightly tapping it.
Any input is appreciated thank you!
