Question
So I bought an auctioned hellcat pro and noticed the lugs for the optics have been all milled like there's none left. Now I have a Holosun 407K sitting around after selling my Glock 43x and am planning to put that on my hellcat pro but I think it will not hold the optics in the long run. So:
1) Should I get a DPP plate adapter for the hellcat pro when using the holosun? I feel like the contour of the plate + the foot print will give the holosun a better fit.
2) Should I just mount the hellcat pro without the DPP plate?

Mine weren’t milled but I can attest to DPp plates’ quality. I have them on all my guns and have thousands through them with absolutely no issue.
With that said I would personally go for the plate due the reasons you mentioned. Yes it’ll practically be held by two screws regardless. But to your point the optic would be snug so there’s no momentum building up on top of that of the slides’
