I'm building Skatlas, a collaborative worldwide atlas of ska and rocksteady.

One thing I've noticed is how much ska history and how many local scenes remain relatively unknown outside their own countries.

So I'd love to ask this community:

What's one ska or rocksteady band from your country (past or present) that deserves more international recognition?

Big bands, forgotten bands, local legends, obscure discoveries... anything goes!

I'm especially interested in discovering scenes that don't get much international coverage.

I'll explore your suggestions and hopefully add some of these bands to Skatlas, with proper sources and credits.

Let's discover some ska together!

Shane from CC here...

We just released our new single 'Back of The Line'! It's moody country-pop inspired ska about self-awareness and mental wellness. Definitely not your typical ska punk, but if you're into Kacey Musgraves, Tom Petty, Dolly, or you just like some brassy horn sections, this song is for you!

Lou (lead singer) and I just recently interviewed with 'On The Upbeat!'. We'll be doing the same with 'Skagazine' in November!

Thanks for taking the time to check it out!
