PROPOSAL HELP!!

I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend of five years in Sevilla in November. We are coming in from Miami and planning to spend a lot of time in the city.

I mapped out a lot of areas that might be great to pop the question and came across Puente de Triana to potentially do it.

Here's the question, does anyone have tips for a good spot to do it in the bridge. Perhaps below the bridge or off to the side? Time of day (sunset)? Anything that I might be missing or be caught by surprise about? Really want everything to go perfect because she is perfect so anything helps!

1. We will be staying in Sevilla for 4 nights and I am wondering what are the must sees as well as some of the hidden gems?
2. Is 4 nights enough, given that this will be our only stop in Spain? We have the other 10 days allocated to Sicily (4 nights Taormina, 2 nights Agrigento, 4 nights Ortigia) but technically could adjust that.
3. Any recommendations on where to stay in Sevilla?
4. Which day trip should we fit in?

Hola all, I moved here about 3 weeks ago and I don’t know anyone here. Hoping to meet other English speaking women to hang out with, go to dinner, drinks, museums, walks, live music shows, day or weekend trips around Spain, etc. I’m into art, music, fitness, dancing, reading, cooking, traveling. Hi all, I am going to Seville with my partner in beginning of November and would appreciate any recommendations as there is an overwhelming amount of bars and food spots to consider. We are massive foodies, love walks/hikes and our beer and wines.

We want to experience the local culture I love Flamenco dancing and music. Therefore, any recommendations for those types of events or anything someone the city should experience. I am open to anything and below is an idea of what I have been able to gather so far!

Hi I haven’t booked anything yet but looking to come to Seville in second week of November for 4 to 5 days. Any suggestions where should I stay without breaking my bank also would be travelling solo for the first time .

We managed to go yesterday in the end, nobody checked for IDs at the entrance, they just scanned the code on the ticket, but I cannot guarantee that will happen on Tuesday again. They might prohibit entry in case they decide to check IDs.

Una persona muy querida para mi radica en Sevilla, y ha estado bajo tratamiento por Desorden Bipolar II severo desde hace varios años dentro del sistema de salud pública. Para ser más precisos, es la depresión bipolar su problema más grave. Se ha ido deteriorando sin freno en los ultimos tres o cuatro años, y está por ingresarse en salud mental por tercera o cuarta vez.

Me queda claro que tenemos que buscar respuestas con un medico privado (sin demeritar a la salud publica, la cual apoyo). El problema es que yo vivo en otro continente, y no tengo la menor idea de donde empezar a buscar. La psiquiatría es una practica muy delicada, y lamentablemente un gran psiquatra es dificil de encontrar (conozco psiquiatras que no saben ni identificar un episodio de mania cuando lo ven).

Queria apelar a la empatia de esta comunidad y pedirles sus referencias, recomendaciones, y experiencias, para saber como ayudar a esta persona. Ya sea en Sevilla, o fuera, de ser necesario.

Holy Week in Seville is (in my opinion) the BUSIEST week in Seville (And I live there). If you do NOT want to find entire (And i am not hyping this) WALLS of people. So yeah, it is a nice event. A lot of people count down to the 9 days it hosts. There are 71 brotherhoods, each one which avg. 2 of these GIANT structures. On Sunday, monday and wednesday it is the busiest, with about 18 of these carriers.

Hi! I’ll be coming to Seville for an Erasmus internship at the beginning of February and staying for 3 months.

I’m planning to rent a room in a shared apartment and I’ve started looking already, but the options available at the moment don’t seem that great.

I’m not really sure how far in advance people usually book rooms in Seville, or Spain in general. Would it be better to book something now, or should I wait until I’m a bit closer to my arrival date and see if more options become available?

Aside from the big market, what are everyone's favorite tapas spots and tourist attractions?

Question for the foodies here, is Canabota in Seville worth going? I love good food but the place seemed a bit serious. My alternative is Barra Baja and espacio eslava. Any suggestions would be utmost appreciated.

Hi all! My brother and I are both in our late 20s and will be visiting with our mom for a few days in December and one of those happens to be NYE.

For a relaxed evening that includes maybe some tapas and drinks, will we need to make reservations? I have looked at a couple of tapas bars online and so far am not seeing the possibility to reserve on NYE. Any and all guidance is appreciated.

My mother and grandmother were on a holiday in Seville when my grandmother became very ill and has been hospitalised, they are from New Zealand and my mother is in need of some direction on maybe a place she can rent for a while or maybe anyone willing to help her in any way as she cannot speak any Spanish, terrible situation I know but I am in Australia and cannot help her much from here.

Hi everyone! I am coming to Seville from the 1st of November up until the 22nd of November with my wife and a 3 year old kid. I am looking to rent a place with parking because i will have a car. Do you have any recommendations for a hotel or an apartment that is close to the center or somewhere (we were thinking Plaza de España) where my girls can walk to see things and explore on foot. I will try not to use the car that much and that is why i would like a parking place included in a rented place.

What are your thoughts about public transport and can you pay for it by card?

A lot of the drivers here are very aggressive out in the road and don't pay attention to pedestrians crossing the road.

It's not helpful that they purposefully turn off their lights (blinkers, headlights) despite being in roundabouts.

It's probably my own experience that's speaking but the driving in southern Spain seems less civilized than in northern Spain.

Hello everyone. I’m trying to find a kind young woman (English speaker) who was on the Sevilla-Cádiz train (Renfe MD 13010) on Saturday, April 25th.

I was sitting in Car 2, Seat 76, and she was in the window seat directly across from me.

She shared her white MacBook multi-charger with me because my phone was dead. She literally saved my day, as I had no other way to contact the people picking me up at San Fernando (Bahía Sur) station. I got off there and she continued her trip, probably all the way to Cádiz.

I just want to say thank you properly for such a kind gesture! If you are this person, know her, or if you were on that train and remember anything, please send me a DM.
