I tried getting good at the jump. But then it was always so inconsistent for me... So I decided to just learn DoH instead.

On my first playthrough I got shura ending by complete accident. I was just messing to see whats the dialogue if you repeatedly choose the "incorrect" option and I didnt knew that on second confirmation they actually give you the bad ending. I hated fighting emma.

Well maybe if the bull didn’t do chip damage on perfect parries I’d stop dodging it. I don’t care if it’s still optimal, if I can avoid damage I will

I think this fight was better if it was two phases (it also gets its health and posture reduced per phase, of course), and only in the second does the bull deal fire damage. This would give the player more confidence in parrying its attacks and accept the chip damage.

My beef with it is that I like doing no hit fights so taking chip damage for deflecting perfectly is annoying. I learned how to dodge the bull for that reason.

If you parry him, you can get some hits in on his head, which staggers him and also does more damage while accumulating more posture.

That's awesome. Before I had kids I worked at a place with ridiculous hours averaging 60 or so hours a week and I would play the switch or emulate on phone. If I worked their any longer I was going to get a gaming laptop and sekiro was why I was considering doing that.

You can even exit the boss fight in the middle (of fight) from menu and start again if you dont want to loose your xp and money

Unlike the dark souls series or elden ring, Sekiro time pauses when you open inventory. Which kinda makes sense since some bosses are so insanely aggressive that just drinking the gourd successfully is a challenge.
