My desert hairy unknown age has been agitated lately. I think she ate the 3 dubia roaches I gave her ~10-14 days ago but since she was agitated I didn’t feed anymore. Her tank has been consistently >70°F and humidity <55%. She is about 3-3.5” in length and has been in this position on the warmer side of my tank for >24 hours. She has been twitching and moving her tail around slightly at the what seems to be about the same energy level. I don’t see any cracks in the exoskeleton but it’s also hard to see. I don’t know what is happening and I don’t know what to do.

IMO this is usually caused by some sort of pesticide or chemical introduce into the tank. Or she could be dying of old age. Was she making any erratic movements or thrashing?

She has just been slowly twitching. All I have done to build the tank is put play sand, top soil that I hand sifted, excavator clay, and live plants that I got at plant stores. I got the dubia roaches from pet smart and have been giving her Brita filtered water from the fridge every time it seems to have evaporated. We have a cat that likes to sit on top of the enclosed tank and hit the glass sometimes but that’s it. She was agitated and running around the tank with her tail curled up for a couple days before this

IME the plants from a plant store could be a very likely culprit of why the scorpion is acting this way. It’s not uncommon for them to spray the plants with pesticides or fertilizer while in store. Those two compounds can be very harmful to invertebrates
