Feels like I hit a plateau; maybe I just need more time.

During my summer vacation before entering G8, I felt so good about receiving a 740. Became an 8th grader—it worsened.

I just gotta go read books

Do I retake a 1540 because of the cheating situation?

Post image

Hello! As you all may know, the SAT has a huge cheating problem. Thankfully, I had enough common sense to pass it with flying colors, ranking second in my study group in terms of scores. However, the more I scroll through social media, the more people I come across who have SAT scores of 1550+ but really bad IELTS scores, ranging from 5.0 to 6.5. Also, the MINIMUM SAT score I can apply with to a university I considered my “safe option” has risen to 1530.
I have no idea what to do. I’m aiming to apply abroad, though, so maybe the SAT cheating problem is less severe in places like Saudi, the US, HK, etc..
My education system is eleven year, so I don’t have much time.

i’ve gotten a repeated 670 4 times in a row, these ones here are only two out of 4. today i FINALLY broke that streak in RW only for it to end up in math.
i registered for the november trial and it’ll be my very first trial and i’m aiming for a 1500+. i was told by my teachers and people that it was hypothetically possible but i don’t like getting my hopes up very much. with the way things are going, am i cooked or will i cook?

Need sat tips asap

Got my SAT in about 10 days and rn M stuck in 1100s and M aiming for a 1500. Ik it sounds unrealistic to jump a +400 in such less time but if any of you got any tips for me to improve and achieve 1500 or closer to it, it'd truly mean a lot to me. M extremely worried cause I really need a good score in order to get into a good uni abroad. I'd be really grateful if your tips help me in that!!!

Am I the reason I failed the SAT?

For starters, I'm about sophomore year of high school. The thing is, I don't even go to school or have an education. I'm "homeschooled" which is what my parents like to call it. So they give me a ton of work outside the course work, and this is an important detail. So I was failing SAT prep, to the point i was scoring 980's every time I took it. Things felt hopeless, since I never even wanted to attend college.

So anyways they would yell at me so bad and push me around cuz they weren't happy with the score, and they made me take a full length practice test every day and post it to their family group. As you can imagine, it was tiring and I began to resent taking this at all.

On the day of the SAT results, I scored a 1000, which is obviously not enough for Zell Miller scholarship. I should have went to a proper high school and do regular GPA stuff.

How to improve R&W

Post image
3 Upvotes

In my recent practice tests, I've been doing better in math than R&W. Notably, I always get routed to the harder R&W module, but then I always get upwards of 10 questions wrong there. Are there any good ways for me to improve my R&W scores? I understand that R&W is comparatively reliant on experience, which is an automatic disadvantage for me due to me being in the 8th grade - I'm taking this to apply for a collegiate high school - but I'm confident I can improve R&W substantially, to a level equal or above math.

1380 to 1450~ tips?

Hey, on the september SAT I got a 1380 (740 maths, 640 english), and in english my mistakes are in information and ideas mostly (i lose points in others too but mostly info and ideas), and in maths its mostly just silly mistakes like forgetting a sign or misunderstanding a word problem. Tips to go to like 1430+? Preferable around 1450. I’m taking the SAT again on November 7 and then most likely December 5.

If you had enough time for each reading and writing question, how could you consistently select the right reading answer—meaning you would be certain of the correct response?

SAT Maths Compound Interest and Simple Interest

I want to know whether compound interest and simple interest calculations are included in recent SAT maths syllabus. I saw them in College Panda Textbook but when I do past papers, i have seen no such questions YET. So, I want to confirm.

SAT Reading Question Bank Resources

Hi! I am currently preparing for the November SAT and was wondering if there are any resources (questionbanks) for reading? I am aiming to go from low 700s to mid-high 700s.

I have already done the CollegeBoard question bank and one prep.

Sat science score

I took the sat 2 years ago and I’m taking a gap year right now before starting university, will my old sat grade automatically have the science score added or will the science score be added only for those taking the SAT after 2026?

Omitted middle/second name

I registered for the SAT with my first and last name but my full legal name consists of two given names. So for example i registered with Peter Parker but my full legal name is Peter Benjamin Parker.

Should I get this corrected?

1400 -> 1500 advice?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I scored a 1420 on the SAT but needed a 1500. Probably isn’t the first nor the last person who will ask this question but currently feeling quite lost on how to get the score up. I don’t feel like I deserve this score since i feel like the test is quite easy after comparing to other friends who also took the test and the practice test. I am quite anxious since November probably will be my last shot.

I have the November SAT and have tried to study but just feel quite lost on how to perfect those last few points. Any advices are very very welcome(desperate). November is just a reach away but I am WILLING to try any of the suggestions.

Right now I am doing the collage panda sat math book but I feel like it just doesn’t match the sat test and I am waisting my time.

superstore hacking

not sure if anyone ever written about this but i keep thinking about this. what if i study really hard to ace the RW section and not care about math then retake the next month only studying math and acing math, then i have a really good super score. does this make sense to anyone else and is it a good strategy? i’m already scoring mid to high 600s in both sections so their wouldn’t be that much of a score discrepancy between the two tests. meaning say i get an 800/660 then next test i get something like 680/800
