My latest sat score was1290 with 720 on math and 570 on rw. I know my weakness is reading not grammar. I had practice multiple times watched multiple utube vids (that top scorer rec to me) ,however i still cant accumulate my score. Any tips anyone wanna share as? Ps. Am international student and eng is not my first language.
Hello! As you all may know, the SAT has a huge cheating problem. Thankfully, I had enough common sense to pass it with flying colors, ranking second in my study group in terms of scores. However, the more I scroll through social media, the more people I come across who have SAT scores of 1550+ but really bad IELTS scores, ranging from 5.0 to 6.5. Also, the MINIMUM SAT score I can apply with to a university I considered my “safe option” has risen to 1530 (I meant the minimal passing applicant being 1530, sorry for the confusion)
I have no idea what to do. I’m aiming to apply abroad, though, so maybe the SAT cheating problem is less severe in places like Saudi, the US, HK, etc..
My education system is eleven year, so I don’t have much time.
Bro I missed the fucking november late registration deadline. I tried signing up multiple times weeks ago but was having trouble with my phone number it wasn’t in the right format. Man fuck me. Idk what I seek to gain from this but I’m a senior and that was my last chance to bump up the score fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
I got 710 rw and 790 math in practice test 4. I find it very weird how the scoring works since i got 27/27, 23/27 in rw and 21/22, 21/22 in math. Feel like my rw should be higher, any thoughts on this?
(I've looked through a bunch of similar posts and couldn't find an answer)
So I've done a bunch of practice tests and keep scoring a 1470 (690 english, 780 math). Would doing the english bootcamp actually help, or is it only helpful for lower scores?
i’ve gotten a repeated 670 4 times in a row, these ones here are only two out of 4. today i FINALLY broke that streak in RW only for it to end up in math.
i registered for the november trial and it’ll be my very first trial and i’m aiming for a 1500+. i was told by my teachers and people that it was hypothetically possible but i don’t like getting my hopes up very much. with the way things are going, am i cooked or will i cook?
not sure if anyone else has run into situations like this. I'm too broke to fly to a different part of my country just to take a test, If anyone has had this issue and found a solution please let me know
I started preparing for the November SAT about 1.5 weeks ago, my main form of studies is just a mock every day or two, and sometimes a video about a topic I've been doing badly in (watched a vid for transitions, inferences and coe each) because I'm not sure of how I can prepare for the R&W section. If you have any tips, please lmk, also the below attached list is of all the topics I got wrong in every mock ive taken, so if y'all have any specific tips for those too please help out, thank you
In my recent practice tests, I've been doing better in math than R&W. Notably, I always get routed to the harder R&W module, but then I always get upwards of 10 questions wrong there. Are there any good ways for me to improve my R&W scores? I understand that R&W is comparatively reliant on experience, which is an automatic disadvantage for me due to me being in the 8th grade - I'm taking this to apply for a collegiate high school - but I'm confident I can improve R&W substantially, to a level equal or above math.
i am a junior from california wanting to do premed
my og plan was to not take the SAT and just try to apply instate, but i keep seeing more and more people in my grade prepping for the SAT/PSAT, and now i am feeling unsure.
i have began considering out-of-state options but i do lots of dual enrollment and idk if my creds would transfer over and if its worth the money
Hi! I am currently preparing for the November SAT and was wondering if there are any resources (questionbanks) for reading? I am aiming to go from low 700s to mid-high 700s.
I have already done the CollegeBoard question bank and one prep.
i have yet to start studying for the sat, so i was wondering where is recommended that i study for it, where im able to take practice tests, and how often it is recommended to study? sorry if these are dumb questions, im starting to regret not looking into any of this sooner. thank you in advance
I took the sat 2 years ago and I’m taking a gap year right now before starting university, will my old sat grade automatically have the science score added or will the science score be added only for those taking the SAT after 2026?
I'm completley unfamiliar with the SAT format as i sat ig's and A levels (British system), How do people who got high scores like 1550+ prep for it and what resources did you use
I registered for the SAT with my first and last name but my full legal name consists of two given names. So for example i registered with Peter Parker but my full legal name is Peter Benjamin Parker.
For starters, I'm about sophomore year of high school. The thing is, I don't even go to school or have an education. I'm "homeschooled" which is what my parents like to call it. So they give me a ton of work outside the course work, and this is an important detail. So I was failing SAT prep, to the point i was scoring 980's every time I took it. Things felt hopeless, since I never even wanted to attend college.
So anyways they would yell at me so bad and push me around cuz they weren't happy with the score, and they made me take a full length practice test every day and post it to their family group. As you can imagine, it was tiring and I began to resent taking this at all.
On the day of the SAT results, I scored a 1000, which is obviously not enough for Zell Miller scholarship. I should have went to a proper high school and do regular GPA stuff.
If you had enough time for each reading and writing question, how could you consistently select the right reading answer—meaning you would be certain of the correct response?
Got my SAT in about 10 days and rn M stuck in 1100s and M aiming for a 1500. Ik it sounds unrealistic to jump a +400 in such less time but if any of you got any tips for me to improve and achieve 1500 or closer to it, it'd truly mean a lot to me. M extremely worried cause I really need a good score in order to get into a good uni abroad. I'd be really grateful if your tips help me in that!!!
can anyone tell from where should i prepare SAT read & write section. i am weak in english, so please guide me, also tell me the resources from where i should prepare.
I have registered for 7 Nov SAT, this has been the improvement. I am trying to do all hard questions and everything. Is there any way I can possibly get 1400+??
