General Advice Before you pay $144/year for Wispr Flow, you can use ChatGPT for dictation
I just discovered that the ChatGPT desktop app has built-in voice-to-text, and surprisingly, it works across your Mac, not just inside ChatGPT.
If you're paying $144/year for Wispr Flow Pro, this might save you another subscription.
What I like about it:
- Free to use
- Works across Mac apps
- Customizable keyboard shortcut
- No additional software to install if you already use ChatGPT
How to enable it:
- Open ChatGPT on your Mac.
- Go to Settings → Voice → Dictation.
- Set your keyboard shortcut.
- Press the shortcut in any app and start speaking.
That's it.
Has anyone tried both? I'm curious whether Wispr Flow is worth paying for if you already have ChatGPT installed.
