Film Furiousa: A Mad Max Saga - A Great Prequel That Never Lived Up To Its Full Potential And Predecessor
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is a post-apocalyptic action film that may disappoint you if you compare it to Mad Max: Fury Road. But if you try to judge it on it's own merit, you'll experience the best action film of the year, featuring incredible performances, compelling characters, and awesome set-pieces while exploring more of the wasteland setting of this franchise, with more themes and ideas to delve into. George Miller directs this film with passion and skill albeit too much passion and less skill this time considering that this film is very self-indulgent which greatly messes up the pacing and narrative of this movie, making it unfocused and meandering at times. However, the biggest gripe in this movie are it's inconsistent visuals and effects along with the cinematography. Sometimes, it looks beautiful and jaw-dropping but sometimes it also looks like a videogame cutscene from Blizzard or Riot Games which is very distracting because we're watching a movie, not a videogame cutscene. Overall, despite it's flaws, Furiousa is an amazing action movie that I'd recommend watching. It's lean and mean just like the titular protagonist and her archnemesis.
