I don’t wanna break the bank but I also wanna collect cool cards, mostly ones that were around when I was a kid as you can probably tell from the first page🤣I’ve got a few of them so far (groudon is the anniversary will get the original eventually), also side note should I put my cards in sleeves and then in the binder or is that overkill, I don’t care about keeping them mint but I want them in acceptable condition

The new one "the blinker challenge", hits my youtube ads like every time. They hit a vape pen for 10 seconds and then open a pack on the website.

You are not allowed to encourage smoking in advertising or drug use. Pokemon is a children's product. The site is gambling. CROWNCARDS KNOWS WHO BLAZINTHEASIAN IS AND STILL DID IT. THEY PAY HIM TO CORRUPT KIDS!

They paid a smoking influencer, to encourage kids to gamble. This is a blatent violation of multiple laws. This company needs to see some repricussions.

This hobby needs to kick out the bad actors.

The Pokemon market is kind of insane right now, especially even for damaged XY BW era singles which is all I can really afford from my childhood, I have some new stuff as well but I can really only afford Chinese or Korean and I remember in 2016 being able to buy Korean evolution or Roaring Skies for $15 a box on eBay - is there any hope for a market crash? I’ve pretty much given up on collecting for a period of time and I’m back on the games playing on cheap repro carts (thank god for Aliexpress). I really just wanna complete a couple binders and make cheap displays, but with cards I wanted from my childhood. Is there any hope or will this hobby be forever expensive and should I just start buying bootleg figures or something else.

Im a mom trying to find Pokémon cards for my son’s birthday, and Im failing miserably lol .
I’ve been checking Walmart and Target almost daily when I can. I’ve even shown up when I know there’s a restock, only to be 30+ people back in line and end up leaving with nothing. I’ve tried Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Best Buy, Walmart limited time drawings also haven’t won ..I can’t find anything — not even a single pack of pitch black.
I’ve checked local card shops too but everything seems to be marked up 50% or more over . I’m willing to pay a little over MSRP if I have to, as long as it’s a trustworthy seller and I’m not getting completely ripped off.
I’m not looking to resell anything or make a profit. I’m just a mom trying to find some packs to make my boys birthdays special.
Any websites, stores, restock tips, or advice would be SO appreciated! I’m in Florida, if that helps.

Title, need some help finding a card that would fit well here!

I so envy people who customize their binders inside and out with a keen eye and artistic abillity... what have i done 😆

Since its impossible to find 30th for retail anywhere I thought I would bite the bullet and pay reseller prices after seeing my fb marketplace flood with Costco 30th bundles. I paid $200cad and I think ill just sell the booster bundle after getting lucky from the etb!

I know my flatmate likes opening packs and collecting cards- I’ll be spending christmas with him this year and thought I could buy him a box of pokémon cards and we can just unpack them throughout the day :)

i am just a bit clueless of what’s a good type of box or what i should look for so I’d appreciate your suggestions!

The availability of packs and the presence of scalpers grabbing as many sealed products of Pokemon as they can as soon as it hits shelf is a hot topic in this subreddit and we regularly get people asking about how they can buy Pokemon cards without buying them at inflated prices from resellers.

So, if YOU were in charge of the next set, what would you do to totally make it so that everyone, everywhere can just walk into Target or Walmart or other local store at any time and buy packs at MSRP?

Throughout the entirety of the TCG, what is your favorite Pokémon card, and your least favorite Pokémon card?

For me, my least favorite Pokémon card of all time is first edition base Charizard. For someone who’s an actual collector and has been since the TCG, video games, and anime has come out. This card ruined the entirety of the hobby.

As for my favorite card, That would either have to go to the Toxtricity GG Crown Zenith, the Mew VMax from fusion strike, or the Mega Lucario SIR from Mega Base

Just wanted to ask if anyone knows if this binder is compatible for cards with sleeves. On the Pokemon Center website, it doesn't actually state if you can use sleeves while other binders on the site actually do clarify that you can use sleeves.

The binder looks super cool, so I would hope it does.

Since Illustration cards are quite hard to get where I live, and not all of the Gen 1 Pokémon even have IRs/SIRs, so I decided to try and make some myself. I used pokecardmaker for the card forms. Which Gen 1 mons should I draw next?

Vorrei inserirle all’interno delle penny sleeve Ultra Pro, quindi cerco qualcosa di simile alle sleeve dell’ETB, ma non perfect fit.

Finally pulled something worth grading 🙌.Decided to go with Tag and to my suprise i got the highest graded 10 out of all 44 blues graded so far 🥳. They got me on centering tho 🥲 just 1 point off from a pristine 10 😭. Thanks for listening ya'll just wanted to share the win 💙💙💙💙. Whats ur favorite color?

UPDATE:

Engine degreaser from autozone was my weapon of choice. Applied onto qtip and rubbed for 15 sec. Wiped down with damp water rag. Another wipe with a dry rag.

Hey everyone. I’ve got these fossil packs that I’d like to display, but there is some price tag residue on the three packs. I’ve used 70% alcohol and tried to remove the residue, but no luck. Has anyone dealt with this before or maybe could provide some insight?

this is aimed more at any parents on this sub, would it be enjoyable for trick-or-treaters to hand out pokemon cards or do the kids only want packs to rip? i was planning on putting a ton of bulk into a big box but i don't know if that would be all that exciting for them

I can’t find with a simple google search but does anyone know if a Slab & Top Loader combo binder exists? Trying to do specific pokemon binders that included my graded and non graded for that specific one. Thanks in advance.
