I've spent over 25 years working in enterprise IT. I've handled pretty much everything with a power plug, from installing Windows 95 using floppy disks to infrastructure, networks, datacenters, cloud, incident management, and IT project management.

Along the way, I've experienced two datacenter fires, encountered more Shadow IT than I'd care to remember, and worked on mergers and acquisitions where the actual infrastructure looked rather different from what the due diligence paperwork suggested.

I also host IT Horror Stories (https://ithorrorstories.eu), a podcast where IT professionals share real incidents, what went wrong, how they recovered, and what they learned.
