I've been on a mix of Samsung phones (eg the S23U, S26U) and Pixel phones for the last 5+ years now and I've thoroughly enjoyed them. I'm currently using an S26U.
However due to recent events (having a baby), I've noticed that baby photos from family members who use iPhones are generally better. We have a family chat where people share their photos in, and iPhone photos just seem to be consistently good.
I already have an iPad and Airpods, so it's not like I'm unfamiliar with the Apple ecosystem. However I absolutely hate the iOS keyboard which is probably why I've been on Android so long.
Every other aspect of Android I could easily give up, but the keyboard is tough...but I might consider it if it will result in generally better photos.
Does anyone have any camera reviews they can point me to which are specifically of moving subjects such as kids and pets? Cameras are so good now that in ideal conditions, I think most of them look great. It's conditions such as low light and moving subjects together which I'm interested in.
The only review I can find is this one comparing the 18 Pro, S26U and Pixel 11 Pro

What's the best android out there for filming reels and vertical content? I'd be using a lot of the selfie camera so I'd need something with really sharp and good quality there, with good brightness. But also the back camera for general filming.
I know Oppo has excellent camera/vid quality with its new range and a Xiaomi 17pro max you can see yourself when filming with back camera. Problem is many of the shops here (UK) don't have these phones to even test out. Any suggestions?

budget 20-30k inr (~200-300$)
will be upgrading from a trash 10k (~100$) redmi phone from 2023, so my standards are very low.
i wanna use this phone for atleast 6 years and custom rom support is very important, especially lineageos. other requirement is 256gb storage.
good camera & battery would be nice too but cant ask too much from this budget.
dont care much about gaming/ performance, just want it to last 6 years for basic tasks and multitasking.
few phones i found are pixel 7, oneplus 9 and oneplus 11 from used market.
pls suggest
thank you

Motorola edge 70 fusion
Lava agni
Oppo k14 plus
Galaxy a56(if extending budget upto 32000)
But I'm still confused as a36 has decent camera performance is not that good

Looking for a phone with really good optical zoom in India. The OPPO Find X9 Ultra caught my attention, especially for its camera setup, but I'm not sure if it's worth going for over other camera flagships.
My main priority is zoom photography, taking shots of distant subjects, wildlife, buildings and concerts without losing too much detail. Low-light photos and overall camera consistency matter too. For anyone who's used it or compared it with other flagship phones, how good is the zoom in use? Are the results noticeably better, or do other phones offer a similar experience?
Also, any alternatives worth considering in India?

looking for a phone for my mum. she basically just video calls the grandkids and takes photos of her garden, but the phone she has now takes really blurry photos and she keeps asking me to fix it lol.
trying to keep it under $500 and buy from jb so she can take it back in person if there's an issue.
i was looking at the moto g86 power because it's in budget and people say the battery is really good, couldn't find much about the camera though.
has anyone got one? are the photos decent indoors? happy to hear other options too!

Currently I am using realme 11 Pro and i m thinking of upgrading to realme gt 7t. Because my current device battery is almost degraded. So can you guys pls tell me how is it as i m seeing mix reviews about it. My usage pattern is light calling and messaging and watching movies and series and casual gaming. And i need good camera to click photos on occasional purposes like any festival or event. How its battery backup is? And does it have heating issues. In offline market i m getting resale value of my current device around 10k to 13k so i can easily get gt 7t under 30 k so should I go for it or not. As i m planning to keep it for atleast 3 to 4 yrs.

Have you been looking for a phone whose battery lasts all day? Here are 3 phones that don't require regular charging.
Which phone would you choose? And besides battery, what’s a must-have for you in a phone?

What smartphone would you recommend with a budget of ₱33,000?
I'm looking for a phone that focuses on gaming performance and multitasking without sacrificing too much camera quality.
Here are my requirements:
- Budget: Maximum of ₱33,000
- Software: Must run at least Android 16
- Software support: At least 4 years of software updates
- Performance: Powerful chipset that can handle demanding games and heavy multitasking smoothly
- Camera: Good overall camera quality for everyday photography and videos
- Availability: Easily accessible in both physical stores and official online stores in the Philippines
- After-sales support: Reliable warranty and customer service
I'm looking for the best all-around option that balances gaming, multitasking, camera quality, and long-term usability within my budget.

Hey,
I currently have an Soney Xperia 1 IV and I've generally been pretty happy with it, but it's starting to get long in the tooth and the fact that it's stuck on Android 14 means some of my apps won't work on it any more, so I'm considering getting a new phone. Unfortunately, I'm in the US, which means it's a royal pain in the neck and I'd apprecaite some help.
Country: USA
Carrier: Verizon
Price: I don't have a range so long as the price is comencerate with the features. (I.E. I don't want the gold plated model, but I'm willing to pay flagship prices.)
Size Preference: Large screens are preferable. Folding would be interesting, but I don't think any folding phones have headphone jacks.
What will it be used for: Mostly media, reading, and GPS (including on a bike), but the option for gaming and other things would be nice. The front camera gets more use than the selfie camera.
Preferred brands: None, so long as they're reliable.
Other: A 3.5mm jack, sd-card support, and NFC are non-negotiable. Waterproofing and a replacable battery are nice to have, but less important, and I don't care about wireless charging in the slightest.
I value longevity and longer update support over top end specs, but good specs are still nice.
I think that should be everything, but please let me know if you have any questions or if there's something else I should add.

I currently have a refurbished Google Pixel 6 and I'm looking to upgrade. My main problems with it are the brightness and storage capacity. There are several times where I haven't been able to see my phone screen during the day while my partner's Huawei is perfectly bright so it's not just an every phone thing.
I don't care about camera quality and I despise folding phones. I need at least 256 GB storage and a battery that lasts the day. I use my phone a lot for reading and my current one has to charge at least once a day even if I charge it at night. I'm not looking to buy another refurbished phone so I don't need it to be the latest model. Just something that's reliable.
Edit: UK and US

Hello,
I recently thought about going to Android since my friend got an S25 and I love it. I don’t know if I will switch from Apple, especially because I got the whole Apple products collection in Poland and idk if it’s worth it. I’ve got AirPods, an Apple Watch, iPad, iPhone and other stuff. I don’t know if I want to get the S25 or the S26 tho.
Can anyone help me please? Thank you
