Google Ads Two leads last week, one this week

That's a 50% drop in conversions which looks pretty bad in a Friday report until you remember the account only gets five or six leads in a whole month doesn't stop the red arrow from turning into a discussion about new headlines, changing the bidding strategy or whether the landing page needs rebuilding. Maybe something is wrong but one missing form submission hasn't told you much.

The annoying part with smaller accounts is that you still have to check everything search terms tracking, where the money went, whether the leads were even worth anything and sometimes there's a real problem hiding in there and sometimes you're staring at a tiny sample size pretending it's a trend. And telling someone who's paying you to manage their ads that you looked through the account and decided not to change anything is a pretty awkward conversation so nobody really wants to hear that on a Friday call.

Hiring Senior Paid Media Strategist: Meta + Google, E-commerce, Agency. Remote, $100K+, Benefits. Start ASAP

I'm hiring at a fast-growing ad agency. We need a senior paid media strategist in the seat ASAP. If you can start next Monday, great. If you're employed, a standard 2-week notice is fine.

Full-time: Remote, $120K+ + benefits**

What you need to be great at

  • Meta Ads. This is the big one. You've run and scaled e-commerce accounts with real budgets, and creative testing is second nature to you.
  • Google Ads. Search, Shopping and PMax, at the same senior level.
  • E-commerce. You know DTC and how ad spend turns into revenue.
  • Agency work. You can run multiple clients at a fast pace.
  • AI. You use it in your daily workflow and it actually saves you time.

Nice to have: TikTok Ads, plus any other platforms you can bring.

Who can apply

  • Full-time: US-based only. If you're outside the US, please don't apply for this one.
  • Contract (part-time, hourly): open to people with native-level English in North or South America who work U.S. hours.

Black Friday / Cyber Monday help

We're also bringing on short-term senior help for BFCM. If you have bandwidth for the next few weeks, reach out.

How to apply

DM me your resume and LinkedIn profile, plus:

  1. Your Meta and Google experience (monthly spend levels, verticals)
  2. One e-commerce account you scaled, and how you did it
  3. Full-time, contract or BFCM only
  4. Your location, when you can start, and your rate or salary range

Questions before applying are welcome too.

FAQ

How do I apply?
If you need more info about the role, the job listing or the agency, message me first. Otherwise, DM me your resume and LinkedIn profile.

I'm outside the U.S. Can I apply?
Not for the full-time role. It's U.S.-based only, no exceptions.

I'm in Southeast Asia. Can you hire me for the contractor role?
No. Contractors need to be in North or South America and work U.S. hours.

I want to intern or work for free. Will you hire me?
No. We're heading into Black Friday/Cyber Monday and don't have time to train anyone. This is a senior role for people who can run accounts on day one.

Is the role remote?
Yes, fully remote.

What agency/where is the job listing?
I don't want it tied to my main Reddit account, but I'll share the agency name and job listing by DM. Just ask, no resume needed first. I make the hiring decision and you'd report directly to me. We're a 50-person, award-winning boutique agency, mostly ecom clients spending $100K to $2M per month each.

Google Ads Fairly new to PPC. Drop tROAS and run Max Conversion Value until there's enough data for a realistic target?

I'm still fairly new to paid media, so I'd appreciate a sanity check from people with more experience.
I recently took over a UK ecommerce Google Ads account. There are around 10 small Search campaigns on tROAS, and most of the targets are 200 to 400 points above what they're actually hitting. A few examples:

Target 700%, actual ~310%
Target 550%, actual ~350%
Target 450%, actual ~355%

Each campaign only gets 3 to 8 conversions a month, and they're all limited by budget. I'm planning to consolidate them into one campaign, which should get to around 40 conversions a month.

My plan is to switch to Max Conversion Value with no target for a few weeks, let it build up conversion data, and then set a tROAS based on what it's actually achieving.

Would you go that route, or just lower the existing targets to match actual ROAS and keep tROAS on? And how many conversions a month would you want before adding a target back?

Google Ads stop letting google auto generate your pmax videos. ours were costing us

cpa down 19% and conversion value per cost up 27%, all from making our own 6 second cuts.

running performance max for a regional furniture store, about 15k a momth.

for a year we let google auto generate the video assets from our images. they were... fine. sliding photos with music.

last quarter we made our own 6 second cuts:

- real product footage shot on an iphone in the showroom

- one "in your home" scene per product, generated on dreamina from the product photo, basically free. it sometimes changed the sofa fabric, which matters a lot for furniture, so we only kept the ones that matched exactly

- headline written as one line, tested 5 versions from chatgpt

results over 8 weeks vs the auto assets:

- video asset performance rating went from "low" to "best" on 9 of 12

- conversion value per cost up 27%

- cpa down 19%

nothing fancy. just stop letting the platform make your video for you.

anyone else seen the same with pmax video?

Hiring Hiring: Google Ads specialist for a B2B SaaS targeting Shopify sellers in India

We’re an early-stage startup looking for a Google Ads specialist to run our first paid acquisition campaigns.

What we do
We’ve built an AI agent for Indian Shopify and D2C sellers that reduces failed COD deliveries. It calls and messages buyers in their own language (Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and more) to confirm orders, verify addresses and remind them before delivery. Sellers set it up through a chat in a few minutes. Less RTO, more delivered orders.

Who we’re targeting
Shopify and D2C brand owners in India doing 500+ COD orders a month, especially in fashion, beauty and home categories.

What we need

  • Account setup, conversion tracking and GA4/Shopify integration
  • Search campaigns on high-intent keywords (RTO, COD verification, NDR management, etc.)
  • Weekly reporting with CPL and cost per demo booked
  • Ongoing optimisation for the first 3 months, with room to extend

Budget

  • Ad spend: ₹50,000 to ₹75,000 per month to start
  • Management fee: open to fixed monthly or performance-based, share your model

Nice to have

  • Experience with B2B SaaS or Shopify app marketing
  • Familiarity with the Indian e-commerce/logistics space

If interested, DM me with a short intro, 1 or 2 relevant accounts you’ve managed, and your pricing.

Google Ads Small UK tree surgery business struggling to get consistent enquiries – looking for honest local SEO advice

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

Me and my brother started a small tree surgery and landscaping business in January 2026 called Branchard Tree & Landscapes Services Ltd.

We're based around Rugby, Warwickshire, in the UK, and we're trying to build the business and get more consistent customer enquiries.

We've got a website, Google Business Profile, Facebook and Instagram, but we're struggling to get a steady flow of enquiries. Some weeks we get a few, and other weeks we barely get anything.

I'm trying to learn more about SEO, local SEO, Google Ads and digital marketing, but there's so much conflicting information online that I'm not really sure where to focus.

I'd really appreciate some honest advice from anyone experienced in SEO or marketing for local service businesses.

A few things I'd particularly like help with:

  • Improving our Google rankings when people search for tree surgeons in our area.
  • Optimising our Google Business Profile to appear more often on Google Maps.
  • Understanding what could be improved on our website to generate more enquiries.
  • Knowing whether Google Ads would be worth investing in on a small budget.
  • Understanding what marketing activities would make the biggest difference for a relatively new business.

I'm not looking for shortcuts or guaranteed rankings. I genuinely want to learn how to do things properly and build the business long-term.

If anyone would be willing to offer some advice or point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Google Ads Need help to to analyze the business beyond campaign metrics

Hey all, looking for advice from people who’ve moved beyond analyzing everything through Google/Meta dashboards.

I’ve been in PPC for years, but working on a marketplace has exposed a gap for me. LTV, margins, repeat purchases, new vs returning customers, order values, attribution windows, channel mix… I get the concepts individually, but everything affects everything else, and I sometimes get lost trying to connect it all.

I can analyze campaigns. What I want to get better at is stepping back, understanding how the business is doing, figuring out what’s driving it, and then using that to judge channels and campaigns.

Where did you learn that kind of analysis? Any courses, books, people worth following, or practical ways to build the skill?

Not looking for another “10 PPC metrics you should track” article lol. More interested in how you structure your thinking, what you investigate first, and how you turn messy data into actual business and budget decisions.

Would love to hear what helped things click for you.

ALSO, if anyone offers 1:1 consulting and would be up for walking through my actual numbers with me, I’d happily pay for a session. I’d love to understand how you approach the analysis and learn from the process.

Thanks all!

Discussion Any experience with Trybe or related services? What's your best way to get UGC?

Almost all the reddit threads for Trybe are by creators, not brands, so it's hard to get a bead on it. We are extremely limited on video content. Last time we got UGC content it was through an agency and the whole process seemed expensive and had a lot of overhead.

I'd love some suggestions on what has been effective for others. My company has one graphic designer and that's it, so anything to help with creative production would great. My company is extremely against ai image & video so that is not an option.
