Slater A.I Slop = Permanent Ban
A.I slop will result in a permanent ban.
Worth this being stickied so users have a fair warning of such a consequence.
Regards,
Chief Inspector Slater.

discussion Miami Twice Archive Extended.
Morning dipsticks, as some of you might know I'm making extended episodes with lost archive footage.
Now the thing with Miami twice is that the VHS version includes probably an extra 15 to 20 minutes worth of footage not in any other release. I'm just wondering what would people prefer?
The extended dvd release with lost archive footage is finished, but would people still like to see an even further extended version with the VHS footage in as well?
The only issue I've found (other than the VHS quality because its shocking) is that the aspect ratio is not a normal form (4:3, 16:9 ect) I can get it all into 4:3 but this makes it zoomed in a little which isn't really an issue but the real issue is the quality. There's a noticeable difference (which is expected) from the VHS to dvd/archive footage, so for some this might dampen the watching experience.
What's everyone's thoughts? I'm happy to make two separate versions, with and without VHS footage and upload them to internet archive but if nobody wants it then I might as well not waste time and just upload the normal dvd release with archive stuff.

Help. A scene I never and still don’t get.
When Elvis says, all that data that was on your screen, well it’s on mine now etc etc.
Was Rodney working at the wrong desk and forgot - I can’t figure out another explanation. Thanks in advance

picture Diamonds are for heather Easter egg
I've only just noticed after 25 years that the retractable Christmas tree from the unaired special "Christmas trees" is seen in the flat in this episode. Has anyone else noticed this?

Characters on 'the old Rock N Roll'.
I wonder why there wasn't really any characters subsisting solely on benefits. Denzil was briefly, the wages were lousy but the hours suited him. Lennox 'The Shadow' Gilby signed on, but I mean main characters. It stands out especially during the era of 'Maggie's Millions' with 4 million people on the dole. I suppose a deliberate choice by John Sullivan, anyone heard anything about this?

discussion Episode 2 was scraping the barrel
I feel like i have seen all the lost footage that thry boasted in episode 2. Ther reused a lot of clips from episode 1 too. Still nice to see interviews with cast but thats the only new footage really.
Really trying to spread a tiny bit of butter over a big slice of bread as bilbo would say.

Lost archive: Time on our hands
Just watched a deleted scene from 'Time On Our Hands', Raquel dresses down Rodney for being in the pub every night, leaving Cassie at home alone. It's a good scene, but my FAVOURITE aspect (that wasn't mentioned in the lost archive show) is there in the background - the Maxwell House Coffee and the Oxo gravy granuals - Clearly placed there to hint at what happens later on with Albert. Brilliant!

Boycie and Marlene
Only Fools and Horses fans could be treated to more unseen footage of John Challis and Sue Holderness, with a documentary filmed just weeks before John’s death being offered to broadcasters.
The pair, who gave us so many laughs as Boycie and Marlene, sat down together to talk about their time on the show for A Marriage Made in Peckham.
Filmmaker Lazar Vukovic, who also made Boycie in Belgrade, says he has more than four hours of footage of John and Sue discussing the comedy. He believes it could be made into a two-hour special or a two-part series.
Speaking to The Sun, Lazar said: “This was the last time John stepped in front of a camera, and he spent it doing what he did best — making people laugh alongside Sue.”
He added that they had wanted to wait for the right moment and were now looking for a broadcaster to give the documentary a home.
John’s first appearance as Boycie came in the second episode of Only Fools and Horses, with Sue joining the cast as Marlene four years later. Their characters went on to become such favourites that they were given their own spin-off, The Green Green Grass.
There’s no broadcast confirmed yet, but after enjoying The Lost Archive, the chance to see John and Sue talking about their years together is something many fans would love.

discussion Archive Extended Episodes Underway
Recently a few of you may have seen that I posted about making extended episodes. Well I just wanted to give you an update. The good news is I have been able to cut all the lost archive clips from the first episode which comprise of
Royal Flush
Chain Gang
Jolly Boys Outing
Class of 62
Royal flush is finished as it only had the one scene. I am working on the rest over the next couple of days and when they are finished I will figure out what I'm going to do with them regarding distribution. I don't want to get DCMA takedowned so possibly an upload to the internet archive.
I do want to make it absolutely clear that I am not profiting from this in any way, nor do I want to. I'm doing this purely for the love of the show. I just wanted to be able to experience these episodes as completely as possible as we all do.
I'm hoping I'm only doing this as a temporary measure and that the BBC gives us a full uncut release ect.

discussion Rodney and his "parents"
Currently watching Fatal Exctraction, when Rodney tells rhe tale about Del getting straight A's etc.
Then goes on to say how his dad was upset and his mum was screaming at them not to fight....
Did John Sullivan just not bother with the whole back story plot about Rodney not knowing his mum, and only meeting his father once when he showed up in Thicker Than Water??

Is "Del Boy falls through the bar" the most overrated scene in the show?
I didn't even realise it was an all time great scene until I saw it on a million "best TV moments" programs.
The way he leans isn't even natural so it kills the joke for me.
What do you think of the scene?
