Hail citizens. The battle to get here was less than thrilling. It involved constant running around and mace swinging. But I knew there wasn’t anything else to fear once we got the amulet. Even Pally and Dro’Nahrahe were like “everything’s done.” Even they can’t believe this guy wants to “fight” us. I almost died of embarrassment though. Was a close match.

I've been playing for about 7 hours now, and it takes me like 3 dozen sword slashes to kill a mage. Don't even get me started on those triceratops looking things. Why does it take so many hits to kill a single enemy. Is my gear wrong? I've just been using silver dagger and one-handed katana. I am playing on default difficulty. The game shouldn't be this difficult.

Came out of the great gate and looked to see how many soldiers were lost, besides one Bruma militia member I found both Baurus and Jauffre laying near a portal entrance.

Made this tribute in my house, with Baurus’s Akviri Katana and Jauffres blades helmet. Was genuinely a bit gutted to find them dead when I never realised they could die like this.

I’m on PlayStation playing the remastered. For whatever reason the Skull Of Corruption glitch doesnt work on PS5 without Shivering Isle Flesh spell and I can’t do that questline yet for LARP reasons lol.

So instead what I’ve now done is I’ve cloned myself and then killed the clone to loot Necromancer’s Amulet from myself.

However I am now stuck on how to proceed. If I turn in the Amulet to Traven won’t he take both? Should I turn in the Amulet then come back for my body- but does the clone keep the previous inventory I had at the time of being cloned?

Despite the awful optimization of the game and the devs giving up on it and never patching (and probably never will) and crashing over 20 times (I stopped counting after the 20th).....

THIS GAME IS STILL A MASTERPIECE. The original came out in 2006 and was way ahead of its time, and the remaster still holds true.

Great story, fun gameplay and an enjoyable experience. Oblivion is my favorite elder scrolls

10/10 Game, Now time to wait another 15 years for Elder Scrolls 6!

I know they fixed the leveling but I’m primarily worried about making my main combat/magic skills major skills and leveling too quickly. I don’t want to become too op too fast, but also don’t want to fall behind and struggle to level those skills when i need to.

I am wondering if making my weapon skills minor will result in them leveling too slowly?

Would appreciate any tips!

Who said that the Construction Set is impossible to bring back for the remaster? Let me show you another early look at a map/asset editor tool we're working on. It's pre-alpha and rough right now, but we wanted to show where it's heading week by week.

What builders are doing with it is the part I enjoy even more to share. Yannök, a server owner and builder, is working on an Oblivion MMO project on OB:MP. Here's what he's shown so far:

• An MMO-style chat with a semi-transparent chatbox and multiple channels.
• A mail UI with a system where players can trade, send messages, items and gold. His auction house also uses it to deliver purchased items and gold from sales.
• A quick skill bar inspired by TESO working with his gameplay mechanics.

Quite possibly the most cringe post I've ever made byt when oblivion released when I was 9, Me and my friends (who were only aware of the game through me and watching me play) would go around and level up our "skills", like athletics and acrobatics lol. I would even bring magic tricks for "illusion" training.

Probably my best memories of it was playing in large culverts and drainage tunnels under the road, which was so reminiscent of those sewers you escape from in oblivion. Pretending to fight rats, etc.

Im sure this isnt a unique phenomena but the game had such an incredible amount of whimsy and mystery, it bled into real life for me.

Its honestly amazing how big of an impression this game has on people, even today.

I've been reloading my save right before grabbing the sigil so many times now I've lost count just trying to chameleon. I've gotten everything else but chameleon. Is it a super rare drop or is my rng just that bad?

I've played what seems like every major RPG except Elder Scrolls. Super excited to experience this for the first time.

Now I heard you can be a necromancer in this game and I haven't been able to play as one since Dark Alliance 2.

Is it possible to become a heavy weapon/armor knight that can also become a necromancer or do I have to basically stay in one build the entire time? If I can be both, what class should I start with? Breton is what I'm thinking rn

I am personally not a fan of the Remastered Oblivion's changed artstyle. The original textures look great, and I think they can only be improved further with better lighting.

The endgoal of this mod is to accomplish everything Remastered sets out to do. Farther draw distance, improved graphics (via raytracing and surface relief to textures), full detail models at all distances so things like the white gold tower won't have a low detail mesh from afar, etc. Also fixing a lot of original 2009 steam edition issues that caused hitches and random game crashes.

Currently it works by passing through the original 32bit game to a 64 bit Vulkan client, which is what allows implementation of DLSS and higher memory limits.
