Her amulet was inside a dusty coffin. At least we beat back the marauders, no thanks to Pally’s antics.
So let me get this straight Kalthar. You stole an amulet, braved a dungeon and other monster and men, and risked everything. Just to get a promotion? Now you want to fight me and my pals? Do you even see the gear we have on!?
You should have joined the fighters guild you got this all backwards!
Oh well, to me my scampies!
Hail citizens. The battle to get here was less than thrilling. It involved constant running around and mace swinging. But I knew there wasn’t anything else to fear once we got the amulet. Even Pally and Dro’Nahrahe were like “everything’s done.” Even they can’t believe this guy wants to “fight” us. I almost died of embarrassment though. Was a close match.

I’m on PlayStation playing the remastered. For whatever reason the Skull Of Corruption glitch doesnt work on PS5 without Shivering Isle Flesh spell and I can’t do that questline yet for LARP reasons lol.
So instead what I’ve now done is I’ve cloned myself and then killed the clone to loot Necromancer’s Amulet from myself.
However I am now stuck on how to proceed. If I turn in the Amulet to Traven won’t he take both? Should I turn in the Amulet then come back for my body- but does the clone keep the previous inventory I had at the time of being cloned?

Missed this game soooo much

I've been playing for about 7 hours now, and it takes me like 3 dozen sword slashes to kill a mage. Don't even get me started on those triceratops looking things. Why does it take so many hits to kill a single enemy. Is my gear wrong? I've just been using silver dagger and one-handed katana. I am playing on default difficulty. The game shouldn't be this difficult.

I know they fixed the leveling but I’m primarily worried about making my main combat/magic skills major skills and leveling too quickly. I don’t want to become too op too fast, but also don’t want to fall behind and struggle to level those skills when i need to.
I am wondering if making my weapon skills minor will result in them leveling too slowly?
Would appreciate any tips!

Stick to the plan guys!
We finally had a chance to get the drop on the baddies but Pally had other plans. He pulled a Leeroy Jenkins…
Hail citizens. I had a great opportunity to have Pally just fly in his style pulling a Leeroy Jenkins. The way he just slowly flies in haphazardly was perfect. He also went off the bridge. Now we have to fix this mess. Here we go…

Despite the awful optimization of the game and the devs giving up on it and never patching (and probably never will) and crashing over 20 times (I stopped counting after the 20th).....
THIS GAME IS STILL A MASTERPIECE. The original came out in 2006 and was way ahead of its time, and the remaster still holds true.
Great story, fun gameplay and an enjoyable experience. Oblivion is my favorite elder scrolls
10/10 Game, Now time to wait another 15 years for Elder Scrolls 6!

Came out of the great gate and looked to see how many soldiers were lost, besides one Bruma militia member I found both Baurus and Jauffre laying near a portal entrance.
Made this tribute in my house, with Baurus’s Akviri Katana and Jauffres blades helmet. Was genuinely a bit gutted to find them dead when I never realised they could die like this.

Hey r/oblivion - Msk here again from the team building OB:MP, a community multiplayer mod and platform for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
The revamped OB:MP website is live: https://obmp.readym.io/
It explains what OB:MP is, how to get started, and where to download the latest build. OB:MP is also on NexusMods now, so you can grab it there too: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/5733
Who said that the Construction Set is impossible to bring back for the remaster? Let me show you another early look at a map/asset editor tool we're working on. It's pre-alpha and rough right now, but we wanted to show where it's heading week by week.
What builders are doing with it is the part I enjoy even more to share. Yannök, a server owner and builder, is working on an Oblivion MMO project on OB:MP. Here's what he's shown so far:
If you want to play, grab the build from the site or Nexus. If you want to run or build a server, the Docs page is the best place to start: https://docs.ready.mp/oblivion-mp/docs/Server/installation
OB:MP needs the Steam version of Oblivion Remastered for now, and Linux support via Proton works, but it is experimental. Xbox Game Pass / Windows Store support is coming next weeks!

I've played what seems like every major RPG except Elder Scrolls. Super excited to experience this for the first time.
Now I heard you can be a necromancer in this game and I haven't been able to play as one since Dark Alliance 2.
Is it possible to become a heavy weapon/armor knight that can also become a necromancer or do I have to basically stay in one build the entire time? If I can be both, what class should I start with? Breton is what I'm thinking rn

Note: I am biased in reviewing this game as nostalgia plays a big part in the fact that this is also my favourite game of all time. That said, ive been playing it for 20 years now and can't get enough of it. That must say something.
Oblivion... What an incredible masterpiece of a game this is. I think it deserves a spot in the top-lists of all time games for a number of reasons. And while i see it get praised a lot online, i still truly believe that Oblivion is underrated. Let's talk about this in an organised way.
The gameplay is actually one of the lesser points in the game, and something that would normaly cause me to give the game a few less points in my review stars to be honest. But as i said, the fact that i'm biased changes that for me. The combat is not amazing, but you can make it really funny if you'd want. It's core bethesda gameplay for you there. It's neither satisfying nor particularly challenging, and the difficulty of the game mostly just changes how tanky an enemy is. The combat really lacks some enemies with specific points to keep in mind. However let's not forget this game is from 2006. That said, The rest of the gameplay is practically perfect. There's no real content you'd rather skip in my opinion. The writing is amazing and you feel like there's a lot (but not too much) to do all the time.
The world itself might be the magic of this game. Elder Scrolls games have a way of rewarding exploration with content, but not rewards. You just want to go out and about to see what happens in the world, on the roads and in the city's. To be fair, the dungeon design is somewhat repetative and simple. But still packed with Tamriel lore to dive into, making it engaging anyway. The sense of freedom and advanture is might be best done in Elder Scrolls games in my opinion, because of the way the world moves arround you. And the NPC behavior in Oblivion (while joked about a lot nowadays) was really innovative back in 2006.
I think the story is the best out of all the series, the game makes you a side-hero that might actually be the hero in a way. But it doesn't make you the main person to save the world. Yet still, you save the world in this story. I love the way Oblivion's story is simple yet catching. If you don't know much about the lore of these games you will learn it allong the way. I also like how there's real memorable characters that might matter to you. The fact that Uriel Septim, Marin Septim and Mankar Camoran are voiced by specific voice-actors make them real strong characters i feel like Skyrim's story actually missed. You just feel like you're part of a story, and even though you do mostly everything the game does not give you the idea you're the only hero in the story.
Now, the skill system is one i could write a whole article about. Let's be honest, it doesn't really work well. The character building in this game is a strange and complex system that fails even for its time. And really needed the simplification that Skyrim brought upon it. But still, the fact that you get the option to become the character you play is a great way of extorting freedom upon a player. I think the game lacks more unique equipment sets (apart from enchanted sets). Your in-game choices matter little, only for the fame/infamy mechanic. The skills of course also rely too much on grinding... Which fits its system so it works, but i dislike it anyway. I don't want to spam a conjuring spell 100 times and waiting an hour to refill magica to become better at it. Just using it normaly should be enough, but it really isn't in this game. Maybe other training quests or mechanics could have been nice.
The presentation & atmosphere is where this game really becomes one of the strongest. Cyrodill feels like Cyrodill. All corners of the world feel like an amazing, unique location. The graphics were amazing for its time. I remember how innovative it felt as a kid. Of course, the character faces aren't the best, but we all know that. Now, the game is a bethesda game. So it might have its fair share of bug & crashes, but that's something we've gotten used to in the series. I can't imagine how TES VI would be if not for a very buggy launch... And then waiting for the Unnoficial ... Patch coming out to actually be able to enjoy the game to its fullest. And of course, the music. I believe Oblivion has the best OST of any game ever made. And i will stand for it. But besides that fact that it sounds amazing and is really well produced. It sits amazing within the world, which might be the most important part most OST's miss.
The enjoyment & replayablity are just the most perfect piece of the puzzle. When you're in it, you're in it. The game really asks to get addicted to. It wants you to explore every inch of the game and all of its content to the fullest. The fact that this game is still played 20 years later just tells me you can keep coming back to this game. I know i do. You can try different playstyles and builds, or experiment with the thousands of mods the community has been providing over the years. I'm not a big modder myself, and if i play games modded i mostly do with small QOL mods to enhance the experience to my own liking. But this game is (just like with the whole series) just known for its modding community. And the fact that a game with so many hours of content still provides more through modding makes it an endlessly replayable masterpiece.
Overall, this game is just the one. The feeling this game gives me, the enjoyment of exploration and lore-delving scratch my itch. I could play this game for even more than the hundreds of hours i already did. For a 2006 game, it just amazes me how much content and the quality of the content that's thrown at you. And also, how many interesing and unique mechanics this game has to keep things engaging. This is the best game of all time in my opinion, even with its flaws. Because it brings you things i've never seen another game bring.

Hey all, I hope you're having a good day.
Long story short, I've been going through a journey of translating Oblivion into Greek. This has been going on for a month and I'd like to say it's going great. I have already translated over 600+ lines of dialogue and the file has 23 thousand lines. However the form with which I reached this point isn't one I'm proud of.
I'm tech illiterate. Barely know the basics about code and even then, whilst I am learning, I still find it very hard. So the only way I had of extracting the dialogue from TES4Edit was through AI, not a method I like but without finding any concrete sources as to how to do this task, I gave in.
I want help, as the title stated. I don't want the work I put up so far to be blindly dependent on an artificial intelligence's guess of what the task I want to do is and even if I HAVE to I want to make sure that I have something that is truly functional.
If anyone is willing to check out "my" work or at the very least give me pointers as to how to achieve my goal you have no idea how much I would appreciate it. I want to learn more and even if you only got criticism or sources to check up on, I WILL check them. I eventually want to make this into something bigger than just translating Oblivion so your guidance is necessary.
Thank you for reading!

It was a little quiet… too quiet. Wasn’t anything we couldn’t handle however. Even the scamps came out just fine! Tis but a scratch. At least all this loot will come in handy for some of the folks in Leyawiin. These mercenaries are surprisingly well armed. Let’s see what else we can find.
Hail citizens. Nothing bad happened to my scamps as you can see. All of them were fine at the end! They’re really good at distracting the enemy and maybe us too. Hopefully they can help me carry all this loot back with us. Still have to find Dagail’s amulet and then we’ll get to join the university! Oh, and help incite a rebellion in Leyawiin, that too!
