Welcome to OCP -- PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

TL;DR You need to give feedback on two other poems before you can share your own poem, and then put links to that feedback in your post. If you don't know how to give feedback, read the guide. Reusing feedback links will result in a ban.

Heyo, welcome to OCpoetry. (That’s “original content” if you don’t know). This is a place for sharing and getting feedback on your own poems. We are the sister subreddit of r/Poetry, which is for sharing and discussing published poetry. Our goal is to create a place where anyone can learn to become a better creative writer, kind of like a free online writer's workshop.

This post is an orientation to the subreddit. If you’re new, read this before sharing your work. If you’re less new, then read this anyways, as it has a few changes to how we've done things in the past. If you’ve still got questions after reading this post, please send a modmail. There are some FAQs at the end of this post which will be updated as we go. We also have a huge and very disorganized wiki containing all of our resources, essays on how to write poetry and historic writing prompts, I recommend you check it out.

So, here’s basically how it works:

This subreddit works on a pay-it-forward system. If you want to share a poem, you need to give feedback to two others from this subreddit. This ensures that everyone gets some readers and hears some response, rather than just shouting their verses into the void. If you don’t think you’re up to writing feedback for others just yet, we recommend you check out r/Justpoetry or r/Poems, where there are no requirements for sharing your work.

1. All posts must include two links to recent feedback.

Every post must contain two unique links to your comments where you have provided feedback on this subreddit within the past two weeks. Feedback links cannot be reused for multiple post or reposts of old poems. All posts without feedback links will be removed, without notice by our subreddit robot so make sure they are included in your initial post -- you cannot post with the intent to add them later.

But, how do I get the links to my feedback comments?

That kind of depends on what platform you're on. If you're on desktop or on a third-party mobile app, there should be a 'share' or 'permalink' link underneath every comment on Reddit. Clicking on that should give you a unique URL to your comment. Just copy + paste that into the body of your post.

If you're on the official Reddit app, you'll have to click 'share' on the comment and choose the 'Copy URL' option, paste that into your notes with the body of your poem. Then copy and paste the entire thing into a new post on the Reddit app.

2. At least one of your comments should be on a poem that has received no other comments.

This ensures that everyone has a chance to get a few reads and hopefully some decent feedback. If for whatever reason you can’t find any lonely poems, then comment on the poem that seems to have received the least amount of feedback. The easiest way to do this is to sort posts by new.

3. Feedback must be high-effort.

High-effort means different things to different people. It does not mean “super long” or “expert quality”. But it does mean doing more than the bare minimum.

You don't have to complement, criticize, or try to figure out the "deeper meaning". You should try to notice your own reactions and explain them as best as you can. If you want to explain your interpretation or summary of the piece, you can and this is often helpful to the writer. If the poem made you laugh or cry, feel bored, confused or nostalgic — say so, and then explain why you think it did. A good rule of thumb is that each of your feedback comments should be at least a short paragraph.

We understand that giving other writers feedback on their creative work can feel a bit artificial or uncomfortable, if you’ve never done it before. That’s why we’ve written a feedback guide for beginners. There are more feedback guides linked in the FAQ below. You should also read some of the other feedback comments around the sub to get a feel for what works for others. Poems that link to low-effort feedback, and low-effort comments themselves, will be removed at mod discretion, or if you report it to us. However, we’re less interested in policing you and more interested in helping you grow as readers and writers. We are more likely to ask you follow-up questions, than remove your work entirely. The mods skulk the comments sections and will ask follow-up questions on comments that seem a little thin, and please answer those questions if you get any.

4. Please Be Kind.

Treat each other with kindness and respect. The mods have an incredibly strict definition for each of these concepts. We will proactively remove comments and poems and ban users that make others feel unwelcome or unsafe. Your right to creative expression does not extend to poetry that promotes misogyny, homo/trans/queerphobia, racism, etc. If your poetry’s especially violent or covers sensitive subjects, please label it with the NSFW tag or a content warning in the title. Harsh criticism is allowed -- encouraged, really -- as long as you’re being harsh on the poem, not the person. Remember that the narrator (or the “speaker”) of the poem is not necessarily the author.

5. Audio, video, and image poems are allowed; but the text of the poem must be included in the body of the post.

This is so that people can still enjoy your poem if they're unable to view or listen to your link for whatever reason.

6. You may include a link to your poetry blog at the end of your post.

Or your instagram, or your personal creative project, or your soundcloud, or your Etsy page. As long as it's poetry-adjacent that's cool with us. Just don't get spammy.

Attempting to dodge any of these rules, or abuse directed towards moderators enforcing these rules, will earn you an immediate ban.

FAQs

What do the Poem & Workshop flairs do?

They simply allow you to show your intentions and expectations for the piece you are posting. The Poem flair is for sharing a piece, with the expectation of receiving mostly surface-level feedback and general advice. The Workshop flair is for a piece that you really want to work on, something you want to pick apart and analyse. It signals that you are open to discussing the piece, and that you invite strong critique.

How do I format my poetry on Reddit?

The following is advice for formatting in Markdown. Two spaces at the end of a line gives you a line break.
Type two spaces at the end of a line, then hit enter twice for a stanza break.

Three dashes "___" will give you a line through the post.

Type two spaces to create an empty line,

so you can get lines

that look like this.

Four spaces before each line will allow you
to format however you like, this is 'code block'
       in the Fancy Pants editor.

one asterisk before and after a piece of text will give you italics, two asterisks for bold.

Can I print one of these poems out/use it on my instagram with my art/put it in my book?

Ask the author. Part of what makes this space a useful workshop space is that everyone feels safe to share their stuff; if people start using poetry without the author's permission, or god forbid, trying to pass off another artist's work as their own, the userbase of this sub will feel less safe to do so. Please, ask the author, and then do what they say.

I'm thinking about trying to get my poem published somewhere. What should I do?

The standard thing is to find a literary journal. There are a zillion literary journals and magazines all over the world. They have different themes, tastes, styles, audiences, readerships, levels of prestige. Some charge fees for submission, some do not, some will pay you if you get accepted, some don't, some will give you feedback, some won't let you know anything for months. So first you'll want to pick a few of your poems, get some feedback from some trusted readers (or from here, of course) and then start looking for a journal that's a good home for your work. Most lit journals have submissions periods where they accept all the work for their next issue, and then sift through everything they get.

You will probably get a lot of rejections. This is normal. It's kind of a numbers game. You can submit the same poem to multiple journals as long as the journal says something like "simultaneous submissions are allowed". If you do get accepted, congrats! Most journals want 'first publication rights' or 'first serial rights' or something similar, so that means you'll have to tell all the other journals you submitted that poem to that you've been published elsewhere. (For that reason we strongly recommend deleting your poem from reddit if you want to submit it to a journal -- technically and legally speaking, writing a post on reddit is still considered publishing your work, and reddit owns all the text on the site.)

Here are some places to get you started looking for journals:

Duotrope and Submittable are two apps that help you search for journals, and help you track what poems you've submitted to which places. Submittable is free, Duotrope is not. They are GREAT.

Poets & Writers has a list of lit journals, small presses, and writing contests. This is a great place to start. They also have a newsletter listing all the presses and journals going into their submissions period.

I'd also check out r/literarycontests, if you fancy yourself as a prize winning poet.

A few poetry podcasts

I thought I might include a few podcasts that helped me learn a little more about the history and craft of poetry, as well as find some good poets to read. All of these are available on Spotify, as well as many other platforms.

The New Yorker Poetry Podcast

A poet reading and discussing a poem from the New Yorker archives, as well as one of their own pieces. A great place to find good poetry and hear some discussion of craft. The earlier episodes are with Paul Muldoon, who is delightful.

The Faber Poetry Podcast

Two poets read and discuss their work, with plenty of talk about craft. As well as lots of poems sent in from authors across the world. They really get shoulder-deep into it, which is always wonderful to hear.

In Our Time

A group of experts are brought together to discuss a subject over forty-five minutes. This isn’t strictly a poetry podcast, but there are hundreds of episodes on poets and poems of the past. I highly recommend the episode on The Green Knight with Simon Armitage.

Poetry Contest PROMPT: Rattle Ekphrastic Challenge, October 2026

Hi everyone. One of the OCPoetry mods here. Let's share a prompt for the whole subreddit. (If this looks familiar, we did it last month too.)

Every month Rattle, a leading poetry magazine, presents a visual work of art and asks poets to respond to that artwork in poetry. This is called ekphrastic poetry. I thought it would be fun to post that here for anyone looking for inspiration or a challenge.

Here is this month's artwork. Your challenge is to write a poem in response to that art.

Normal feedback rules do not apply to this thread. Write and share as many poems in response to that artwork as you'd like.

Also, if you feel like you've written something really excellent, you should know that Rattle DOES allow you to submit poems to them for publication that have appeared in online forums. (Most magazines consider those already published; Rattle allows internet-shared poems as long as they're "uncurated," i.e., haven't gone through an editorial process. I can assure you that here on OCPoetry we do not have any kind of editorial process.) So if you're feeling particularly ambitious, you can use that link above to submit your poem to them. It's a long shot — they get hundreds of entries every month, maybe thousands at this point idk, and only two are selected — but it's good practice if you're thinking about getting into publication and can manage the mixture of pride in your work and almost certainty of rejection that goes into the literary magazine publication process.

Anyway, enjoy the challenge! I hope you have fun. If enough people enjoy this I can make it a regular thing.

Just Sharing I am a Fraud

I am not a good man,

I am not even a sane man.

I cheat, I lie, I forge, I manipulate, I cry, I weep.

At each night, i don't know how I sleep.

Sometimes I feel like a leech,

Living off host, sucking their lives.

Sometimes I feel like a saint,

Not with a blessing of knowledge,

But a curse of cunning genius.

I pretend to the world that I am better.

But inside, I know:

That isn't who I am. That isn't reality.

At the end of the day, it's all hokum.

Sometimes I feel like i don't deserve

What I aim to achieve,

What I received, what I'm entitled to.

I don't know how I sleep at night.

I don't know what I am.

I don't know what I deserve.

I don't know what I am doing.

But at end, i can say for sure:

I am a fraud, I am a fraud.

I want to return to the purity.

Just Sharing Fly Higher - from 'when Life takes a turn'

Hello,

I'm new here. I've recently published my own poetry collections book called 'when life takes a turn' by T.B Ash. The book can be found on: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HP5S3RXP

I'm sharing one of the poems, called Fly Higher (from page 7):

Fly Higher

I know how high I can fly.

Or at least,

I used to.

You tell me

I'm not good enough,

that I won't survive

the outside world.

You want it that way.

I'm a bird

trapped in a tiny cage.

I want to fly away,

to soar high above it all.

But everytime I try,

you cut down my wings.

Feedback Please The Queen Beneath the Boughs

For those upon the fruitful throne,

We hear beneath the olden stone.

“Sing softly, sisters, of the green,

Of elder roots and crowns unseen.”

When spring awoke in silver shoots,

The orchards bowed with boughs of fruit;

The barley rose, the apples swelled

And overflowing were the wells.

Rivers flowed, from whence unseen

What mortal loss fills evergreen?

The grove would reach the heavens’ door

Their roots dug deeper, evermore

The Queen wore blossoms in her hair,

And took her husbands, fair and fair;

His name was sung, his cup was raised,

His banner hung, his memory praised.

But when the boughs grew bright with bloom,

A cradle stirred within the room.

The court would feast, the bells would ring,

And all the fields would wake to spring.

But hush, my sisters, hush the hall;

The oldest trees remember all.

Their hollow hearts, their knotted hands,

Know what is owed to fruitful lands.

For every seed to them she spoke,

“For every child shall rise like oak”

To wear the crown and greet the sun,

A branch took root where loss had run.

Deep in the grove, where none do tread,

The Queen laid down her fairest thread;

And where the roots drank from the ground,

A nameless seed took root profound

A stone was set, a prayer was said,

The mortals mourned the vanished dead,

Yet the leaves, in whispers green,

Knew the price that grew their Queen.

But still the pears hung fat and sweet,

Still poppies burned beside the wheat;

Still milk-white lambs in meadows played,

And never once the harvest swayed.

And when the final spring drew near,

She knew the grove would quake in fear;

A thousand leaves, a thousand cries,

Rose like a forest through her eyes.

From her breath, from root and thorn,

The only royal, safely born.

A babe beneath the boughs was laid,

A crown of living leaves was made;

Her eyes were dark as woodland pools,

Her fate, a thread of many spools.

The suitors sought her regal name.

Naught to know their children’s fame.

The Queen wore blossoms in her hair

And took her husband's fair and fair

The trees and grass forever sing

“Long live the Queen! Long live the spring!”

And in the grove, where shadows keep

The names no mortal tongue may speak,

A sapling stirred beneath the fern—

And all the grove would shake in turn.

So sing, my sisters, low and slow,

Of all that blooms and all that grows.

For some roots drink of rain and dew,

And some of what the world once knew.

For those upon the fruitful throne,

We hear beneath the olden stone.

"Sing softly, sisters, of the green,

Of elder roots and crowns unseen"

Just Sharing Rome’s Tragedy

Profaned I was, till lives yet to unfold,
defiled, consummated by that viper cold.
Garbed as an emperor, in pomp and fame,
he made me Poppaea, and Nero called my name.

He swallowed me till naught was mine to own,
and raised me, at that feast, to glory on the altar stone.
He made my torso ornament inestimable,
and, amid incense and sepulchral stages,
deified me, and made me untouchable.

He gave me a bouquet, ethereal, divine,
whose perfume pressed upon this breast of mine.
I touched its petals; in that gesture I consecrated,
and, breathing its fragrance, that union with poison I venerated.

I breathed it in, a devotee chaste and sure,
and watched myself drain from that rite impure.
For belladonna was the bouquet dire,
and at last a petal tumbled to the ground,
sealing my last, humble sigh as I expire.

Just Sharing A person I’m not (2 poems)

And I would rather feel the earth beneath my feet, shatter and become incomplete then become a person I’m not.

I’ll fall and fall, and rot in the underworld. Because that’s all I have been told.

But is that the peace I’ve been wishing for all, or will I find peace not in the underworld.

2)
And I would rather feel the earth beneath my feet, shatter and become incomplete then become a person I’m not.

A shadow in the light, that’s gone or a memory rotting away but you wishing it would stay.
And then you say
“please don’t rot, don’t rot away.”

Feedback Please The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name
I come the way I learned as a child,
small, and certain You are listening

Thy kingdom come
Let it come like his hand in mine
for the length of this prayer,
his breath right next to me
when he turns to say peace be with you
and almost means it for me
I echo his name unto You
on every bead of my rosary

Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
You knit me together in my mother's womb
and I've tried to keep every stitch
since I first wore white
and took Your Word as my own

Give us this day
one reason to stay
Give me him
Let him love me,
let him slip a ring on my finger,
and let the doves' wings echo our name

And forgive us our trespasses
O my God, I am heartily sorry,
though I've never been sorry for the wanting,
only for the asking

As we forgive those
who taught me to fold my hands
before they taught me
what I wasn't allowed to hold

Lead us not into temptation
I never had far to go
It sits with me at Mass,
beneath my ribs, where it's always been

But deliver us from evil
I know what this is
Even Judas was sorry,
and I'm still asking

I ask this as your servant,
your altar boy,
your son

Amen.

Feedback Please The Distance Between Stars

everything reminds me of you.

the stars,
like the night we shared a telescope,
searching for things so far away.

the birds, perched in the morning dew;
the monkeys, frozen in time,
with their wandering eyes.

old movies and television shows,
medieval torture,
the dresses you wore,
and how lovely you looked in them.

the strangest things
still seem to belong to you,
though you no longer belong to me.

do you think of me
when i think of you?

i wonder if the stars
ever bring you back to that night,
if you remember what we saw,
or if they’re just stars to you.

time passes,
and the distance between us grows,
yet my mind, somehow,
always finds its way back to you.

i see you in things
you’ve never even touched,
in places you’ve never been,
in moments you will never know.

and no matter where my mind wanders,
everything reminds me of you.

Feedback Please The Life of the Trees

The Life of the Trees

We just need to fight for the life of the trees,
The calm and the silent, the nature of wild.
Listen and hear her begs and her pleas,
The modern world has our spirits beguiled.

A constant attempt to separate from source,
It seems our beginning is fading from memory.
Our ancestral roots, the previous course,
While Mother Earth is fading to schemery.
A deceptive attempt to innovate and build
Shareholder value—that is, we lied, and we drilled.

It’s not too late to save what sustains us;
We just need to listen to her begs and her pleas.
Mother Earth is in pain, though she knows forgiveness;
We just need to fight for the life of the trees.

Just Sharing the mirror

the mirror

i have spent so much time trying not to become angry like my father

i became sad like my mother

i spend my days swallowing my anger, trying to not let it consume me

i end up falling asleep in my sadness so that i can feel

i look in the mirror when i cry

and i can see her smile

when i set my fork down before i have begun

i can see her laughter

i cannot call her on the phone without recognizing my own voice

i have spent so much time trying not to become my father, I have become what he hated most

Feedback Please An Ode To Goddess Durga

The Gods silently stared at the anarchy.
Evil proclaimed its victory with triumphant laughter.
And yet, no thunder broke,
No sword was drawn!

Helpless and forsaken were the hopes of resurrection.
Buried and forgotten were the songs of valor.
The corpses of warriors who once stood for bravery
Lay silently in the dust,
Mere effigies of defeat.

Disdained and disquieted were the souls of the saints,
Vandalized and marred were their sacred tombs.
And yet, no trident triumphed,
No mace struck mighty blows.

Then came Motherhood in the form of a roaring rage,
Transcending the delusions of the demonic age.
The world trembled, yet celebrated the ravage,
As victory was once again anointed by the heavens.

Feedback Please Old Chub on Langford street

Chub Mcgroob lived down langford street
He'd have his fill of pancakes saturday afternoon Ihop
He'd get in the door go straight for the menu
Then inch closer to the waitress Sally ann

The same one he saw every time he came for those cakes
She was always on shift at that time
He'd come through the door like it was just the pancakes he was interested in
But down at the table when he was warming up he'd turn up the charm

So was he there for Sally ann? or those sweet soft syrupy cakes back there?
It was a mystery to her and to him maybe it was just a transaction
Chub didn't seem to think, he just seemed to bang into things
He should have been nicknamed clumsy

His legs would almost buckle under him as he walked back to his shack on Lanford street
Sometimes he'd struggle to get in the front door for all the liquer they put in his drink
One day the neighbors were on the street and they observed Chubs halfway into the front door
He was in a state and lurched forward and back until it was obvious what he was doing...

He projectile vomited into his own house
The neighbors of langford street just whispered to themselves
And covered their children's eyes
Mcgroob was never looked at the same after that

Just Sharing 11 seconds

I walked down the street.

The needles of the grass poking at each pore on my leg.

The cool air swift against the roots of my face,
My eyes drawn to an unfamiliar, uncomfortable, mourning scene.

1 second
My eyes glance, but don’t move.

2 seconds
My mind begins to wander back to when I was a little girl, wondering where the tree trunk was.

3 seconds
A blue bike.
Pink flowers on its handles.
Tiny. Rusty.
Loud, laughing, mocking.

4 seconds
A father, a name so bitter to my tongue.

5 seconds
A father, holding his child as she rides the bike.

6 seconds
I’m still a child, wondering where my tree trunk is.

7 seconds
Training wheels attached to my foot, the chains attached to my heart.

8 seconds
I wish upon a tree trunk to teach me how to move the chains and pedal my heart.

9 seconds
A father, upon me; I am undeserving.

10 seconds
The wind presses deep inside my dermis, its cold mocking.

11 seconds
My eyes close, my feet move. I no longer want to feel the wind deep inside or the pedals protruding deep into my hands.

Just Sharing Rabbit Family

Mr. and Mrs. Rabbit lived at number 40 Downing street.
Their flat was a warm and cozy, pink walled abode.
They were an inseparable pair.
Every hour of the day they spent together.
In the night they huddled together to share the warmth.

One Thursday morning Mr. and Mrs. Rabbit opened their front door to find two tiny kits.
They took them in and kept them alive, and the kits thrived.
The Rabbits comforted their young bunny babies with snuggles.
They fed them and kept them warm.
Until one day the bunnies were no longer bunnies but full grown rabbits.
It distressed Mr. and Mrs. Rabbit to be no longer needed, but they had done their duty as rabbit parents.

Feedback Please These are some words about love

These are words about love:

Poetry is the way to say without saying
let me rip open my chest and pour out
“I love you” “I love you” “I love you”

Let me be a rose, and you can be the sun
Let me be the sun, and you can be the sky
Unoriginal garbage like that

Can you hear it anyway?
The “I love you” shining in my heart - like a firefly's coy glow

What can I say?
“Please stay by my side”
Is it really that simple?

Then maybe poetry is just a way to repeat what has already been said
But sometimes the only way to feel “I love you” is to say

Let me rip open my chest and pour out
all the disguised words -
and land on your finger for just a moment, before flying into the darkening sky

Feedback Please Dog Walking (I did and saw all this [apart from the godly images] today, dog walking)

Today I saw Poseidon's rain
Come down upon a sunny day.
Across that noisy water park
Did Sol's old pointing finger arc.

I followed His wise guiding light;
So trampled I on lost tree bones,
Then up the hill who hears my groans.
And much to my surprised delight,

I'm standing by Siddhartha's stream;
Where life is but a holy dream.
I glimpse two rainbow's happy glow.
I listen gently to the flow.

The Angels dance within my mind
Just like a falling autumn leaf.
But I must go, leave all behind -
Yet don't you mope, nor hold no grief.

For as we dream this scenery,
We breathe it now, a life anew.
And don't you fall for trickery -
It always was inside of you.

Feedback Please Belay (first poem, feedback pls. Too on the nose?)

With waves overhead, a nod to my ghosts,
The sea lashes the once-strong oak.
My cries stolen, swallowed by the spray,
I ask for a moment, a respite from the fray.
I cannot see my port, no lighthouse, no home,
I scream at the storm, belay, belay, belay.

With a foot on land, I furl the sheet.
The sail is folded and stowed below.
Mast still strong, left moored on the sand.
I cannot face the storm again.

I miss the ocean, I long for the sea.
I yearn for the water, my own Innisfree.
My sail brought me home, my deck and my keel.
I wish to sail, I wish to feel.

Feedback Please Visit My Grave

At least, come visit my grave.
Hold the soil between your fingers,
Shed a tear,
Smile once while saying my name.
Or simply stand there,
And let my name cross your mind.
For a moment longer than a stranger's.

Perhaps then,
My foolish soul may rest,
Knowing that even in death,
I was remembered by you

The one I chose
Over peace.

Feedback Please POETIC JUSTICE

by John Denver

His Almighty was a ruler bold and grand,
A man of words, a blade in hand.
His wisdom vast, his kingdom bright,
Yet veiled in shadow, hid from sight.

None knew the vices he concealed,
Like wives behind his walls, sealed.
Until a soldier chanced to see
The stain upon his legacy.

The people's trust, once held so tight,
Was squandered in the dead of night.
They whispered soft, then roared in cries,
"A hypocrite, draped in disguise!"

His words and deeds a twisted dance,
Yet all they sought was penitence.
But fame was ever his desire,
A throne upheld by gilded fire.

Until one crime, caught in the fray,
Could not be swept nor cast away.
Poetic justice, a fleeting dream,
For in this world, the victors scheme.

The mighty rise, the weak may crawl—
Yet even kings must watch the fall.

Feedback Please A song to a muse of mine

In my head lives a tiny muse
He lives within my head.
And every single time I lose
He drinks what tears I shed

I say this not to insult his
good name, but to give thanks,
To bless that little soul of his
For all that’s in my head.

I must apologise to him,
He’s not been doing great.
For the tears he loves to feast on
Have all but left my face.

I wish not to starve him out of
Me, for it is a shame.
For he taught me to run from love
Yet he is not to blame!

Thus, a tribute! To this here muse,
You taught me all I know.
Yet all I am is feeling used,
Do you feel we have grown?

So to my little companion,
My dear partner in crime,
You taught me how to love, to run,
But now the tears have dried!

Feedback Please Tiredness

I’m tired

Tired to pretend that everything is great, when it’s not

Tired to force myself to do things when I don’t want to,

Is a feeling that draws all your energy,

is like being with low battery in your body,

every movement, every action, feels like an eternity,

doesn’t have strength enough, like thousand bricks in your body,

making you feel heavy.

This tiredness doesn’t want to go,

it will disappear when I start to feel happiness, human connection,

that is when those bricks will transform in wings and flowers,

and allow me to live again.

Just Sharing Be still thy heart

Be still thy heart

Boom boom.

Stillness and silence, body immobile,

laying as if i was in a casket own demise

Boom boom

feeling the coldness blanketing

the blackness depths of my resolve.

Boom boom

Heart Beating slower across my body,

head feeling each of the beats.

Boom boom

missing the you, the love it needs

to flourish in the cold darkness I feel
