Genuinely what is going on with Jersey drivers. I feel like for the past week there hasn’t been a day without an accident making the news. Drivers are being more and more reckless, too many deaths due to car accidents recently :(

This is the link, a few people have posted this in the past 2 years. To the people who are going to inevitably complain about how it isn’t technically legal, you’re a party pooper and you won’t get a bonus for crying about people doing this optional loophole. I’ve done it myself and have never been stopped.

This post is for all of my fellow New Jerseyans who stand for the rights of human beings. With our elections upon us, it’s important to know who we should stand behind and who we should reject to represent us. There’s a number of issues to consider, but there is one issue that should be paramount for all New Jerseyans who value humanity. The issue of funding Israel.
In 2024 alone, $682 MILLION USD has been given from New Jersey’s federal taxes to the state of Israel, who continues to use financial support from the U.S. to conduct its ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. This is inexcusable for anyone who is in support of human rights. New Jersey should not want this to represent us, especially considering our thriving Palestinian communities throughout the state in places such as Paterson, Clifton, and more.
Multiple of our politicians receive thousands in AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) money to continue funneling our money to Israel as Palestinians are murdered, and people in New Jersey go without their needs met. All of our politicians who receive this money are listed in the link, but it includes people along bipartisan lines such as Cory Booker and Jeff Van Drew. We should make a stand against this, and not give any of them our vote.
My evidence for what is discussed in this post is in the shared links. But I encourage all of you to choose humanity and reject the funding of Israel’s genocide and warmongering with NJ taxpayer funds. New Jersey talks a lot about our progressivism, let’s actually show it.
EDIT: Can’t say I’m surprised by the comments and how selfish and ignorant they are. I don’t want to ever hear you people complain about things like “the cost of living” while you actively support or are indifferent towards the fact that your taxes pay for this. This does affect you, even if you’re too self centered and short sighted to see it. And I’m not even entertaining the “bigot” accusations. Get new material. This video is all I have to say to you all.
EDIT 2: Thanks for the Reddit Cares messages. You Zionists are unhinged and are the only ones who need help to heal the rot in your hearts.

Daisy is a beautiful black cat who has lived outdoors all her life (around 6 months). She comes and goes but usually waits by the back door. She’s very chatty and has the sweetest little face. She can also be wary and hiss or swat while waiting for food, so she’ll need someone patient who understands she may need time and a careful transition. Also, she’s small dog-friendly.
Because she was born outdoors, she needs someone prepared to arrange a vet visit and spay care once she's adopted.
I’m no longer able to care for her, and I want to find her a safe, thoughtful placement. I’m hoping to connect with an experienced adopter or rescue who can help plan her transition.
If you’re interested, please message me with your experience with outdoor or shy cats, your plan for Daisy, and if you have any other pets in your home.

Thomas Edison Historical Park
Liberty State Park
Grounds for Sculpture
Pine Barrens

Let me know what's your favorite thing to do in NJ!

NJ is apparently the loudest state in the US, with NY coming in at #8. 😂
Honestly, between the traffic, construction, and constant noise, I can kind of see it. But I’m curious what everyone else thinks. Does NJ really deserve the #1 spot, or is your town actually pretty quiet?

Please if you havent sign our petition.
With the help of all signees, after a couple months at the last meeting Councilman Singh stated he would like revisit and have another vote on the Flock Camera contract with Franklin Township.
Getting this on the agenda is crucial to our eventual goal of eliminating Flock.
The next Township Meeting is tonight 10/27.

It looks like he's in Manhattan, and I didn't see anyone in the comments who looked like they were considering adoption. He looks like a very good boy, and he deserves a second chance. Could you guys please share around, or if you/someone you know could give him a good home, please do? I'm asking around here, but I don't know many people from up north (and not anyone who can take in a cat). He looks so soft and sweet..

Hey everyone!
I'm looking for a male roommate in their 20s to take over my previous roommate's portion of the lease at The Pearl at Station Bay in South Amboy, NJ. My roommate moved out in the middle of our lease, so the room is available immediately. I'm a recent college graduate in my 20s who just started working full-time in the area. Ideally, I'm looking for another young professional or recent graduate around my age.
If you're interested, feel free to DM me. Happy to share pictures, the floor plan, and answer any questions.

Hi New Jersey people,
I am gonna be a poll worker this year for the first time, and they don't assign your polling location that you'll be working at until way later. I just found out yesterday.
Because of that, the Board of Elections members from my county told poll workers to use either mail-in voting, the secure drop box option, or in-person early voting.
I tried putting my ballot in my mailbox with a note saying to pick it up today because that works all the time based on my past mailing history of other mail, but the mailman didn't take it. The secure drop box option and in-person early voting options are far away and I don't have transportation. I wish I had a better option.
Can I put my mail-in ballot in the USPS blue box near me?
