Why is 10% badge progression for shooting a vet 2 reward? That is such pointless reward

The playerbase is trash with these builds
I need everybody opinion on this one! Do you think we should go back to pre patch why or why not?

lol y’alll are hilarious
Learned the game courts were too small for proper spacing so yall hop in zone immediately every game, spamming steals in lanes, and flopping. Your five stack against two groups and an AI
Pure 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈
Every single game for the last three days in rec against five stack zone sweats

You have to max out every season plus get the entire seasons pass to have a meta build - which becomes impossible if you miss a single season? I'm currently doing my post-grad and I would literally have to drop out of my program to be able to do this. These guys have lost their minds.

I understand you need people to play park but holy shit I do not want to play park. You wait 10 minutes to get into a "no squad" game where you are constantly against red plate SQUADS. Just make it park AND theatre for god sake, at least those games get over and done fast and it's actual no squads. People complain about solo rec but my god I'd rather do 100 games of nonstop solo rec than touch park, specificly no squad parks, as they're always filled with squads and if you're actually no squad you get some 60-70 ovr bum who thinks he's a dribble god taking contested shots.
Sorry I just needed to vent I really really really hate park it's the most unfun part of the game, tolerable if you're squadded but still the waiting times are rough, go play theatre.

My SGA build and playstyle feels like a dying breed every time they patch the game to cater to quick stopping three point shooters. But I still prefer to get to my spots inside the arc.

Have they found a way to make it undetectable? Literally every other game theres 1 guy in a team of 5 that averages 50pts a game and shoots 88% from 3 fadeing from half court, they dont even hide it

I made a SG for a reason, and yet 90% of my games I am playing out of position. i have a PG build, so I know how to play PG. The problem is that my Sg build is literally not built to play PG at all. i have a 70 pass accuracy, 80 hall handle, and a 78 3 ball. There is absolutely no reason I should be put at PG ever.
NBA 2K27 has a major progression and reward design flaw. Players are unlocking rewards they no longer need because the reward system fails to account for progression already completed.
Examples:
REP Rewards: Shooting badge progression boosts are awarded at REP levels where many players have already maxed out their badges.
Practice XP: Rewards continue offering practice XP despite players having little or no remaining use for it.
Legend Rebirth: Players who have already unlocked Legend Rebirth continue receiving progression-related rewards offering little meaningful benefit.
Daily Challenges: Challenges and rewards feel randomly assigned, with little consideration for player progression or whether the reward is useful.
Season Rewards: Too many rewards offer temporary progression benefits instead of something valuable to players who have already completed those systems.
The Design Flaw:
These reward systems seem disconnected from one another. Players invest hundreds of hours grinding REP, badges, builds, and challenges, only to unlock rewards designed to help them complete progression they've already finished.
It genuinely feels like rewards were randomly generated and assigned to milestones without anyone checking whether they make sense at those stages of the game.
Suggested Fix:
Rewards should scale with player progression. Once a player completes a progression system, future rewards tied to it should convert into something useful, such as VC, REP boosts, or other meaningful incentives.
Bottom Line:
A reward should feel rewarding. Players should not spend hundreds of hours unlocking benefits they've already outgrown. Whether this is poor planning, automated reward generation, or a lack of quality control, these systems need to be reviewed together instead of independently.

I made a 6'6 SG with a 89 strength and gold strong handle and it literally does nothing. I don't care if the 6'4 PG has 85 perimeter. They should not be bodying me up on the 3 when they have a 40 strength. I don't care what the dribble gods say. This also goes for defense. Why do PG's dribble right past me when I have a 89 strength???
P.S: I also have a 93 ball handle PG, so I like using dribble moves too, but I designed this build for the specific purpose of getting mismatches against weaker guards, and it literally means nothing.

This is the first in a new series of post where each week I take my favourite NBA performances and create a build you can run. Week 1 is Ty Jerome’s season opener for Memphis against Utah.
The performance
45 points on 17-25 from the field, 5-10 from three, 6-7 at the line, plus 7 boards and 6 assists in 32 minutes. Career high and a Grizzlies franchise opening-night record. Fourteen of his 17 makes were unassisted, 8 of 10 on his floaters went in, not scared of contact, a masterclass in ethical hoops. Every three he made was a pull-up. Utah dropped in coverage on ball screens and he spent the night punishing it from 8 to 12 feet.
The build
PG, 6'5", 200 lb, 6'6" wingspan. I took creative liberty on the wingspan so Driving Layup could reach 93 and unlock Gold Float Game.
Badge plan
Float Game is the whole identity, so it comes first, then Arc Cadence and Smooth Operator for the pull-ups (every three he made was off the dribble) and Limitless Range for the 28-footers.
Physical Finisher covers the contact layups. Dimer, Handles for Days and Unpluckable make him a proper creator, who kicks out to open shooters and doesn't get stripped. Skip Static Middy and Set and Fire, because Ty took no standstill shots. If you have Fuse slots, you can get to HoF Float Game and Arc Cadence, and then start building out the rest.
How to play it
Get your big to set a high screen and attack. If they drop, pull up from three or hit the 12-foot floater. If they hedge, take the mid-range pull-up. If the defence commits two to you, hit the roller or the corners if they help off.
What performance should we build next? Tell me in the comments.

I just don’t understand the logic of this game….Why does it feel like I’m playing NBA Jam?What is the issue with the defense…It just seems like a free for all especially playing people with higher rep… at this point it just seems like your exploiting basketball and people who love the game …season one was perfect it was skill needed …now everyone gets a participation trophy for playing…. Where is the middle ground or will there ever be one…2k26 there was no defense until the last 3 seasons ….now here we go again…you used to have some kind of iq to play … now you just need a controller… This game should teach basketball not exploit it….

If you know how to use Goat Dirk its unstoppable.
Gameplay: MyPLAYER / Driving Dunk Meter Platform: Xbox Series X|S Gamertag: Pelk Dog
Recent updates appear to have unintentionally overcorrected dunk-meter contests, creating an imbalance between finishing and perimeter shooting.
2KTutes' original testing showed defenders standing directly underneath the basket barely affected dunk green windows, even with 99 Interior Defense. This was overpowered and needed adjustment.
However, October retesting shows 25 Interior Defense now significantly shrinks the green window, while 99 Interior Defense can virtually eliminate it, despite the defender remaining out of position.
This is concerning because Patch 2.0 addressed shooting "ghost contests" by requiring better defensive positioning. Yet dunking now appears heavily influenced by Interior Defense ratings regardless of positioning.
To reproduce: Compare meter dunks against defenders with 25 and 99 Interior Defense standing directly underneath the rim, then repeat with defenders properly positioned to challenge the drive.
Requested Fix: Investigate whether recent changes excessively reward Interior Defense without requiring proper positioning.
Elite rim protectors should be effective when positioned correctly, but poorly positioned defenders with minimal defensive ratings shouldn't neutralize elite finishers. Shooting and finishing should follow consistent principles rewarding ratings, positioning, and timing.

Just need to rant, we all know random rec is awful but what’s even worse is when you don’t have 5 in squads rec. I genuinely don’t understand what goes through people’s minds to actively ice out their teammates when they could go play 2’s or 3’s? It’s one thing if people are selling but not even giving your teammates a chance? Been playing too much today ig💀

I always see hate for inside centers & I’ll never understand it. YES they can be a detriment if they don’t know how to play their role, that’s kind of how every build works. If you are playing with an HIGH IQ inside and can’t make it work it’s 100% the guards that can’t adapt (as a PG myself who prefers to play with insides over poppers in every gamemode) Unless I’m running 5 out iso (which I find extremely boring for EVERYONE but me on the court) you can still run PNRs, call backdoors, set offballs. You get so many free O Boards and slips from having an inside. Plus the defense on an inside or most likely going to be better. PLEASE don’t be an inside who just posts up under the rim though..
Do I think you should go to rec with an inside center? Probably not. Most people can’t adapt playstyles around it & everyone in random rec thinks they have to backdoor cut 30 times a play so they’ll get in your way and you’ll be in theirs.

+4 more caps for 89 strength (soon-ish)
+3 more caps for 90 steal (not soon)

Does anyone else like never seem to win in random rec? Like I don’t think I’m the one selling every game, but i probably loose 8 out of 10 games. It seems like there’s always an absolute sweat on the other team every game. Like yesterday and today my record was 1-7. Idk it’s always like this for me

I logged on yesterday to do my daily spin everything was fine. I logged on today and I have to redo all of the starting cut scenes and play the intro game. I closed the app, restored the licenses, and checked for cloud-saved data. I get back in and all my players are there, but the only thing I can really tell at the moment missing is that my Lifetime Challenges are set back to 30 when I was well over 140. Any help?
