EDIT: I'm playing 2k26 so that's why it's not working. Finally came back last year to this series since 2k17. Even for 2k standards, I'm a bit surprised they locked this feature to only the current game. Not worth upgrading imo but now I know the answer.

No threes. I play in the paint doing the Kareem Abdul hook shot at 7’4. My hook specialist is only a bronze yet no one can guard me. All these centers just shoot 3s and gold off ball pest keeps them in check.

This is like my 20th 40 pt game 20+ rebounds and I play solo squads online. Averaging 30+ a game with randoms, 15+ boards, 2 blocks, round up to 5 assists a game.

Convinced hook shots is the meta, if I get double or tripled team i’m passing it to someone who can shoot 3s.

Is there any new point in making a new build anymore ? Feel like it's a waste to make a new build before season 3 cos they're probably gonna drop new goat builds. Anyone have any idea of what the new goat builds will be ?

In my opinion Lavine and Thompson only have some good animations and it's not enough to give up the consistency Booker has. Plus Lavine has multiple animations for the same input so I hate him.

I can easily win proving ground, theatre, and rec games. But the moment I step anywhere close to the park everyone is way better than me. Is park where most of the sweats play?

I don't see how there's still anybody playing this game after goat builds were added. It's the most blatant obvious money grab I've ever seen put out by a video game. Here let's put out these builds that are OP as shit in the right hands and u can't do anything to stop it unless u spent the $150 to make a goat build yourself. It’s been almost 2 months since 2K27 launched, and it’s literally the same trend every year. People go out and buy the game, only to complain about THE EXACT SAME THINGS they complained about last year. I have an idea - STOP BUYING THIS BS. Give them a wake up call and force them to actually work on improving the game. It’s recycled crap and you people eat it up every single year, only to complain about it guess what - AGAIN. I honestly don’t get it. The last 2K I bought was ‘25 that’s when I’d had enough. Developers don’t care because they’re making money off you guys anyway!!

You have to max out every season plus get the entire seasons pass to have a meta build - which becomes impossible if you miss a single season? I'm currently doing my post-grad and I would literally have to drop out of my program to be able to do this. These guys have lost their minds.

I always see hate for inside centers & I’ll never understand it. YES they can be a detriment if they don’t know how to play their role, that’s kind of how every build works. If you are playing with an HIGH IQ inside and can’t make it work it’s 100% the guards that can’t adapt (as a PG myself who prefers to play with insides over poppers in every gamemode) Unless I’m running 5 out iso (which I find extremely boring for EVERYONE but me on the court) you can still run PNRs, call backdoors, set offballs. You get so many free O Boards and slips from having an inside. Plus the defense on an inside or most likely going to be better. PLEASE don’t be an inside who just posts up under the rim though..

Do I think you should go to rec with an inside center? Probably not. Most people can’t adapt playstyles around it & everyone in random rec thinks they have to backdoor cut 30 times a play so they’ll get in your way and you’ll be in theirs.

Hadn't done this since 2K19. I'm glad they added skills and features to the rest of the 96 Bulls rather than just Jordan and Pippen in this 2K25. Playing with Randy Brown and Jason Caffey for the first time was weird, but satisfyingly weird. BTW, thanks for the advice on how to play Jordan in this game.

You’re not going to be taken seriously by 2K. They know there will always be new kids picking up the game to replace the players who eventually get fed up and stop buying new editions.

I played for 10 years, all the way up to 2K26, and I’ve seen how much the game has declined over the years.

The only real thing you can do is stop playing. But you’re not going to convince 2K to make the game better by complaining when their business model keeps working. Just move on, people!

Today a kid was getting really upset with the way
the game was progressing, and this kid was obvious young cause his voice seemed very cartoony.

This old man tells asks him how are you going to talk any of this stuff you’re talking and you’re in the rec still wearing NBA 2K shoes.

The other burn I heard went something along the lines of telling this 81 overall player that they shouldn’t be in the rec with 99s. They told the 81 overall that they were wasting their time and that they broke self needsd to get some money to upgrade their player.

The person even volunteered to send them a money order to upgrade the 81 level player. I feel like I received third-degree burns just listening to this.

This is a build I just made, it only gets 4 defense tokens but Im cap breaking the perimeter to 85. I’ve only just got the game and I don’t know how the badge system works with the fuse and other stuff etc but once I cap break my perimeter to an 85 will I even get the badges for it or even get to equip them? How do I get around the 4 tokens or do I need to make a new build.
