The tail slam one requires good positioning for favourable rng and timing (almost messed it up in the clip even lol) and the tail tornado is kind of a 50/50 on which way he'll jump. With good timing though you can still nail his nogging even if you're facing the wrong way as long as he does his bite attack right at the apex of your tcs swing, pretty nifty. Wish I could figure out which way he'll jump, maybe there is a tell or maybe its based off of previous moves, if anyone knows that would be super cool and helpful information!

i really cant tell the difference which one is better. Left side stats has Attack 1 augment and the right side is Affinity 1 augment

Hello! I just now got Monster Hunter World since it’s currently on sale in the PlayStation Store and i‘d like to know a few tips you think a beginner should know! A small side note is that I don’t have experience with any monster hunter games except that i killed one monster when my sister let me try her game out (which was Wilds but i‘m not sure if there are differences with the two games). Also, since i just mentioned Wilds, i did not get that game because I don’t have a PS5 and i would‘ve gotten it on the PC if I wasn’t more comfortable to play videogames on a console (PC‘s are often more overwhelming than consoles to me)

That's what's in the text. I tried for 5 days in a row to do the Fatalis solo, but I always ran out of time. He would get down to about 15k health and then the time would run out.

I was using parts of Alatreon for defense and increased dragon elemental damage, also with Alatreon's weapon (switch axe). I'm 99% sure the problem wasn't with the build; I was simply running out of time and losing.

After giving up, I simply started sending SOS messages until halfway through the rum someone entered and, as a duo, we killed him. I immediately went to the blacksmith, made his weapon, and went to sleep.

And I'm here now, I'll try solo runs again, but with his weapon. Do you consider killing Fatalis with your weapon cheating?

So today I had an issue with Steam Sync and didn't realize and now both local and cloud saves are updated and I lost like 2 months of progress.

Last thing I did was complete the assignments for Kushala Daora, Teostra and Vaal Hazak.

Is it possible to find a save file that puts me back at that point of the game? I don't care if I have to redo them, I just don't want to redo like 20hrs of game again. Optional missions don't matter., I just want to continue the story from more or less where I left it from.

I’ve got no proof, but I got a 17:00:93 on Bad Friends, Great Enemies on my first attempt :) Wilds certainly prepared me well for Iceborne’s Ebony :)

I finally killed Fatalis. It was awful, and I hated every second of it, but it's done, with only a minute and half left on the clock...

I only broke a single horn, so I didn't really get an Evil eye. Honestly, I really don't have it in me to try to attempt to beat him again. I'm tired, my hands shake, and I attempted this very stressful challenge at night when I have an exam the next day. I have no intention of farming his weapons/armor. I defeated a very challenging boss and made my point. I completed Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.

I sort of skipped the killscreen in my adrenaline rush, so here's the photo of the 1 Fatalis kill in the hunter notes.

It makes no sense to me that the Fatalis CB, which only has 150 element, deals more SAED/AED damage than a full elemental build with a 650 Fire CB.

fatalis -> 170 - 200 damage to a non dragon resist monster
fire cb -> 70 - 100 damage to a weak to fire monster

like, wtf???

The fight with the big blue monster was, too easy or am i tripping? I main dual swords, and went to fight it with the enduring schism, it is a cool monster and a cool looking fight but, it has like three attacks and they all can easily get dodged, i had more trouble against Kushala Daora (the windy metalized fucker wouldnt touch the floor went 30 minutes just trying to hit it), anyways, the xeno is top design imo but the fight felt too easy

Im new to monster hunter and I thought I'd make Kainé from neir replicant but ive been at the character creation for about an hours and feel like ive made no progress so i was wondering if i can get some helpX-<

the first half of this fight is like fighting a dumb sabre tooth tiger with a lobotomy

and then the second half is like getting treated like a punk ragdoll

beat him first try with 3 MINUTES LEFT! (no prior attack knowledge) (still my first playthrough)

I like the look of the (male) blossom set with the white shirt/clothes under the armor bits. But after crafting the layered set, the white part is dark blue. Is there more than one layered set (the AT kirin one)?

I even went into the CC and changed my “underclothes” to white to see if that was it.

I already played Lance, Charge Blade, Swaxe, Hunting Horn and SnS.

What should i try next?

Please don't suggest Longsword, i don't like katanas.

How do i fix this? It happens on both my pc and steamdeck after every play but its consistant now no other game does this and its a pain

Kulu-Ya-Ku has 15,370 HP in Master Rank, while a Gold Rathian has 21,000. Seriously, how does that make any sense? A monster that predictable and weak shouldn't have that much HP.

Basically, when you fight these kinds of monsters, you should feel much more powerful and be able to kill them in just a couple of hits. The truly challenging fights should come from the monsters that were actually introduced in Master Rank, and even then, not every single one of them needs to be a damage sponge. Their HP should scale with your progression through the rank instead.
