https://github.com/Ohhvalvaa/mh-world-overlay Hi hunters! I've been working on a small overlay for Monster Hunter: World and it's now free and open source on GitHub:
What it show
- Quest target first: when several large monsters are fighting close together, the HUD sticks to the quest target, so an intruder or a turf war won't steal the panel
- A / marker on the health bar at the capture threshold, exactly where the skull would appear
- The monster's elemental weaknesses, using the game's own icons
- A party damage meter: one bar per hunter with name, damage, % share and weapon icon
Why another overlay?
- No external application. No companion app, no second window, no always-on-top desktop overlay. It's a ~30 KB plugin loaded by the game through SharpPluginLoader. You just launch MHW from Steam.
- It never takes mouse or keyboard input, so it can't get in the way of your controls.
- Read-only. It never changes damage, items, quests or matchmaking.
- It reads the icons from your own copy of the game, so no game files are redistributed.
Requirements: latest Steam version (421810, with or without Iceborne), the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime and SharpPluginLoader 2.0.0. There's a step-by-step installation guide in the README.
Party damage offsets come from HunterPie (credited, Apache-2.0). Big thanks to that project and to SharpPluginLoader.
Feedback and bug reports are welcome. Happy hunting!
