Game Dev Shabang: two free music guessing games that play in your phone's browser (no app, no signup)

• Upvotes

Less than a year ago, my sister Shani was diagnosed with cancer. She spent almost three months in the hospital, and to give us something fun to do together during those days, I started building a music game for the two of us.

She passed away on August 29th, before I finished it. I kept working on it, partly to keep my mind busy, and now it's live as Shabang, with two games:

🥁 TrackStack: every song is split into its instruments. You start with only the drums, and each wrong guess adds a layer: bass, guitar, piano… vocals come last.

⏱️ Songuess: you hear a fifth of a second of the song, and each wrong guess plays more: half a second, 2 seconds, 4…

In both, the less you need to hear, the more points you get, and each one has a daily challenge: one song a day, the same for everyone.

Free, no signup, works on your phone:

https://shabangmusic.com/

I'd love honest feedback, and to see your daily results in the comments.

Questions Is the Xiaomi 17t pro good for gaming?

• Upvotes

On paper, the phone itself looks pretty good to me. The camera, the chipset, the battery... pretty much everything is solid. But as a gamer,it gets kinda annoying when I have to deal with thermal throttling after like 30 minutes with my phone like it's my homework that I forgot to do on a sunday night. Some people on Internet say that it gets really hot but does it really? For example, one of my friends have the Samsung s25 ultra and whenever we play a game like wuwa or ZZZ on max settings,I mean sure the phone does get a little warm, mostly the frame getting somewhat hot,but other than that,it's pretty much really good and nothing to worry about. I'm just kinda worried that if I buy this phone I might have to deal with all the overheating stuff and probably buy a cooler or sth. Also, this part isn't about gaming and all that overall but,do the cameras look really good as they seem to be like the pictures I saw online? I love taking videos and especially videos so just curious. Thanks for your time!

Discussion Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom on Dimensity 8400-Ultra (Mali GPU) - Rock Solid 60 FPS

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I wanted to share how this game runs on a MediaTek chip, since most mobile games are heavily optimized for Snapdragon/Adreno. I was curious if the Mali GPU could handle it, and it runs incredibly well.

Device: Xiaomi 15T

Chipset: Dimensity 8400-Ultra (Mali-G720 MC7)

Settings: 100% Resolution Scale

Performance: Locked at a rock-solid 60 FPS in every situation. Even during heavy fights with lots of enemies and explosions, it never drops a single frame. The phone remains surprisingly cool.

(Note: The game has a 60 FPS cap by default, so it just doesn't drop.)

Note: I didn't use any game boosters or performance tuning apps. This is just the phone running the game.

You can see the gameplay video I attached. I'm really enjoying the game so far, it's an absolute blast to play!

Huge props to the devs for this release. It looks amazing with the touchscreen controls. Has anyone else tried this on a Mali GPU device?

Questions Any gacha game that are fan ressurected?

I cannot install gacha games in the Play Store

Because I lost my most played gacha game in mobile

The King of Fighters ALLSTAR

The devs shut it down just to replace it into a stupid idle game

The King of Fighters AFK

Which made me never install any game in the Play Store due to the greedy publishers, they keeps shutting down gacha games

So before you give me a fan ressurected gacha game

I want it always have online multiplayer (Co-op or pvp) and no more pve requirement cause i won't be lonely against the cpu just like in KOFAS

Because the most notable gacha games I know they are

Genshin Impact

Honkai Impact 3rd

Zenless Zone Zero

Punishing Gray Raven

Wuthering Waves

Arknights: Endfield

Are always single player focused while they scratches the same inch as KOF ALLSTAR.

These gacha games always have a very gorgeous/stylish graphics so I won't install them cause they will stress me the same way as how KOF ALLSTAR did.

The fan ressurected gacha games I want you guys send me must have instant multiplayer without single player stress...

New Release Title : I made a colourful auto-rickshaw runner you can play in short, chill sessions (free, solo dev)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone, I'm a solo indie dev and just launched my first mobile game, Rajasthan Rush, on Google Play.

It's a 3D runner where you drive an auto-rickshaw through Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur. You swipe or tap to switch lanes, dodge buses, bikes and obstacles, collect coins and use the horn to clear walkers off the road.

There's an Endless Run mode and Journey levels with different goals, and some levels have night rides, monsoon rain, fog or sandstorms.

It's free with ads (a banner on the home screen and an interstitial after some rides).

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rajasthanrush.game

I'm especially curious about:

- Do you prefer swipe controls, tapping the sides of the screen, or on-screen buttons in runners?

- Is the first level too easy or too hard?

- How often do you think ads in a mobile runner are acceptable?

Thanks for reading, and I'm happy to answer anything about how it was made.

Deals Abxylute S8 Lite is a steal!

I picked this controller up for $40 and I must say there is no better deal out there. Extremely comfortable and this is the first mobile controller I have had that's truly "full size" it just doesn't feel like a Mobile controller. USB-C is the way to go too with no lag and pass through charging. Hall effect sticks are smooth and accurate. I used this with an IPhone 16pro and I would definitely recommend.

New Release I made a Civ-style turn-based strategy game for Android, solo. Looking for feedback!

Hey everyone,

I've always loved the "one more turn" feeling of the classic 4X games, so I built my own that runs on a phone: Empires.

You start in 4000 BC with a settler and a warrior, then found cities, research, trade, and fight your way through history.

What's in it:

• 18 leaders and civilizations to choose from

• 30+ technologies, from Bronze Working to the space age

• AI rivals you can trade with, make peace with, demand tribute from, or go to war with

• Land, sea, and air units as you unlock them

• Two ways to win: conquer everyone, or win the space race

• Switch between 2D and 2.5D map views

• Made for touch: tap, drag to pan, pinch to zoom

• Autosaves, so you can play in short sessions

(Offline , No ads)

Free on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sparklingapps.empires
