I wanted a "where I've been" map that goes deeper than countries, so I built one.
What it does:
Privacy: You don't need an account. Your map is saved in your browser and never sent to my server. A share link holds the places themselves in a short code.
Try it here: https://www.xilfy.com/tools/visited-map
I'd love to hear what's missing, whether that's a country with the wrong regions or a feature you'd want. And post your percentage. I'm curious who has the most coverage 🌍

Does anyone have a flat map which includes Antarctica without ice? Unless of course all map projections are depicting it without ice and I just don't know any better.
Also can anyone tell me why flat maps show Antarctica as white? Is it the snow? Is everything just about the snow?

This game is called city-angle. You have to guess 1 city with angles to 5 different cities. This round is quite hard so you may need multiple guesses but let's see who get's it first. Good luckl! https://visitwhale.com/city-angle/

Each line on the picture is a distance and a compass bearing to the same hidden city. I'll hint rather than confirm until midnight UTC. It's the second round of today's Three Bearings, a daily game I made (the link opens on the easy round first): https://tenminute.games/three-bearings/day/26

For instance, this is a map of New York City: Rand McNally.
I’m trying to find something like this map to hang up on my class wall. I’m looking for a map that is labeled and detailed.
Please let me know what you all think :)
Hello, Im searching for an App or something else to set points to my current GPS position and attach pictures and some text to them. I use currently Polarsteps as an workaround but im not that happy with it, since you can only put steps into the ccurrent selected journey and you cant after finishing one add any more. I hope this is the right subreddit for this kind of Question.
My map of every 'haunted' location in Sheffield, UK using old archives, newspapers, and folklore literature. Grizzly stories include the site of a gibbeting (public hanging in a human-shaped iron cage) where the hooded figure of the executioner is said to linger, and a Starbucks housed in a building dating back to the year 1176.

Made with WhoRuled (whoruled.nitinsijwali.com), a free interactive map where you can scrub through years and click any state for its rulers and sources. Borders: aourednik/historical-basemaps (GPL). Rulers: Wikipedia's state-leader lists, imported with sources. Approximate, and borders before 1700 are especially rough.

Red = states party to the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty (Ottawa Treaty). Yellow = Ukraine, still a party but it suspended the ban in July 2025. Green = never joined, or left.
Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania completed their withdrawals in December 2025, Finland on 10 January 2026 and Poland on 20 February 2026 — the first countries ever to leave the treaty. The US, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Israel and both Koreas never joined.
Sources: UN Treaty Collection (status of the Ottawa Convention); Arms Control Association, "Countries Leave Mine Ban Treaty" (Jan 2026); Yle and Reuters on the Finnish and Polish withdrawal dates.
Map by One Map. Every country's status with its date is on the map page, and you can check what else is banned where you live: https://maps.thatonemap.com/landmines/

Hi! I'm looking for a colorful, vintage style map of the world to hang in my apartment, but I would love for it to have accurate, up to date details (as opposed to just buying a fun vintage map). I am laughably bad at geography and I want to familiarize myself with regions as I look at it, but I still want it to fit in with my vibe. Bonus points for anything relating to the ocean/details of sea creatures in the margins.
Thank you so much in advance!!
