Discussion An apparently controversial opinion, but it's not: software isn't tested enough, which is why Manjaro is the best.

When Plasma 6.7 was released, the Plasma team immediately released a bug-fixing version, and the same happened with 6.8. In both versions, the team highlighted that those bugs weren't reported during the testing phases, but there were many bugs (read here and here) . And it's not their fault; Linux doesn't offer easy ways to test beta versions, co-maintain a stable environment, or easily revert to it in case of bugs in the test version. No distro has beta versions in its stable repositories (it would be a contradiction, I know). Arch, for example, has an unstable repository, but it's only used for stable upstream versions that are still being tested on Arch, and many users don't enable that repository. When these versions arrive in the stable Arch repository, many bugs are detected; for example, there are many bug reports from Arch and Cachy users. Manjaro is in a privileged position since those users serve as testbeds, and the software arrives in Manjaro already reasonably mature without needing to wait six months or two years.
