Every-time I go get a hair cut I always end up with this same haircut, no matter what I ask for.

Barber, hairdresser, doesn’t matter. I always, without fail, leave the chair disappointed. Am I asking for something that doesn’t work with my hair maybe?
If so can someone help me find a hairstyle that might work for me.

I’ve been a short hair dude my whole life and I decided to let it grow a little and now I’m clueless on how I should be styling my hair, also I want to get a haircut to kinda clean up how i look without cutting off the long stuff but I don’t know what to ask for

If you look at mgk's hair in this video clip it's separated in big pieces and has a lot of volume but it also moves a lot. It has no hold and yet it always goes back to where it was. What products does he use? How to achieve it? I have bleached my hair already. Also it is way too full. I can get my fringe to be so full, it always has gaps in between.

Or maybe something else?

Since I shaved it, I never got talking with a girl again. I was always a confident guy and didn’t pay attention to it until now.

Hi, I have no idea which hairstyle suits me. I always had a high forehead, but the older I get, the less hair I have (as you can see 😅). Especially when I see pictures of me while looking down, I have the urge to just shave everything off completely 😵 can't stand that ugliness.

Hi, first time poster here. The idea of posting pictures of myself, specifically of the top of my head, is a bit odd but I’m at a loss as to what is going on with my hair.

A few months ago, I noticed that there was a weird split along my hairline around my temples. Further inwards felt as if a chunk of my hair were missing. Upon further investigation, I found what appears to be a horizontal split that cuts towards the center of my scalp. It persisted no matter what I did to it. Washing did nothing. I buzzed it pretty low last time I got my haircut, but it was still there when it grew back. Thankfully my hair is curly enough where I can style it to mostly hide the part, but I’d much prefer to know what’s happening and address it if possible.

For additional context, baldness does run on my dad’s side of the family and I’m currently in my 30s, so that’s a possibility that I’ve come to terms with. But I’m not sure I’d this is the case. It doesn’t seem to follow any of the usual baldness patterns that men typically go through according to the visuals I found online, nor what my dad went through as he aged (he had the standard M-shaped receding hairline).

Which is how I ended up here on Reddit. Attached are some pictures of the part in my hair. (Apologies for the shaky quality, I don’t have the steadiest hands and I was trying to get a few angles.) Is this balding? Is this a cowlick? Is this something else totally different? And is there anything I can do to address it? Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I have been on topical minoxidil and oral finasteride. Centrum men's vitamins as well. I'd really appreciate knowing what really works for you, supplements, oral and topical. Willing to spend a little extra as well. It would really help since I'm pretty insecure about my hair at this point. I am 26 Male, I naturally have a big forehead and my hair line has receded in the past few years, I also have thin hair which gets flat at the roots. I feel really depressed because no matter what I do, I'm never going to get my hair back, I know after a few years I have to go for a hair transplant surgery but till it's too early for any surgery, I want tips to get more volume and styles through which I can contour my hair so that my forehead doesn't look as big.

I absolutely love this product. However I really can't afford it. Is there anything cheaper that you use that is similar?

Most products leave a sticky feeling on my hands and sometimes my hair. I love that the tea tree just has that 'clean' feeling. (Non sticky)

I'm sure there are other expenses brands that are good but I'm on a budget these days. And I don't expect the cheaper ones to be as good as tea tree, but hopefully there's something similar?

i've recently turned 17. my dad and the men from his side have always lost a lot of hair in their 20s, gone nearly bald around 30 (just hair on the back of their head). im scared this might end up happening to me too, although some of my mom's relatives have decent hair, some of my uncles having great hair density and hairlines at 45.

i don't know whose hair I've inherited, but I'm really scared ill experience hair thinning and balding.

i do admit I have bad habits like a very bad diet, little to no exercise, stay indoors a lot and a CRAZY bad sleep schedule. I am actively trying to work on all of those.

i also has started to grow my hair out, i like long hair. is that a good idea?
