This game is the worst game I’ve ever played.

Love this guy's swing. Was grinding Legend wins on Spooky mini seasons and was enough to get it across the finish line.

I’ve only been playing since the game came out on Xbox but man, I loved this card. Love how they kept the off centered graphic for returning cards 🤣

this happens every game Shohei pitches, once he's taken out his player model gets replaced in the lineup. the height and weight stays the same so it has some funny changes.

Any one else seeing HR’s not counting in the Spooky Mini Season? I hit 4 in the first game but count is still showing 0.

Like this is gonna sound really dumb but I was playing ranked and for atleast 4 of my games my opponent was lagging pretty badly. but it seemed like on every one of them it ended up favoring their server inputs over mine, like I’d be trying to run to second and it wouldn’t let me, or trying to run home but it took so long for the input to be put in that I got thrown out. or even things like a passed ball looks like it flew way away from the catcher just to rubber band back into his glove so he can throw me out, or me hitting a grounder into right center field and their shortstop diving 40 feet after it was already 20 feet into the grass to make a play. Like all of those things would make me think that I was lagging but 2 of them lagged out and all 4 were doing the thing where their inputs were wrong on pitches so they’d be very early or very late so I’m sure it wasn’t that. so like why is what they see what goes in the game compared to what I see?

last year they waited until very late in the game cycle to drop the 99 silver slugger mookie. that was the longest we had ever gone in a single game cycle without a 99 mookie. and now this year we have waited even longer. i know he didnt have a great year which limits his chances for cards but still. hes a fan favorite and HOFer.

Because genuinely the rays dont deserve a single card. The only person I can see getting one is Aranda.

I'm by no means the best player in the world but after taking many years off from The Show I returned this season and have slowly over the year gotten better and closer to my old competently skilled self. I'm at the point where probably 80-90% of my games are on Hall of Fame now and I hover in the 700s pretty much exclusively with an occasional dip into All-Star mode if I hit a bad stretch. Again by no means elite but I'm not awful anymore
This Weekend Classic, however, was a NIGHTMARE. From the very first game I knew something was off because suddenly I was incredibly late on everything. I'm very much a free swinger and therefore my problem is rarely being super late but that I swing at bad pitches too often. Yeah I'll obviously be late occasionally if I'm sitting off-speed, but this was me being labeled 'Very Late' on fastballs when I was sitting fastball
The first game or two I thought it was just one of those days and I was just off, so I should stop and come back tomorrow to see if I could get in a groove. So I did just that but I was still struggling to time things and striking out way more than I typically would. The games felt to me like I was on GOAT difficulty like when I try to get the Diamond Quest rewards. I don't know if it was actually that bad, but I do genuinely think something was changed about the difficulty this WC. I checked the games on Showbase and it mirrored what it said in-game that all my games were on Hall of Fame Difficulty (this was in Gold 1)
So after finishing 3-3 I decided to check my stats to compare against my previous 6 Ranked play games and see how big the difference was. Oh and to get more comparable numbers I made sure the games I used for the non-WC data were all at least 7 innings long, so none of the "hit a home run, they pull" games here. It's definitely a noticeable difference, although I also had one WC game in which my opponent went AFK because he got mad and I hit three straight home runs on fastballs down the middle so the stats aren't as crazy as they likely should be. Either way it still counts so here's what I found:
| Weekend Classic Games | Score (Me, Them) | Hits | Hits Allowed | Home Runs | XBH | Pitcher Ks | Hitter Ks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Game 6 | 2-1 | 4 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 17 | 22 |
| Game 5 | 6-0 | 8 | 2 | 3 | 3 | 12 | 7 |
| Game 4 | 8-2 | 8 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 14 | 8 |
| Game 3 | 3-5 | 5 | 5 | 2 | 4 | 5 | 12 |
| Game 2 | 1-3 | 3 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 10 | 13 |
| Game 1 | 2-3 | 6 | 4 | 1 | 2 | 10 | 9 |
| Total/Average | 22-14/3.7-2.3 | 34/5.6 | 26/4.3 | 11/1.8 | 17/2.8 | 68/11.3 | 71/11.8 |
| Ranked Games | Score (Me, Them) | Hits | Hits Allowed | Home Runs | XBH | Pitcher Ks | Hitter Ks |
| Game 6 | 6-2 | 11 | 6 | 4 | 5 | 8 | 11 |
| Game 5 | 6-11 | 13 | 14 | 2 | 6 | 6 | 5 |
| Game 4 | 6-0 | 7 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 6 | 6 |
| Game 3 | 9-7 | 12 | 12 | 4 | 5 | 5 | 4 |
| Game 2 | 7-9 | 11 | 11 | 4 | 4 | 8 | 10 |
| Game 1 | 0-1 | 4 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 16 | 9 |
| Total/Average | 34-30/5.7-5 | 58/9.7 | 52/8.7 | 18/3 | 24/4 | 49/8.2 | 45/7.5 |
So as you can see it's a pretty hearty difference. You could make a few arguments as to why Weekend Classic competition might be better or worse, but doubly better or worse? That's pretty insane. And yeah, 6 games each is a pretty small sample size but you also have to take into account the 'feel' of the experience and just by that alone I'm confident something was going on here
So I don't know, is this something everyone but me knows about? Is it guaranteed that Weekend Classic games are always harder than regular ranked games? I've had a very varied experience this year when it came to Weekend Classic with some being incredibly demoralizing because I got my ass stomped, and some being exhilirating because I won a bunch and earned rewards I could turn into a lot of stubs. But this one was by far the most frustrating and least fun because it felt so awful to play
I'm glad there are the insanely high difficulties for people to play on when they get that good, but I am NOT that good and I never will be so I'm much happier playing on Hall of Fame where you can still score well if you're having a good day, but it's not like All-Star mode where everyone just fouls everything off and the winner is the player who the RNG favored the most. These games were neither of those things and not only did it feel worse, the numbers showed it WAS worse

Are there community versions of 1980's Fulton County Stadium and the 1980's Astroturf version of Busch Stadium? I tried every version of filter and wordage and can't find either. I am using someone's excellent 1982 MLB roster and want to use those stadiums to complete the nostalgia feeling. Thanks for any help!

Does anyone else struggle with specifically fastballs when using pinpoint (online ranked)? Every other pitch I can consistently get perfect release with but for some reason I almost never do with fastballs. Using a wired gamesir pro on Xbox. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

In case people don't know, especially post spring training and trade deadline when a lot of guys are out od options and teams need to make decision... you can build a very solid roster from this. Got several 80+ overall A and B potential guys between 27-30 with several years before free agency through that.

I play on PS5 and I’m very low ranked. I play a decent amount of online but I feel like no matter what I can’t see pitches or do better hitting. Are there any tips anyone can give me to improve on my hitting?

I can't seem to get out of the mode of starting with the Toronto Blue Jays and LA Dodgers. Help?
